November 29th Entry: Month Nearly Finished

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-11-29

November 29th Entry: Month Nearly Finished

Another one of those entries where I had a hard time coming up with the title. I probably could have just called it "Entry of the Duke" since the video on the school will most likely be the one to get the most views in this week's upload batch. Who knows. The other two videos might surprise me. Either way, it's almost the last day of November, so I just went with that. Is there anything special set for today? No, not that I know of. Maybe for some of you, there might be a special celebration of the sort, but not for me! Now let us discuss the three latest videos! 📸

Ok, for real though: who is the Duke of Cambridge? Oh wait -- Prince William! Well, that should have been obvious shouldn't it? I mean, I obviously knew he was some royal price, but I'm not familiar with all the other terms that they label them with, so that's just that. Should we talk about the shenanigans that took place in the November 15th Entry: Bowmanville Though? 😳😵😬😰 Actually, wait, it's better off left unsaid! 🤣 Really, it is! Anyways, my trip here was fairly interesting actually. I walked through a small portion of King Street in Bowmanville, before making my up north towards this area and passed through Vincent Massey Public School - Bowmanville. Though compact-looking in size, I hear that the school is actually large inside, and boasts 3 full floors. When the commenters arrive, I may ask one of them about this. Markings! This school was not short of markings on its pavement. The "IT'S YOUR CHOICE" marking was the one that I found most interesting, since I've never seen it at other places to date. It's usually just numbers, hop scotch, and other things. Pretty neat. Was also glad it did not remain entirely cloudy that day!😅🌞

Too bad you do not actually get to see me racing on the tracks shown above!😰 The only actual races that took place were the ones with the SRT Challenger and Lamborghini Gallardo. There was supposed to be a recorded race with the McLaren P1, but it turned out too miserable so it was omitted. 😭 Funnily, I actually almost forgot to write this entry Asphalt 8! 😅 It wasn't till when I was writing the other ramblings section, when I noticed this. The title is rather plain and boring, but didn't know what else to call it. It was mainly about me maxing more cars and discussing my progress, so I guess I could have named it something along the lines of that, but didn't. Some racing took place this time, but the drift race was very awkward... probably should refrain from recording drift races, until when somebody builds a screen recording application for Window Mobile 10. Unfortunately, it feels like I'll see Santa Claus this year before that actually happens! 🤣😁😂😅😭😒😖😕 Yeah, funny and sad at the same time! But it is what is, so I have to make do with it. Wait, there is one thing I can do to make the videos a little better: change the lights! I'm thinking of going with lights that emit bright white light, as opposed to the current lights that have a more yellow tinge to them.💡

FINALLY! No more running out of storage on the road! Wish I bought this the day I bought my Nokia Lumia 1520! Would have saved me a lot of troubles, but at the same time, I'm also glad I waited till Black Friday to get a nice discount. 😎👑🏆🎯 Yes! Now if you've watched the video, you'll know that there was originally supposed to be an unboxing segment, but that literally did not show up! 😵 If you're confused, I'll reiterate: I clearly filmed myself unboxing the Samsung EVO Plus 64GB, but yet the video did not show anything but the blank desk! 😨 "Uh, are you sure everything was in the frame?" Some of you might ask. The answer to that question is yes 100%. I have never ever seen anything like this! Of all the weird things I've seen smartphone cameras do over the years, this is by far one of the most enigmatic things my eyes have witnessed... Well, I didn't want to have no video at all, so I just resorted to actually testing the card by recording myself playing good ol' Pac-Man on my BlackBerry Q10. That video turned out fine, thankfully, but how will the card do outdoors? Especially with high paced subjects like moving cars? Time will tell hopefully soon! 🌠

Man, there was supposed to be a 4th video in this batch, but thanks to storage problems, it couldn't happen. Thankfully, that should no longer be an issue thanks to my purchase I discussed above! Not 100% sure if I'm going to get the chance to do outdoor videos this weekend, but we'll see. I'll try and get started on that commentary I mentioned last time, so we can see it on the channel for early December. By "early December" I talking like sometime between 4-8. I'd also like to do 2 gaming videos. Oh yes, and because "Tis the Season" I should upload some instrumental Christmas Carols occasionally. 🎄

