August Talks: What I Want You To Know

The Long Awaited Discussion

Finally, eh? 😅 Here we are at the most anticipated discussion for my brands in all of 2025. 😲 After that 10-month long cryptic absence from uploading onto my flagship brand, Guuzaka, or nearly 24 months in the case of Atazaka, you are all naturally wondering, "What in the vast universe happened to this guy?" Behold! Today is the day where I will tell you what I want you to know. Here are all the topics I will be discussing in this entry: 10 Months Later: The Follow-up, Channel Description Update, Outdoor Buildings Videos, Music Plans, Gaming Plans, Commentary Plans, Parasociality, Amazon Associates, AliExpress, and August Closing Thoughts. Yes, you are in for a long read. 📖 I hope your attention span is long. 😝 Then again, if you read the July 2025 entry, you totally saw this coming, and wanted it.

10 Months Later: The Follow-up

Oops, I did it again. 😖😳 3 times now. 😬 While I have had hiatuses several times in the 2010s, from what my memory can recall, they were maybe typically 3 months at worst. They were not very common either. Enter the 2020s and OUCH! 🤕 3 ultra long hiatuses: 1 in 2022, another in late 2023 into early 2024, and here we are again with another one from September 2024 to July 2025. 💀 Let us get straight to the matter: I caught the Ultra Low Productivity Virus, and man oh man did it go nuclear ballistic on me! ☣💥☢ To clarify, I am not using this as euphemism for COVID-19 or something. While there were certainly some physical things at play, COVID-19 was not confirmed to be 1 of them. 😌

After recovering from 3 heavy-duty takeovers of the Ultra Low Productivity Virus, lots of learning, reflecting, reevaluating, and more, I have taken ultra measures. Ultra measures to ensure that this does not happen again. The only time you will ever see such a lengthy hiatus is if something absolutely valid, like, God forbid, lengthy hospitalisation happens. 💀 At the time of this writing, the 3 Gravely hiatuses I took in the 2020s have now resulted in 42 months of content debt. 💀☠💀☠ The good news is that because my content does not utilise ultra fancy editing, I do not need 42 months to clear the backlog. That said, clearing the backlog will take serious time and Lord-level self-discipline if I wish to clear it as soon as feasibly possible. 😐

Channel Description Update

This was my old channel description from XXXX To July 31, 2025:

You are on Guuzaka. 😶 The 5 major pillars of this brand are the outdoors, mobile games, products, music, and talk videos. 🌳📱📦🎼💬 However, Guuzaka is by no means a mass appeal brand. It can be rather strange, different, complicated or controversial at times. 😲 I upload videos that I like. If you like, cool. If you do not like, you are strongly advised to move on without any drama or nonsense of the sort. Important! Even though some of the videos are rate "E" Guuzaka is NOT catered to children. 🚫👦🏾👧🏾 Comment Section Rules: 1. No hate speech. 2. No spam, bots, or advertising. 3. No personal attacks. 4. Stay on topic. 5. Do not post anyone’s personal information. 6. No swearing. 7. No trolling. 8. No lying. 9. Post in English. If a foreign comment can be easily and accurately translated in Google, I will leave it alone. 10. No unintelligible posts. Comments that fail to follow rules get removed, or blocked in more serious cases.

Why I even thought this was good in the first place is beyond me. 😳 I am glad some sense came to me this Year 2025 Summer to get rid of that! If I saw comment section rules on a channel's description I would think of 2 scenarios:

1. The Channel had a very turbulent comment section, thus the need to bring it to the forefront.
2. The Content Creator is excessively rules-obsessed, and therefore an unpleasant human-being to engage with.

