July 4th Entry: The June 2019 Dozen

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2019-07-04

July 4th Entry: The June 2019 Dozen

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Yeah, thanks to the mix up that took place in May, it has made the upload and blog post schedule rather off. ๐Ÿ˜ต I'd normally like to have the blog post done the same month the videos are uploaded, but alas! Haven't been able to do it for May or June, so now here I am doing the blog post for June 2019 in July. ๐Ÿ˜ Hopefully, July's videos will be able to have their blog post done in July, so things can be more "in sync".

Video and blog post upload complaints aside, July is a rather festive, patriotic month for Canadians and Americans alike. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ… This is due to the obvious national celebrations that take place on the 1st and 4th respectively. If you've read "Canada Day 2019: Canada's 152nd Anniversary!" you'll know I spent my Canada Day doing the usual. And yes, I was able to successfully capture another video, photos, and all. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐ŸŒ

And because the day I've uploaded this blog post happens to be July 4th, happy Independence Day to my American viewers! ๐Ÿฆ…✨๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ God bless America! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Alright, let's discuss the June 2019 uploads now. ๐ŸŒŠ

Ah, Lakeview Park. Oshawa's most frequently visited coastal park. Was hoping for it to be a sunnier day, but it was rather cold in opinion. ๐Ÿ˜’ Yeah, I don't know what was up with June 2019, but it wasn't as warm as it should be for southern Ontario. Nevertheless, I was able to get a nice video and photos. Speaking of videos, you'll notice the following in the comment section:

"If you're wondering why "Nokia Lumia 1520 4K Lakeview Park June 2019 Visit" and "Nokia Lumia 1520 4K Lakewoods Park Lookout June 2019 Visit" do not look as sharp as they should for 4K videos, it's because the codec quality was at 59% - 69% when they were exported...๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ Now that I'm aware of this, the videos that will be uploaded in the coming days should look better."

You want to know what the real problem was? I was supposed to set the codec to "Default for format" ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ It's no wonder after setting it to 100%, my videos were exponentially increasing their size! Like 80 to 90GB!!! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ณ On top of that, I was setting it to libx264 or h264_qsv, and wondering why they would go hours to process, only to end up not even being playable. ๐Ÿ’€ Yeah, so that too, was another thing that held up the upload dates and blog posts for June 2019... ๐Ÿ˜ฃ๐Ÿ˜– Learning an entirely new video editor has certainly proven to be a challenge. ๐Ÿ˜ต Thankfully, I've gotten so much better at it, over a fairly short time. My videos are no longer degrading their quality, coming out blacked out, or at ridiculous files sizes. Who would have thought something as simple as "default for format" would have saved me so much headaches, resources, and time? ๐Ÿ˜…

This hill indeed gives you a good look at the lower coasts of Oshawa. But, um, as you can see from the video, the water at this part clearly has a problem... ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿคข๐Ÿ™ˆ Not sure if it is algae, garbage, or both. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Commentary & Discussion With Walk Around Footage June 2019
This video has been cancelled, and may not end up ever being created after all. This was largely due to time constraints. It's a shame, because I really wanted to have a good chat about a variety of things happening. ๐Ÿ˜

No, I did not end up getting the Class S speed kings, but certainly did not expect to either. The goal was to get much closer to unlocking them. If you've watched the whole video, you'll see that I did end up unlocking the Lamborghini Aventador Jerk Chicken! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

When most people think of Oshawa's coastal parks, they think of Lakeview Park as the default. But you know what? Their are some better gems, and I believe this is definitely one of them. Seriously, I was in awe of the beautiful photographs and videos I was able to capture with my 3 smartphones. For the Nokia Lumia 1520, I stood mainly in the area under the tree with the pink flowers. A brief part of the video does take place at the Intrepid-Lakefront border, where I started the BlackBerry Passport's video of this place.

As mentioned above, the Intrepid-Lakefront border is where I decided to start the BlackBerry Passport's video. While the high frame rates are plenty smooth, I do honestly wish this phone had 4k. Would have made everything so much more detailed, but whatever. I like it for what it is: a broad, QWERTY smartphone with a high-end chipset running its own operating system. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ I went as far west as I could before beginning the iPhone 6s Plus' video. Lo and behold, the area with the geese was accessible this time! ๐Ÿคฏ Someone put a narrow, but wide enough to put your foot on, piece of wood across the water to make the area accessible. Not sure what inspired them to do it, but I can imagine that if the geese and seagulls could talk, they would have been shouting lots of expletives at the person who did it! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

