January 11th Entry: Welcome to 2018!

Welcome to the 1st blog post of 2018! 😄🎉 I was kind of thinking about actually doing a post on the 1st itself, but decided against it since I had other things going on that day, I wanted to focus on. But anyways, we're less than 2 weeks into the brand new year, and many things lie ahead. Some good; some not so good. 😏 Now allow me to take this opportunity to discuss my first three uploads of the year below.

Whoa, something about the way I drew Alex's eyes...😥😐 Surprised I didn't comment about my less than stellar drawings in this one. 😬 Oh well. Though The Emoji Movie was slammed as being horrible by many, so I decided to give it a watch. Sure, it certainly wasn't a film or video on wildlife, technology, instruments or a game I like, but the combination of it being about emojis, and how people made it look as though it were deathly awful, has triggered me to watch it. After watching it, I found it to be _____ (watch the video!😜). What did you think of it? Were you aware that you can buy a giant floater poo emoji?💩 I wasn't either! 😰😬😨😳🤯😱

So as you can see from the Iceland picture, Gameloft has added some Christmas festivity to the Icleand, Alps and Tokyo tracks for the Hot Wheels Update. I might have heard or read somewhere that it was coded to disappear shortly after the Christmas season ended, but it doesn't seem like that's true after all? Anyways! No races take place in this video, as it was all about me opening a ton of boxes, expanding the storage, maxing, pro'ing and making some purchases. Speaking of the purchases, I'm actually glad I made them after all, because these time-limited cups sometimes force you into using only select cars. Today, the 10th at the time I wrote this part, was one of those days. There were only a few Class D cars allowed for a certain Alps Cup. Luckily for me, I purchased that ugly, but powerful, Donkervoort and was able to not only participate, but finish first. I didn't make it anywhere into the top 100s or anything, because I don't even have the thing maxed. I'm just glad I had it to participate and win something, that's for sure. So making purchases during these "Big spending" episodes, always pays off, even when I can't see the immediate return. Let's see if I can try and exceed 3,000,000 for the next "Spend off" episode! 🤣 On a another note, I really wish these token cars would just become credits cars.☹ Even if they cost 3,500,000, I'd much prefer that over these tokens... Dual currency is a mess! 😵 Especially when the other currency is too hard to easily obtain!😠

My Subway Surfers videos could look as good as these screenshots, if only the Windows Phone platform had a screen recorder... Oh well! We're not hear to talk about that. Instead, we're here to discuss the Cairo subway system! How is it? Well, the same as the others, but with Egyptian aesthetics thrown onto it. How cool would it be if they had some ancient Egyptian music mixed into the song? If you ask me, that would be freakin' awesome! However, such is not the case. What we do have, is a choice of two types of boards: the Nile crocodile and the scarab. The latter interests me greatly, but it's too bad that you have to pay $1.29 to get the basic board, $5.29 if you want it with smooth drift, and $6.49 if you want smooth drift + speed up. Heh, heh, heh...😅 I am not up for that at all, so I'll just have to pass! You could also do it with 110 blue keys I think, but again, I do not have that much keys, nor do I want to buy any. Up to this point, I still have not unlocked princess Jasmine, but I am working on that. At the time I type this, I have roughly 89,000 coins, so I should be unlocking her pretty soon. I'll try to get another episode of the Cairo track done, so I can show her in action. I missed this opportunity with Nicolai, so I'll try not to do it for the others, if feasible.

So there you have it. The 1st entry and video discussion of the 2018 year! 😃🌠 LOL, I sure am making this sound like it's grand and special, when it isn't and is at the same time. "What happened to the outdoor videos?" some of you might ask. Well, the answer for that will be an easy one to answer: it was -26°C last weekend, and on top of that, I was under the weather. 😰😭😢 Is that supposed to be normal for southern Ontario? Of course not! Does it happen anyway? Yep, it's Canada after all. Most smartphones have a hard time functioning in extreme weather, but even if I was feeling good, and had something like a Samsung Galaxy S8 ActiveKyocera DuraForce XD, or Caterpillar CAT S60, the idea of walking around while filming with it close to -30°C, is absolutely bone-chilling! 😨 So this aside, what will be coming next? Likely a gameplay video and commentary. I'd like to do an outdoors video, but these days thanks to a variety factors, it's been hard to guarantee outdoor videos. I hope it can happen though. It'll be interesting to see where not only my channel will go, but where I'll also go as a person in 2018.