So where does this fall for Guuzaka? 🤔 Neither. While I firmly believe in the importance of following fair, good, civil rules, I also believe that it is important not to be predatory over the enforcement of rules, unless it is genuinely called for under exceptional circumstances. Now for the updated description:

The Great Green Guuzaka. 🟢 The 5 major categories of my brand are the outdoors, mobile games, products, music, and talk videos. 🌳📱📦🎼💬 Friendly notice that Guuzaka is not for everybody. 😅 It can be rather strange, different, complicated or controversial at times. 😲 I upload videos that I like. If you like, cool. If you do not like, you are strongly advised to move on without any drama or nonsense of the sort. 😌

Ahhhh, is this not soooooo much better than the outgoing, congested old description? 😌 Just straight to the point. Lets you know what I make, while causal-friendly letting you know that my personality is a bit different from your Family Friendly, Mainstream content creators. Sounds like a win-win if you ask me. 😏

Outdoor Buildings Videos

Had it not been for such tight time constraints, I would have made a separate blog post the same day I made the grand decision. What decision? I will copy and paste Question #5 Urban Exploration Videos:

Question #5: Why did you delete the following playlists: Automobile Dealership Comedy, Religious Buildings, Religious High Schools, Secular High Schools, Religious Schools, and Secular JK-8ish Schools?

Answer: As of July 31, 2025, I formally announce to you that I will no longer be filming these kinds of videos. This is not a decision I took lightly, but thought about repeatedly many times. I made this decision on my own; not from force or anything, but because I feel it is ultimately the right thing to do. As my brands continue to grow with the many ambitious, exciting plans I have for them now and in the future, I have to be careful about the dangerous precedent it could set if I were to keep making those kind of videos with a significant following. I will not delete what I have already uploaded. I will upload whatever has already been filmed, but no new additions. There are some exceptions.
Example 1: Abandoned places that are not high-risk.
Example 2: Something absolutely interesting happened at ABC place, like an Unidentified Object Landing on top of it.
Example 3: Certain Special Events.

Some of you are going to be saddened at first, but will understand that it is for the better of my brands and the community as a whole. On the contrary, some of you are going to be so happy to see that I finally stopped making these "Creepy" "Weird" videos, though I did also explain and dispel those notions to the people that thought that was the intent, when it never was. 😑 Fun fact: the naysayers were largely the reason why I even created the Frequently Asked Questions Page for my brands in the first place. 🙃

As explained in the Answer to Question #5, it was not the naysayers that made me stop; I chose to stop on my own terms to avoid the bigger dangers that could occur in the future. 😐 Furthermore, I really do not want to attract lots of people under 18 to my brands. 🔞 That might sound rather dry and mean, but I must be transparent about that. While my Rated E videos can be technically watched by everyone, Guuzaka Atazaka is made by an adult for adults. 👩🏾👨🏾 That is why you will notice more adult-oriented themes in the videos of the newer years. 👀 This does not mean necessarily mean a surge in sex, nudity, drugs, and similar, however. If you watch a variety of my videos entirely, you know exactly what I am getting at. Other outdoor videos will continue to be part of my brands for as long as my health permits. 🌞

Music Videos

As much as I yearn to play my Tenor Recorder and Soprano Chalumeau again, I honestly do not know when I will get around to playing them. 😶 But I can tell you something I have noticed: Unboxing Aulos Tenor Recorders 211A-E consistently ends up in the top 10  on my Channel Analytics. 😲 What I find particularly strange is that the video is not even in my top 20 for view count. 🤨For a 4-year-old video to keep getting new views, it tells me some important things:

1. People love the sound of the tenor recorder, so long as you play at least moderately good.
2. The most shocking point of all time: people want to see more tenor recorder videos. 😱

So, why am I not playing and recording anymore? 🤔 Ongoing things that have not been resolved...... 😶 Hint: hands, arms, and other. 😶🪐👹

"Hold on Guuzaka, since when did you get a chalumeau, and how come we have not seen it yet?!" You must be wondering. Well, just 1 of literally 100s of videos I still have not gotten around to uploading yet, and then I just had to exponentially exacerbate that by going on a 10-month long, giga stupid, unproductive content hiatus. 😳🤪😵🥴

Gaming Plans

I do not have any gaming priorities at this time. There are certainly plans in the future, but nothing at the moment as of August 2025.

Commentary Plans

I think about commentary videos a fair bit. 🎙 However, due to the amount of time it takes to put together a script, edit the script, record the script, and then edit the video, you can easily see why commentary videos are so far and few between. 😶 This will change once the video backlog is dealt with.