Black Friday 2017

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-11-24

Black Friday 2017

Yes, oh yes! It's that wild time of November again! Deals here, deals there, deals everywhere! 😱 Well, ok not everything is honestly a good deal as we know, but there are some things that are. For YouTubers, things like cameras, memory expansion cards, lighting equipment and gear overall will be very important to them. Some of these things I'll mention, but if you've read my previous sales entries, then you should know what to expect: Smartphones! 😁 Plenty of them! But don't worry, I'll try to list some other things as well. Oh and very importantly, I must stress that this particular "sales" entry will be heavily geared towards Canadian eBay and Amazon shoppers. Last entry like this was a bit of a clusterpack with the targeted audience, but this time around the audience is clear. Well, what are you waiting for? Shop till ya drop! 🎊🤣🛒 👢👖👗

Notice: The discounts are given at the time of this very writing. The duration of the discounted prices will vary from vendor to vendor

Samsung-Galaxy-S8-G955-64GB-Unlocked-Smartphone
Was $1149, but is now $709, and offers free expedited shipping. This phone is a great alternative to the more expensive Samsung Galaxy Note 8, especially if you do not care about the S-pen or dual cameras. It also has a larger battery too.

NEW-LG-G5-H830T-32GB-GSM-Unlocked-LTE-Smartphone-ROGERS-FIDO-BELL-TELUS
So tell me something: which 2017 flagship smartphone has a headphone jack, removable battery, expandable memory and excellent cameras all wrapped into one package? None! 😰 But if you're willing to go back to 2016 for a selection, then this is the one! Well, there's also the LG V20 to be honest which boasts the same attributes, and has a larger screen, but it's not as cheap as this one. This one is going for $289.99 when it used to be $649.99. That is quite a drop!

If you do not like the Pixel 2 XL's awkward 18:9 ratio, the screen issues it came with at launch, or the fact that it does not have a headphone jack, maybe consider its predecessor? Going from a 152mm display to 140mm is a drop in screen estate, but considering that its successor exceeds the $1000 mark for 128GB, you then realize how much you'll save going with this. Either way, both offer that smooth, stock Android experience that some absolutely love. Used to be $1330 and is now $679.99.

Unlocked-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-4-N910V-Smartphone-Bell-Rogers-Fido-Telus-Koodo
"GuuzakaTube! This phone is outdated and old as fudge!" Some of you might say, but is it really? It may have been released in September 2014, but it has a lot charms: a 16MP camera, 2560 X 1440 display, a stylus, removable battery, and 145mm of screen estate. Oh, and it has a clickable homebutton! Some don't care about that, but if you miss these charms, snag this one for $219.99. A Samsung Galaxy Note 8, while shiny and much upgraded in the software and hardware department, sets you back $1300 at most Canadian retailers. Even if you don't want to use it as a daily driver, it makes a phenomenal backup phone.👑 It was the king of 2014 Android smartphones for a reason.

Seagate-4TB-Expansion-Portable-External-Hard-Drive-USB-3-0-Model-STEA4000400-Bla
Man, I wish I saw this last year! I did purchase a Seagate External Hard Drive myself last year, but it was only 2TB... 😭 Ok, some of you would seriously question why I'd say "Only 2TB" like it's nothing, but when you produce a lot of content or just generally have a lot of files, you'll see why having 4TB is great. Speaking of Seagate products, I should actually probably do a review of mine soon, since it's now almost officially been over a year. Short spoiler: I like it. 😎 With this going for $119 when it used to be $249, you can say that this is an amazing deal. Take advantage of this and get those precious files backed up!💽

Prada-Tessuto-Saffiano-Leather-and-Nylon-Wallet-Bluette
What's this? Something that's not an electronic? Yeah, I did not forget about the ladies this time! 😅 Well, ladies can buy gadgets of course, and there's plenty of them that do and love them as much as I do. But still, gotta toss something unexpected and stylish in here. Um yeah, about the stylish part: $386.99 for a wallet?! 😳 Well, it was originally going for $430, so that's better than nothing right? And it looks really nice and fancy with its brand name proudly embadged (is that a word? 🤔) into the top center. Whether you're a gentleman who really wants to surprise her, or a lady herself who's looking for a blue, lovely wallet, consider this. It's really pretty and doesn't cost thousands! 🤣

You know? I also happen to use a microphone from this company too, but mine is the Snowball version. Not the less functional iCE version, but the one with three settings. Very handy for doing my commentary and BlackBerry 10 game videos. Are these microphones any good? Of course! You probably already use one yourself, but if you don't, snap up this guy for $124.97 before he jumps back to $189.99! 😵

Excellent Performance for 4K UHD Video, Water proof, Temperature Proof, X-Ray proof and Magnetic proof. This memory card has a lot of boxes checked off, and would like to find its way into your smartphone! Will you invite him in? And hey, I hear that those Nintendo Switch things also take memory cards too, so would this one offer better performance over that cheaper one you may be using?