I started filming with the iPhone 6s Plus shortly after the geese departed for the lake. Some opted for the marsh. I'm not going to lie: as much as I love the user interface and micro SD cards on the BlackBerry Passport and Nokia Lumia 1520, the iPhone 6s Plus takes the best videos of the three. If the Nokia Lumia 1520 didn't have such fudged up software problems with the camera, it would been much closer to the iPhone 6s Plus, but nope! Being only able to record 9ish minutes at a time, if the device isn't too hot, sucks. It's better than using the stock camera where it would stop saving the video without you even knowing. But even then, I've found that Lumia Camera Beta does the same thing too, if you leave the focus on before ending a video. Also when you tamper with some of the settings like EV, white balance and so forth, which defeats the purpose of being able to truly a enjoy a 20MP camera with Carl Zeiss lenses. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ As a photo-taker, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is a boss. Videos? Not so much, due to the problems mentioned. Video quality in daylight is very fine, which is why I even bother with it in the first place. I also like that you can view your photo and video's information, rename them and so forth. Something, the iPhone cannot do, unless you move it out of the camera roll.... ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ So stupid...

In terms of reliability, the BlackBerry Passport is on par with the iPhone 6s Plus. The only obvious downfault is its lack of 4k. Still, its quality is fair enough, but certainly no award winner. 4k aside, it's overall the most well-rounded camera of the three. Not only can you rename and look at file information in the camera roll like on Windows or Android, but you can also take photographs in 1:1, 4:3 and 16:9 without the use of 3rd party application. Something both Windows Phone and iOS can't boast. All in all, you can see that these three certainly have their great strengths, and weaknesses. Something tells me that Android can probably do everything those 3 operating systems can, but better... Am I wrong or right? ๐Ÿคจ Comment on that and let me know.๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ✍๐Ÿพ

The primary focus of this episode is video game music! ๐ŸŽฎ๐ŸŽถ I didn't play them too well, but an attempt is better than no attempt. ๐Ÿ˜…

My Dell Inspiron 2350 becomes such a volcano whenever it's exporting 4K videos! ๐Ÿฅต๐ŸŒ‹๐ŸŒ‹๐Ÿฅต I'm sure a lot of you with all-in-one computers or laptops can resonate with this. Those with tower-based computers can easily upgrade and fit fans inside. Not so for those of us with all-in-one computers or laptops. Well ok, maybe some of them have the space for them. For my case, I decided to just go with two external fans to keep the Dell cool, when it clocks those cores. Yes, I know, I know, you thought I bought those fans to keep myself cool, eh? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well, no, not really. The smaller fan with the foot, is honestly not very useful, and produces a rather noisy "vibrative" sound. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ For this reason, I thought heavily about returning the Opolar First Oscillating Mini Fan in exchange to get another 22.8cm Opolar fan, but decided to keep it largely as a decorative fan. I may consider getting a 27.9cm Comlife fan, but maybe only if the price returns back to $40 and not $84! Not a fan of that fan's price at all! ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ˜ณ

I always had the impression that this was a very large school from seeing it one the maps. The day comes to explore it, and I wasn't wrong. The real surprise was hearing people drumming in the parking lot that weekend. ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต Still have no idea why they were doing it, but it was an interesting thing to hear. ๐Ÿ˜† It's not often you randomly hear drums in a parking lot. Actually, it depends on where you live.

Really wished I charged my Nokia Lumia 1520 that day, before going out! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I would been able to cover Hermitage Park, which turned out to be much bigger than I thought. Oh well. Based on some comments from other videos, people do actually care about me covering the parks. Makes sense, because the parks are sometimes more interesting than the buildings themselves! ๐Ÿ˜† As for Lincoln, it wasn't terribly interesting, but not boring either. Covering its park properly, would have made the video better. Or not? ๐Ÿค”

I've seen parades before, but this would be my first time watching and filming. It was a good show! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽถ It's wasn't as sunny as I would have liked it to be, but the music and costumes were great. ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽจ I hope to film the Caribbean Celebration that takes place in Toronto next year. It's an annual thing, but wasn't able to go this year. I hear it can get pretty raucous. ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I don't know about you, but there's just something special about exploring a neighbourhood before it becomes a neighbourhood. It's just cool walking the roads before they're even paved, seeing all the building materials, the houses before they're layered and all. Because this neighbourhood runs from Dundas to Rossland, and is close to Highway 412, I don't imagine it to be a very quiet place. ๐Ÿ˜… At the same time, it'll be very convenient to those that need quick access to Highway 401 or 407.

"Will 'Commentary & Discussion With Walk Around Footage June 2019' ever see the day of light?" I honestly don't know, but it's likely that it may not. If it does, it'll obviously have to go by a different title.

"What's the deal with those letters and numbers next to the GuuzakaTube in your photographs?" Those would be the model numbers and regional variants of the smartphones I've used to take the pictures. This is something I started including since June 14, 2019.