Parasociality

I have been seeing this word so much on YouTube and Reddit, that the day has come where I take a professional look at what this word means. Before I quote the professional definition, here is what I thought it meant: Cringey social media people obsessing over another creator who will never want anything to do with them. 😂👏🏾🤣 And now for the professional definitions:

"A parasocial relationship is a one-sided relationship where a person extends time, energy, and emotion toward another person (often a celebrity or public figure) who doesn’t know them" --Everydayhealth

"Parasocial relationships go beyond simply following an influencer and engaging with their content. “It involves a level of commitment to a public figure where you even begin to view the celebrity as a friend or confidante,” --Jessica Leader

Right, so I was not entirely wrong then. 😆 However, after reading the full article on that website, it is clear that 99% of the time when people throw the term "Parasocial" around, they are typically using it the most negative context possible. Because according to the same website, these relationships do not always have to be negative, so long as the admirer is not making their idol feel uncomfortable, they are not stalking them, prioritising real relationships over parasocial relationships, isolationism, and et ceterea.

What do I think of parasociality personally? 🤔 100% Pointless. 😐 Why should I invest time, energy, and emotion into somebody who does not give a rat's backside about me? Do not get me wrong. Of course I have content creators that I follow on social media. However, I expect absolutely nothing from them in return, other than basic online politeness and the content I followed them for in the 1st place. 😌 Furthermore, a fair bit of people in celebrities and creators are actually rude in reality. 🖕🏾 Not everybody, but if you have ever seen those "Celebrities/Creators That Are Rude In Reality" threads, you realise how many people end up on those lists. 😳

There is no doubt that forming meaningful relationship with people can be very challenging for some, but parasociality is not the answer, folks. 😬 There are resources that can, and should be used for people struggling to form meaningful real-life relationships. Some might be free. Some might be cheap. Some might be subsidised by your country. You will never know, until you actually make an effort to try. 🌱🌞

Amazon Associates

I will keep this part ultra short: if you are from Canada, United States Of America, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, or Japan, consider purchasing from my Amazon locale affiliate links so I can officially get into the program for each locale. If users do not get 3 qualified sales within 180 days, Amazon discards the application. 💀 You then have to reapply for each locale that failed to meet 3 sales within 180 days. 😒 You can also find these links in my videos' descriptions.

AliExpress

There are a fair bit of videos I have in the pipeline, where I have purchased numerous quality products from AliExpress. 🛒 Yes, "Quality" and "AliExpress" can be said in the same sentence. 😆 You just have know who to buy from. Pay attention to things like whether or not the seller has a silver badge, golden badge, ratings, AND whether or not verified reviews, ideally with customers' item pictures are present. Even if the seller does not have a fancy medal, the reviews, ratings, and customer pictures will be your sword and shield. ⚔🛡 Even if something is faulty, and you have proof of it with picture or video in some cases, genuine sellers are usually pretty good at informing you to have AliExpress refund your money. 😌

So here are some real things that I have actually personally purchased: Infinity Nado 3, 2 In 1 Mechanical Keyboard Key Cap Pullers, 18650 Batteries, Samsung Galaxy S5 Home Buttons, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Home Buttons, and a Hangsong Universal Stylus to name some. I would imagine Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max cases and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra cases to also be very popular. 😏 When I curiously looked at the trending page, I see a highly variable list of things from BINBOND Luxury Men's Quartz Watches, 100% Cotton Men T-shirts, Women's & Men's Gym Bags, Women's Bikini Sets, Men's Denim Shoes, and literally 1000s more. 🤯 Those I have not purchased, so I cannot comment on their quality.

August Closing Thoughts

November 12th Entry: October 2019 Uploads

Guuzaka                                                                                                          2019-11-12

November 12th Entry: October 2019 Uploads

👉🏾This blog post may contain affiliate links. When you click and purchase something from within these links, I may earn a small percentage of that sale. 💲 This is done at no extra expense to you. Guuzaka is not an official salesmen of these vendors. Therefore, any potential product problems and other technicalities must be dealt with through official staff of the online shop.

Looks like I'm on a role with getting the separate blog posts for the September and October 2019 uploads done today! 🐱‍🏍 What are you waiting for? Read, laugh, frown, watch, shop, and/or comment!