If, for some reason, you don't want to touch Samsung products, a SanDisk micro SD card will make an excellent alternative. It may not have some of the bells and whistles as the card above, but it does deliver ultra quick read and write speeds. That way, you will not have to worry about slow speeds, jumpy 4K footage and other problems associated with cards that are far slower. Open your card slots and let him right in! 😀 Hmmmmm....🤔

A durable, good-looking duffel bag that boasts lots of interior space and "Unmatched Durability". A great organizer you can say, especially when going on those long trips away from home. It's currently going for $49.00, but will go up to $63.46 when its sales end. If for some reason you don't like the blue, you can buy it in orange, but then that will cost you $100.85! What?! 😨 Why? I don't know, but that's not worth it unless you really hate blue and love orange? 🤔

Wrap up & Other Ramblings
Yeah! That's been it for this Black Friday 2017 entry. Hope you were able to find something of interest here. 😎🛒🎯🏆 My entry I posted earlier will let you know what's happening next on my channel.

November 23rd Entry: 4 Games Talk

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-11-23

November 23rd Entry: 4 Games Talk

Honestly didn't really know what to call this entry, so I thought I'd just go with what I put above. Hope it doesn't come off as misleading? Nah! It's about my four games I've recently recorded, so hopefully people won't think that this is supposed to be a juicy post on the latest games like Super Mario Odyssey, Sonic Forces or something. 😅

Not sure if it looks tackier to place the images below the subheadings, and then type the text below them? 🤔 Let me know what's better. So! As you can tell from the title and video itself, this recorded segment is about me just looking at the daily tasks to be done, maxing out the Lamborghini Veneno, and then decided between maxing out the Corvette or doing something else. I ultimate ended up just purchasing some cars required for getting stars from the older seasons, over dealings with the Chevrolet Corvette, La Ferrari and Sesto Elemento. Some may say that it was bad choice and that I probably should have maxed the Chevrolet Corvette. In all honesty, I think that I couldn't have gone wrong with either choice. I just wanted to try and get some of those earlier races completed while I had Double Credits activated. Ironically when time was running out, I actually jumped to seasons 7 and 8 to milk out the most profitable star bonus races. Now the parts about me racing obviously (if you've seen the video) weren't done on camera, but it was then that I realized that it really would have actually been a better idea to max a Class A car out after all... 😳😖 Heck, even a high-end Class B car like the Shelby GT500 or Lamborghini Gallardo would have been a good idea. Well, there's always another time.😏

So after running through the eerie, windy tracks from the last Mexican run, the crew has decided to head northeast to Washington District of Columbia! 🦅 Yeah, America's capital. The board special is not surprisingly an eagle for this track, and it seems to have an aerial theme judging from the presence of planes and other aircraft that can be seen on parts of the track. Oh yeah, and Lauren's 2nd outfit also backs this up. So what do I think of this track? If I must be very honest, I miss the Mariachi music and howling winds of that dumb Halloween track. I really do. It was such a special, unique touch that they've added, that I've never seen done on their tracks before. Ok, so there's probably other tracks that have bonus music mixed into the regular theme, but I've never heard or ran on them, so I can only comment based on what I've seen. But yeah, coming from that vibrant, festive track to this one with the regular music felt like a step down. Not to say that Washington D.C. sucks, because it does have its charms, but it's not as exciting. If the next tour takes place in a Christmas themed subway, it'll be interesting to see what they'll do to the music. Well, if they decide to do anything at all, that is.