Now with those questions out of the way, what can you expect? MORE LAKE VIDEOS!!!!!๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿคช๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿคช That's it ---------------------------- Kidding! ๐Ÿคก Uh, Asphalt 9, Casual Instrumental Noise Session #23, and some outdoor videos. Oh, and an unboxing or possibly two.

Really glad to finally have my iPhone 6s Plus back in the outdoor filming game. On the more unfortunate side of things, it looks like I may have to get my BlackBerry Passport's camera replaced. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Why? It "twitches" when it tries to focus. We'll see though...

June 12th Entry: Extremely Late May Uploads

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2019-06-12

June 13th Entry: Extremely Late May Uploads

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Wow! I just finished uploading the last of the May 2019 batch of uploads, yesterday! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Yikes! ๐Ÿ˜จ They were all supposed to be on the channel by May 29th at the absolute latest. What happened? Well, if you have read the May 31st entry, then you will know that it was because of Windows Movie Maker no longer wanting to export my 4K videos. Why? Well, I can naturally assume that it is because of the graphics. At least, until I noticed that the other editing programs were able to export 4K videos without this problem. ๐Ÿ˜’ Has Microsoft secretly programmed it to behave faulty after exporting a certain number of times? I don't know, but that would be a criminal offence if they did. Remember how it went down with Apple slowing down their iPhones? I believe Italy may have also found Samsung doing something similar and wanted to fine them. Let's just say that blatantly making on older product or service crappier, to force consumers to upgrade is straight up illegal. Alright, I'll talk more about my time with the new editor and such within the What's Next & Other Ramblings area of this blog post. Now finally, let's proceed to discussing the extremely late May videos. ๐Ÿ˜“

The  "Scotch Brite Value Pack Lint Roller 5 Pk - 400 Sheets" is the name of the specific one I bought. The one I was contemplating at first was the "Scotch-Brite Lint Roller, 50 Percent Stickier, 1 Roller with 70 Sheets, Refillable Lint Brush". Like many who would be skeptical of how much stickier it actually is, I just went with the 5 Pack 400 Sheets. Do I regret my purchase? No. It does a great job of removing hair and other particles off my clothes and other surfaces. Should I try the Stickier version? I don't know. If you have legitimately used both, and can strongly attest to the Stickier version being the superior of the two, let me know in the comments. Even better, if you have a YouTube video where you demonstrated it, you would not only be helping me, but thousands of others as well.

Anker time! ๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ”Œ⚡ Getting a second charger was long overdue. I had several older junkier chargers that just did not do a high performing job. I put them away, and decided to add a 300cm Anker Powerline to my purchase. With two high quality chargers, I can now finally charge both my BlackBerry Passport and Nokia Lumia 1520 with greater reliability. Oh, and transfer files smoother, too. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Because the connectors are so tight, they don't wiggle and cause a disconnection within the computer.

Because there has been two other episodes I've filmed after this one, I honestly do not even remember what was special about this one anymore. Well, I don't think there was anything "special" about it to begin with. Still would have helped if I were able to get the entry written sooner. ๐Ÿ˜’

Did you miss the rainbow cat? Well, you'll be pleased to see it again in this video! ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐ŸŒˆ I've updated the app to see what changes have been made. Aside from maybe power ups and possibly new worlds, not much else. And yes, this one was recorded internally with the iPhone 6s Plus' screen recorder, and not the Nokia Lumia 1520's Bugrosoft plagued camera applications. So what does this mean for you? ๐Ÿคจ No random cutoffs, and consistent 1080p@60FPS gameplay. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

After placing merchandise within the videos for several episodes, I have finally decided to make an episode without any. Because you know? It's good to switch things up sometimes. I'm sure many of you will also find the rocks in water much more refreshing to look at. ๐Ÿ˜…
Unfortunately, I did not take the usual regular pictures of this setting. By the time I had noticed I didn't, I could not be bothered with recreating the scene. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ณ

"How come the Oshawa pier has guard rails, but the Whitby pier doesn't?" If you have asked this question after watching the video, or even just looking at the thumbnail, guess what? You're not alone! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ Though they can obviously lock it in bad weather, I can tell you that this Whitby pier, unlike Oshawa, is still very easy to get into. No, I am not suggesting you do that, so don't go saying "GuuzakaTube" told me to go in there, should you get into complications. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyways! It was a beautiful place, and I enjoyed the view. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ™‚

In an area like this, one does not simply go home with just one video. Therefore, I did 3: 2 on the Nokia Lumia 1520, and one on the BlackBerry Passport. This park is located within the vicinity Sunrise Lake Park, only a little further east. Well, nothing more I can say other than to enjoy the gentle waves and 4k footage. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜„

"GuuzakaTube, aside from the resolutions between these videos, what's the big difference?" You might ask. Well, not a lot to be honest. This video has more action in it, because I throw lots of rocks during some parts of it. Not entirely though, as parts of it are also chill. So all in all, it is a half action, half chill video. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒŠ EDIT: I threw rocks in the Nokia Lumia's video, too.