These are the following products I unboxed in this video:

So now that I have had a lot of time to use these extensively, I can tell you which one I like the most: the Sony On-Ear Headphones. Why? Because On-Ear Headphone feel so much better and more comfortable to work with than In-Ear Headphones. 🎧 In terms of audio quality, I have not noticed a major difference between these headphones. The Sony On-Ear Headphones obviously  beats the In-Ear Headphones, but not by a long margin. All of these headphones don't just "do the job"; they actually do it well. Are they studio-grade headphones? Of course not! 🤣😂 But they are not low-quality dung either, despite their price tags. Longevity? So far, so good, but time will tell at some point into 2020 and beyond! 🌠

Wow. As I write this entry, there is snow on the ground and it is below 0°C. 🥶 Makes me miss summer so bad! 😭 Oh well. Warm weather will return in 7 months. 😨 Um, hold on.... 7 months.... That's deep... that's long.... Oh, right! Canada is within the Arctic circle after all, so even the Southern regions take forever to get to 25°C+ weather. At least they can though, because there are parts of the country that cannot even see 12°C in July! 😱 Ever heard of Ellesmere Island? You know, the Canadian north pole? 🎅🏾 Yeah, that's who I'm talking about!

Anyways! This was my first visit to this park. 🌳🌊🌞 The footage from the Nokia Lumia 1520 turned out gorgeous as expected.  I liked it so much, that I went back another weekend to collect stones from the coastal area. 🤓

The BlackBerry Passport version of this video focuses more on walking eastward along Rotary Park's coast. Because I did not bring long rubber boots that day, I did not go as far as I could. The BlackBerry Passport's camera does not win any photography rewards. However, there are some scenes of this video that turned out exceptionally good. 🌞Particularly the part where I stooped down to showcase a stream flowing out into the Lake, while water was flowing over the rocks. 😍 Wow, that was beautiful! And oddly enough, out of the three smartphones that I recorded with that day, as of November 12, 2019, the BlackBerry Passport's version has the most views. 🤨 Clearly, there can only be two things to explain this:

1) The BlackBerry 10 community enjoys seeing videos produced from a phone that many consider "obsolete"

2) Perhaps viewers prefer higher frame rates over resolution? 🤔 I personally prefer 4K, but to each their own.

Who knows for sure, but keep watching the videos! 👍🏾

You see, this is why shooting in 4K is my default choice whenever a smartphone is capable of doing so: the sheer amount of details it captures is amazing! 🔍 And when you use something that already has a good camera like an iPhone, it makes the video even better. 🍎 So, um, I guess I should talk about those butterflies, right?🦋😧 Honestly, I'm not sure if they're drowning, dying, or both. 😶 While sad, it was an interesting site to see them right on the coastline. Why they would even hang out on the beach in the first place, is something I still cannot figure out. ❓ If there were plants and flowers right in the middle of the sand, then that would explain it. There was not, so ------ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The following items were unboxed in this video:

Now I know exactly what you're thinking: 😲😱🤯! Right? Well, here are the simplified names:
  • Tofun Electronics Accessories Bag
  • Locking Krendr D-Rings
  • Geekria EJB61
  • 90 Pieces of PandaHall Elite Clasps
Ahh, soooooo much easier on the eyes, eh? 😎🌴🌊 So! Out of all of these things, which one have I used the most? The Geekria EJB61. 🎧 Why? Because I like to use my headphone jack! You know, the thing that most smartphone makers insisted on getting rid of, so they can force consumers into that wireless dung? 🤡 Yeah, that useful little hole. With the combination of a Gimars carabiner, you can attach it to all sorts of things: your jeans, backpack, purse, satchel, and many more. Some of things, it's obviously better off going inside them, but at least you know the option to hold it outside exists.