Yes, this is one of those old, good, retro, pixelated shooting games. All you do is shoot the opposing aliens, spaceships and monsters to progress to the next level. Be careful not to let them shoot you though, because you apparently have no hit points! 😰 Yeah, so if you take just one hit or if they even touch you, the level restarts. 💀 So don't get #REKT wrecked! Wish this had QWERTY support so I could use the keys to move left and right and fire my lasers. Probably not something 99% of users would be concerned about, but if you have something like a Blackberry Classic, Passport or any other phone with a physical keyboard, you'll really appreciate that.🎮

So when was the last time that I uploaded a video of this game to channel? July 1st, 2016. 😲 When was this recent video uploaded? Today, the 23rd of November. Woooooo! So you can see that it's been a while. Sometimes, there are just some games that I think that I won't play and record again, only to find that I do just that: record and play. And yes, this does look just like a Koopa's shell, minus the holes. But is it really supposed to one? Likely so. This game is a simple, endless sliding platform game. Jump, dodge the enemies, collect coins and power-ups, and slide as far as you can. That's it. For this reason, some might consider this game to be very boring and slow paced, but I think it's alright. Just don't play it for too long. As I commented in the video, it would have been much better if the background would change after reaching a certain distance. Deserts, forests, snowy mountains, cityscapes and others would've been some great additions to this game.

Tomorrow's going to be that time of November again -- Black Friday! 🛒 Shops, both physical and online are going to be crazy busy! But please refrain from trampling, pushing, slapping and otherwise hurting others over materialistic goods. 😅 I know a good number of you aren't like that, but there's also a good number of you that are! 😬 And for the Internet shoppers, don't troll, abuse, or perform fraudulent tactics over goods. Now that aside, I hope you manage to successfully snag some good deals! On an Asphalt 8 front, it does not look like Gameloft will respond to my enquiry, so we'll just have to hope that they keep the updates coming for Windows Phone. I should probably get my game file synced to an online account real soon, to avoid those "accidental losses" that may happen as they claim. For the upcoming videos, it looks like this weekend will be much nicer, so I should finally be able to get back to some outdoor shoots! For games, I may record a race of Asphalt 8, but I cannot guarantee that this will happen. The commentary I planned to do will be pushed back to early December. You can also expect an unboxing video to accompany the outdoor videos being uploaded next week. Alright, now that's it and I am out!

November 21st Entry: Very Brief Smartphone Hands-ons

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-11-21

November 21st Entry: Very Brief Smartphone Hands-ons

So as the title implies, these hands-ons I've have with the smartphones you'll read about below, have literally been just quick 1-3 minutes fiddling sessions. There certainly won't be any detailed reviews here, but I will be able to tell you about what I thought of their displays, build quality, size and so forth.

With the background wallpaper totally blacked out on this demo unit, I wasn't able to see the notch, nor determine how much of nuisance it would be while browsing around on it. The phone isn't as small as I feared it might be, but not large as some of the other flagships around either. The iPhone X does have a nice build quality, which it should for a phone that cost $1500 CAD in the 256GB configuration! 😱 The vertical dual camera positioned to the far left, still looks a little odd to me. Other phones like the LG G6 and LG V30 for instance, have it positioned horizontally in the centre, which looks a little more natural. Not a dealbreaker, but just something to throw in there. The display is very nice, but unfortunately, it was a pain to navigate! The reason should probably be very obvious, but in case it isn't -- NEW iPHONE GESTURES in place of the iconic home screen button we've known and loved for years! Yaaaaaaaayyyyyy! 😁🎉 Not. 😓 While the BlackBerry Q10 and other OS 10 Blackberry phones have gestures as well, Apple has decided to implement the gestures on this phone in both familiar and unfamiliar ways to that of other smartphones.

Even though its sibling I just discussed above is supposed to be larger with a 147mm display, versus the iPhone 8 Plus with its 139mm display, the Plus has a larger body and doesn't have its screen comprised with an awkward notch atop. And to be a geek, I also like the fact that it has a more standard 16:9 ratio of 1920 X 1080 pixels, which makes it more inline with most computers and televisions. I know I've recently mentioned this in an entry already, but it's something that a lot of people overlook. They don't realize that this matters until when they play videos back, take a screen shot, load up wallpapers, and beyond. The X has a display of 2436 X 1125 pixels. 😐 Anyways! Enough with that and let's just talk about this iPhone shall we? So judging from the photos, we can see that it's also sporting dual cameras to the far left like its quirky sibling, but horizontally like on the last generation iPhone 7 Plus. The phone looks great from both the back and front, but I still missing the clickability of the mechanical button from the 6th generation iPhones. Oh yeah! And let us not forget about the headphone jack! 😫 Come on, you didn't really think you'd see me discuss two iPhones without mentioning that, did you? It would be nice to see it return for the iPhone 9, but that likely won't happen so let's just conclude this part by saying that my short time with this phone was great. The display it not as rich and vibrant as something like a Samsung Galaxy S8+, but it's by no means a grainy slouch.