The sole product unboxed in this video is a small box that contains 10 Gimars carabiners. Not a ton more to say about that, other than I use these more than I use the locking carabiners. That may change, though. ✴

Harmonic singing, Pagani Huayra BC, and multiplayer. That is this video in a nutshell. 🏔🎶🎮 But the question is Why?! Who would ever sing like this while playing a racing game?! 🤯 Really, who else? Is this not the channel where "all sorts of things" happen? Yes, yes it is. 🕶🌳🌲📱🎶🎮🍁

I am torn between whether or not this should get an entry entirely on its own. 🤔 Yes, I think it wholly deserves to be a separate topic. The nature of it is very serious. Having it jumbled within a this blog entry of other topics, would be too distracting for a matter like this. Stay tuned for that post. 😐⚠

Since the King Of The Fall Update has come upon us, there are some things that have changed, others that have not. Asphalt 9: Legends is not as pay-to-win as it was, ever since they improved the garage system. It now allows us to get epic import parts for many past Unleashed vehicles. And their blueprints, too. 🏁 Still, there are many nagging issues such as knockdowns in multiplayer, unhealthy multiplayer league requirements in the World Series, the inability to choose the epic import parts at the end of the season, multiplayer latency and/or hacking, inability to choose between 60 FPS and 30  FPS -- ok, pretty much everything I mentioned in the video is still relevant. 😕 Not good! I appreciate the frequent car hunts, and ease of getting past unleashed vehicles, but even this is still not good enough, especially when you look at how bad the unfixed problems are. Will Gameloft change? 🤔 Time will tell, but it is certainly possible.

Let's get this out of the way: the D-ring carabiner is not very useful, due to its small opening. So what I did, was I took two pliers: one to hold, one to open, and took off the tiny ring. I fitted it with a larger D-ring from my PandaHall Elite set, then put a Gimars D-ring carabiner onto it. 😎👑👍🏾 Totally worth the upgrade. Now, attaching my Geekria EJB6906 onto things is WAAAYYYY easier! ✅ As for the Geekria case itself, I love it. It looks and feel great. If you are wondering why I have two, I'll tell you:

1) One is used to hold my Audio Technica SonicFuel In-Ear Headphones that I use for outside of the house.

2) The other is used for the indoors, where it holds my Skullcandy Ink'd+ In-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones

So now you know.

This picture was taken before fitting a larger D-Ring onto them. I have not taken a picture of the upgrade yet, but should probably do so at some point.

My oh my! 🤯 Another noise session with throat singing?! YES! 🏔🎵🌳🌲🌊 This time, even more of it! 👀 "Is every episode going to have it?" No, but prepared for the unexpected! 👾 Fun fact: most of the rocks in that video came from the coastlines of Ajax, Whitby, and possibly Oshawa. 🤓 Why do you care to know that? BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU DO! 🤪 Stop freakin' lying so much just to look cool, when it's making you look dumber than Dummer LeDumDum! 🤣😂😆😝

So as I mentioned in the previous entry, I wanted to get the entry for the September-October 2019 uploads done first. I initially had plans to have everything under one blog post. 🤯 Thankfully, I quickly scrapped that idea. 😌 It's not good to have too many videos and topics jumbled into one entry. It's chaotic. 😵 As for the November uploads, I'll likely begin editing them later this week, or early next week. You can expect to see them close to the end of the month. There are two more posts I need to cover for this week: the warning post and "Link Link". While you know what to expect for the warning post, you do not know what "Link Link" is all about. It sounds like it suggests that Nintendo character, but nope! Nothing to do with him at all! 🤣😂 Stay tuned to find out soon! In fact, since the latter three entries are overdue, I'll put all the links to them in a single Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr post, as opposed to giving them a separate post each.

Amazon Associates Confession

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2019-09-09

Amazon Associates Confession

🔵This blog post may contain affiliate links. Additional notice: The javascript is being wonky and automatically linking nearly mention of "Amazon" in this blog post. This is problematic because if I wanted to mention "Amazon" as in the rainforest, I would not want to send people to the online shopping site with the same name. Please excuse this until there is a fix. 2019-09-11 Update: It has been fixed.

Not even going to beat around the bush. I joined twice and failed. 😳😓🥵🥶 For those of you that do not know what I'm talking about, read this:

"If your affiliate links have not referred qualified sales after 180 days, your application and access to Associates Central will be withdrawn."

More specifically, Amazon requires you to make three qualified sales within 180 days, before they can review and officially accept you into their program. Otherwise, you just have to start over again. Yep, that means re-entering all the application details, banking information and so forth. It's not the most time consuming thing in the world, but still annoying. 🕒 The bigger issue is that if you've placed those links on say a blog post, a Tweet or something, the links posted under that Associate account become expired. 💀 That's right. Expired. So if someone clicks and purchases something from your dead link, you get nothing. 😶 You can of course remove the dead link and replace it with your newly applied account's links. BUT, what happens you have posted those links on many social media postings? It's not feasible to go way back and replace them, so you're often left to leave them alone. Replacing them on things like recently uploaded videos isn't too bad in comparison. You get the idea.

Today, September 09, 2019, I have decided to give it a go again for the third time, but with a different plan: I'm actually letting you know that I need your help to make those sales. Unlike the past where I'd just place them in the video descriptions or occasionally Tweets, Instagram, Tumblr or Blogger posts, and hope people would just click without knowing what's going on. Honesty is key. So! With this said, here are the locales of my Amazon Associate pages below.

Canada 🍁
Spain 🎸
France 🥖
Italy 🎻
Japan 🌸

Questions
I know some of you will have questions, so I will answer the ones I already expect.

Question #1: Is it three sales per locale, or across all countries?
Answer: Three for each locale.

Question #2: Is there a particular locale that's a priority to you?
Answer: I would like to be accepted into all locales, but Canada, the United States and United Kingdom are the most important ones to me. The reason for this is because of the use and ease of them being English by default. Because I am Canadian, much of my YouTube audience is naturally Canadian. As for my Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, I'm not entire sure where the bulk of my audience is coming from. I suspect Canada and United States.

Question #3: Why Amazon? Don't you have VigLink?
Answer: The biggest issue with VigLink is that they only pay you every 90 days (or 60 days for those that opt for express), so long as you generate $10 USD or more. Also, even though they are an aggregate network, some key websites like Amazon and eBay do not affiliate through them. Amazon, as we know, is clearly a major online shopping giant. This is why it makes sense to get into their affiliate program, if you have YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, or other social media accounts. Having a diverse source of income is very important in today's age.

Question #4: Are there certain items that qualify? Like does it have to be expensive?
Answer: No, it doesn't have to be something extravagant like a KATARINA Diamond Tennis Line Bracelet in Gold. It can be something something as simple as a box of pencils. It just needs to be a legitimate purchase specifically through my links.

Question #5: If I live in Canada, but buy something from your Spain locale, would that count go towards Spain or Canada?
Answer: I honestly don't know. It's best you stick to the country you live in.

Question #6: Why those countries? Why are highly populous countries like China and Mexico missing from your affiliated locales?
Answer: This is something you would have to take up with Amazon. Canada United States of America United Kingdom Germany Spain France Italy Japan are all countries eligible for OneLink. This means that when you click on an Amazon hyperlink that uses the OneLink text, it should take you to the country where it detects you are from. The other countries do not affiliate or have this option.

Question #7: What if I don't like you, or any of your online acts?
Answer: Then you obviously do not have to help me get into any of the Amazon locales. It's best you leave in a civilized manner, and just stay away from me. It doesn't have to be anything difficult or dramatic. Remember, it's been said before and I'll say it again: GuuzakaTube is not a mass appeal brand. If you happen to like the content, great. If not, move along respectfully.

Question #8: What if I like you, but don't like Amazon or this whole affiliate marketing thing?
Answer: If you don't like Amazon, but do like online shopping, you can shop through my other affiliate links. If you're not into online shopping at all, then you can support my online works by leaving proper, good, or constructive comments. Not bottish, rude, scammy, spammy, self-advertising, snide, nasty, or defamatory ones.

Question #9: Are you sure your links are safe?
Answer: Yes, always make sure you sure from my official YouTube, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr pages.

Question #10: Why don't you just embrace Patreon or some other tipping platform?
Answer: Not for me.

Question #11: So why did you wait so long to confess this?
Answer: Because of pride. I did not want people to assume the wrong things, so I did not say anything. After failing two times with this, I realized that I had two options: #1 keep doing the same thing over again hoping for different results, only to get the same thing -- Insanity! #2 Just be honest and tell people what and why. The latter was the smarter way to go about this.