"It sure is tall and narrow!" Were the words that came to mind as I picked thia stylus-toting flagship up. I really should have brought my Lumia 1520 to compare the length and height of these 18:9 ratio phones, but alas! I unwisely left it behind that day. ☹  Oh well. But yeah, I really would like for manufacturers to go back to making their phones a little broader and return to 16:9 aspect ratios. This phone is not terribly narrow, so I could live with it on a day to day basis, but I'd imagine users coming from broader phones to feel cramped. It's also a shame that there was no blue demo unit, but this one was available to do the job. I still would have preferred Samsung's capacitive buttons from older generations like on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but they ain't coming back! But hey, at least the display is gorgeous and it has a headphone jack and micro SD card slot! 😁 But no removable battery. 😭 Speaking of the card slots, you can see that this model is packing 64GB of storage, but the models in Asian countries like China, South Korea and possibly Japan, roll with 128GB! Not fair! Yes, you can easily import them, but then you'll have to use an adapter to charge it, and do additional research to make sure you get a variant with 4G LTE capability! Oh, and there's supposedly an "Emperor Edition" with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. I don't know how legit that is at this point, so let's just go ahead and discuss that stylus! Yes, you can see that the demo units finally have some protection in place! I mean, it's a true shame that ghetto thieves keep robbing Notes of their styluses, so I'd often walk into shops to test the stylus, only to find that I couldn't! Oddly enough, the LG Stylo 2 units I'd play around with, usually weren't robbed of their styluses. Not sure about the Stylus 3 though. Speaking of that, I intended to get hands-on of it months ago, but couldn't find a working unit. As we can see in the middle and bottom photographs, were presented with two lovely cameras and a fingerprint scanner positioned in a very awkward spot! Just about every reviewer who has had some time with this phone complained about this. Here's hoping that Samsung will listen and put it in a better spot for the Note 9! While I don't care for fingerprint scanners, this location is really bad! You want to know what else is bad? Bixby! But thankfully, an update has come that finally lets users to disable that pest altogether! Too bad they didn't give you the option to reprogram it to another application of your choice, such as your camera! Do you have any idea how many people have said that they would have loved if the 8th generation Samsung flagships had dedicated camera buttons, instead of Pestby? I lost count... 😥 All in all, I think the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be my pick for an Android 2017 flagship. Either it, or a Sony Xperia XZ Premium in ravishing Rosso Red! 😛😍😍🤑

What a lovely display! It's too bad the unit refused to come out of the demonstration page, but whatever. At least it functioned and allowed me to interact with it. Unlike most 2017 Android phones which sport two rear cameras, both of Google's 2017 smartphones don't. Why? I don't know, but they should have gone with this setup. Oh, and tossing in a headphone jack and memory expansion capabilities wouldn't hurt either. The top part of this phone's rear is a fingerprint magnet, but I'm not one who's overly fussy about that. You can use a case to not only minimize or eliminate this, but also protect it from day to day damage. Oh, and while we're talking about the build quality, this thing feels like plastic. Yes, it's supposed to be metal, but because it's coated with an oleophobic coating, it feels the way that it does. If you're the type that likes that premium glass and metal feel, you won't be feeling that here, unless you buy 3rd party accessories. I guess there's not much else I can say, apart from that I'd personal buy this in white if I were in the market for it.

Wrap up & Other Ramblings
Alright, so that has been it for this smartphone hands-on post! It's been quite a while since I've done one. I was really glad to be able to get a feel for these 2017 flagship smartphones, but did not appreciate the fact that Chrome kept crashing while I was typing this earlier! Good grief! After finishing the iPhone X's part, I had to switch to Microsoft Edge. How ironic it is, that a Google product being used on Google's browser was behaving so unstable, but behaved on Microsoft's browser? Too weird! But I got no time to waste! My videos? If you can recall from the last entry, I mentioned that I probably wouldn't be able to film anything due to possible precipitation over the weekend, and guess what? It rained one day, and snowed the next! 🌧🌨❄ Not lovely! So for this week, I'll be editing 4 gaming videos that should appear on the channel by Thursday hopefully. And now I'm out!