December 27th Entry: Post-Boxing and Christmas Day

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2018-12-27

December 27th Entry: Post-Boxing and Christmas Day

🔵This blog post may contain affiliate links

Welcome! Did you have a wonderful, memorable Christmas this year? What about Boxing Day? Did you go out to shop on the first day? Perhaps you shopped online instead? Christmas may be over, but you still have to deal with both online and offline traffic of shopping people. Oh, and then there's the ultimate day -- New Year's Day! 🌠✨🎉😃 4 More days until 2018 is finished forever. 😶 What things will 2019 bring forth? 🤔 Only God knows... For now, let us proceed to discussing the latest uploads on my channel.

The obvious? I unbox a Lightning Cable and Birugear Shell. Boring! 😒 What you want to know is why I purchased those things. For the Lightning Cable, I only had one in my possession. It was also very long, so I wanted something shorter, thus the 30cm Anker Powerline II Lightning Cable fit the bill. For the Birugear Shell, I specifically mentioned that it was for my upcoming 4TB Seagate Backup Plus, so nothing too special about the story behind that. As you can see within the video, the Lightning Cable did its job, and is still performing very well up to now.

So aside from unboxing a blue 4TB Seagate Backup Plus, what else happens in and off camera? I compared the sizes between the 4TB and 2TB Seagate Backup Plus. If you still haven't seen the video at this point, you should. The differences in thickness are greater than I thought they were! 😂🤣 And as such, the 4TB Seagate is naturally heavier. Not so much the point that it's a brick, but you can feel the difference. Perhaps what you would really like to know, is how well does it fare when transferring files? One day, I transferred 1.14TB of files to see what would happen. The result? It took 14 hours to move all of them! 😲🤯😱😳 I did not expect it to be fast, because after all, it's not the Seagate Backup Plus Fast 4TB. But still, we can all agree that that's pretty damn slow, eh? 🐢Nevertheless, I'm just glad it transferred them reliably, and without issues. At the time I type this blog post, the Seagate Backup Plus Fast 4TB costs $750 CAD! 😲🤯😱 Seagate Backup Plus 5TB X 4 + Ontario Sales tax = $723.15
So this means that you could have 20TB of storage, plus $26.85 left to spare by going with that route. 😶 Yeah, wow. It pays to do the math, eh? Still, if you're ultra rich and want the speed, then by all means go for it. Even then, you still might change your mind after seeing this. Or will you? 🤨

If it wasn't obvious enough from the overt use of red and green in the thumbnail, this episode was dedicated to playing Christmas carols. 😄🎄🎵 Unfortunately, it was not a very rosy experience at all. 😖 I attempted the record the episode three times in total, only to ultimately end up keeping the 1st attempt. 😵 "So what exactly happened?" You must be asking? I did not like how the first attempt had too many cut offs after the first 10 minutes. It made it such a pain to record songs after that. So I then thought, "Hey, why don't I save the stock camera video footage to the internal space? That way, it'll be forced to save the entire video, right?" BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! 😱 It kept running until nearly 70 minutes past! At that point, I was wondering what in the universe was going on? 🤨Shouldn't it stop and save the video already? How come the phone isn't getting any hotter? Turns out, that after running for 70 minutes, the camera decided that it was going to save just 8 minutes out of that. 8. 💀 No wonder I wasn't prompted about the storage getting full or the phone getting hot: because it wasn't actually recording anything past 8 minutes, despite giving me the impression that it was.  😠😡 INCOMING RANT!

It was at that point, where I finally vowed to NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE AGAIN USE THE STOCK MICROSOFT CAMERA! IT IS THE CRAPPIEST, GLITCHIEST, MOST TICK-INFESTED CAMERA APPLICATION I HAVE USED IN MY LIFE! OHHHH, BUGROSOFT! WHAT DUNG IS THIS?! WHAT DUNG IS THIS YOU HAVE PUT INTO YOUR PHONES?! WHAT A SLIDIN', STINKIN', RANKIN' APPLICATION! OHHHH, THE FURY AND FIRE! OHHHHH, THE HEAT OF THE DRAGON'S BREATH! OHHHHHH, WHAT DUNG IS THIS?! THE PRESSURE OF THE SERPENT'S CONSTRICTION! THE BITE OF THE GREY OF WOLF! THE STING OF THE BEE! THE SCREAM OF THE COCKATOO! THE MIGHTY PUNCH OF THE HUMAN! THE STOMP OF THE ELEPHANT! OHHHH, BUGROSOFT! WHAT DUNG IS THIS?! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

😴Rant finished.😴

For attempt three, I decided to use ProShot. For some reason, I don't know why the 4K option is greyed out for the Nokia Lumia 1520, despite being a 4K capable device. I tried e-mailing the developer about this, only to get an automated e-mail explaining that he no longer responds to e-mails. Why? Because of the sheer volumes of e-mails and questions he gets. 😒 Lovely... That's why you should have a team in place for answering questions! 😑 I decided to just record at 1920 X 1080, as opposed to the 3840 X 2160 that I would have loved to do. The recording went well, and everything saved. Yay right? When I editing time came, I realized that the audio had too many distortions! 🤦🏾‍♂️ So much so, that I would have been better off recording the video with my iPhone 6s Plus. In fact, I probably would have spared myself this entire dilemma, if I had just used it in the first place. Why didn't I? Long explanation short, the mono channeled MOV files the iPhone produces, come out with distorted audio after they're processed in Windows Movie Maker. But despite that, they're not too bad in videos that aren't focused on the sounds of nature. All in all, you can see why I just went back to keeping the first attempt: to keep the video in 4K and have no audio distortions.

"Another smartphone from years ago?" Some of you must be thinking. Well, you know what? Not only are they far cheaper, but have headphone jacks, no notches, most had microSD card slots, and the slab phones had a 16:9 aspect ration. Not the stupid 18:9 ratio that many of the 2017 and 2018 smartphones have. So in other words, aside from having weaker processors or no more software support, they have more hardware charms. So that aside, why the BlackBerry Passport? I'll tell you: I'm retiring my BlackBerry Q10 shortly after the 2019 New Year. 🙏🏾⚰🌹🕯😥 That will be a whopping 5 years! And yep, it's still working up to this day. No motherboard failures, no audio jack failure, no charging port failure, none of that nonsense. The smartphone that was my first smartphone. When the video comes, I'll discuss more "memorable" things, but for now, let us divert our attention to the BlackBerry Passport! 😄

Here are the four things that shock me the most about the BlackBerry Passport

1. How pleasantly large it is! 🙏🏾👍🏾
2. How bright and beautiful the screen is. 🌞
3. How weird the typing experience is. 👎🏾 Really wish they gave it a fourth row of keys. The missing numpad is truly awkward.
4. The lack of 4K recording on a flagship smartphone with a Snapdragon 801 processor. 😥

All in all, I love the BlackBerry Passport despite its shortcomings. No, I have no plans to buy the BlackBerry KeyTwo. It's awkwardly narrow, and I prefer my BlackBerry devices with BlackBerry 10 on them. When I buy an Android smartphone, it will likely be Samsung, LG, Sony or maybe even Razer.

You can already tell right from the thumbnail what happens in this video. But what you don't know is why -- why did I do this in the first place? Well firstly, I wanted to do a gaming video this month. Secondly, I realized that with a 4th smartphone, I could film three of the major operating systems doing something: playing FLAPPY BIRD! 🐦🤪🕊 And so there the idea was born. 😆 Another fun fact: while I was sorting the videos into their playlists, I realized that this one did not fit in with the other gaming videos, so you know what I did? I created a brand new playlist dedicated to this unique category: Multiple Platform Mobile Gaming. Yes, crazy, but it was a "necessity". 🤣😂

"Should I upload this to YouTube or not?" That's the question that kept going back and forth, when I had to make a decision about what to do with this video. Ultimately, I decided to upload it, because why not? There is nothing wrong with it, so I just combined what was actually two separate videos into one. What surprise gifts did you get for Christmas? 🎄🎁

2019 New Year's! 😃✨🎉🎊 No, I won't be filming the fireworks for it, but it's both exciting and nerve-wracking to think about what lies in store for 2019. Hopefully mostly good. 😅 Stay safe out there, and have fun! 😎 This blog entry may either be the last, or second last of 2018, depending on whether or not I do a final entry on the 31st, like what I did last year.