Yeti machete! Except that it is obviously not a machete, because you know I'm only trying to rhyme. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyways! Now that I've actually been able to use this Yeti Rambler outdoors, I can tell you that the size and width of the mouth are very useful. Oh, and their sturdier handles. The latter is what made me ultimately choose it over Hydroflask. Despite that, I do plan to to get a Hydroflask bottle at some point. They too, are also really good and are cheaper than Yetis. Yes, many people complain about Yeti being overpriced, but guess what? You don't have to buy one. Seriously, complaining about their price tags obviously has not made them lower their price. They are a premium brand name outdoors company, so their price reflects that. Not that this should be a reason to make prices unnecessarily high, but it is what it is. Oh yes, and in case people were wondering why I bought two, that blue one was not actually mine. It was destined for a relative. ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ

Well, this title sums it up spot on: I buy 8, 9 actually, Lamborghini
Packs and do other things like play in Career, Time Limited Events, and so forth. Wanted to buy the Lamborghini Aventador J as well, but I did not have enough tokens for that cash grab car. And no, I still have not, and will never spend any real currency on this game. Screw
the pay-to-win system! ๐Ÿ˜‘ Food and bills are too expensive to be wasting money on cars that Gameloft will likely nerf in an update or two. And for the record, this would technically count as a criminal offence, since they are blatantly reducing the performance of things they expect people to pay money for, in effort to make them buy a newer offering(s). So Gameloft, wake up and realize that some of your money making schemes are crimes!!! ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
One of the Lamborghinis I was fortunate to unlock from the packs.

Since the weather has warmed up, more flowers and other plants are appearing on the properties, making them much more attractive to film. And slipping hazards, thick snow, rhinitis, and other botherations associated with colder weather naturally disappear, too. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well, rhinitis can occur in all seasons, but is by far most prevalent in winter. Anyways! What's up with Saint Worden? Well, it was vandalized the week before I filmed this video. When I learned that it was vandalized, it captured my interest, so I decided to film it. As I disclaimed within the video, I have nothing to do with the criminals that performed that horrible act. I also do not support any destruction or bad activities towards properties. ๐Ÿ˜ It is important to reiterate this, due to the many stupid keyboard warriors out there, that entertain the idea of spewing foolishness. The building itself, wasn't anything too special, but the park behind it is quite nice. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ☀

Despite the delay and issues that occurred when I had to edit the last 3 of the May 2019 uploads, much of the June 2019 videos have already been filmed. Windows Movie Maker: I have been using this program for the longest time ever, and have never bothered to learn any other video editing program. I would have dabbled with Vegas Pro, but the cost was a turn off. I felt it was not worth it when Windows Movie Maker could do what I needed it to do: edit videos with ease, simplicity and grace. I was not, and still do not have the need for extravagant editing. It's just not my style. Suddenly, late May 2019 comes, and Movie Maker decides that it no longer wants to export my 4K videos. ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคฌ It also begins to occasional turn black and forces me to restart the program. It was at that moment, were I felt like I was seriously screwed. ๐Ÿ’€ Is it the end? Is there any other program I should try? Should I shell out for something decent and not too expensive for the sake of exporting 4K? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I had to act fast. Well, I didn't have to, but I really did not want the gap between uploads intended to be released within the same batch to be so big.

Therefore, I started taking a look at numerous free and paid programs. Wondershare FilmoraDaVinci Resolve, Camtasia, ShotcutVideoPad Video Editor, Lightworks, and VSDC. Filmora was the first one I took a look at, but decided against it due to concerns surrounding spyware, and what they do at their servers. Probably not true, but couldn't be bothered to do enough research to confirm that issue. Next, I looked at DaVinci Resolve. I then decided to download it and give it a shot. The user interface was completely alien, but I still wanted to see if it could really export 4K videos. After poking around and looking up how to export, I then discovered that the free version has limited options for the frame rates. Not as much flexibility certain other editors have, so I decided to try something else. VideoPad Video Editor was a tempting option, especially considering its resemblance to Windows Movie Maker. However, when I read about how some people experienced great difficulties in removing it, and how it creates many registries within your computer's system, it turned me off from it. Time is ticking. ๐Ÿ•’ Who am I going to use next? I then looked briefly looked at VSDC, Lightworks, and Shotcut. Did not spend a ton of time examining VSDC and Lightworks, but decided to go watch a tutorial on Shotcut

Why Shotcut? Don't know. It just happened to appeal the most to me for some reason, so I went ahead and downloaded it. I did some test exports, and was pleased with the options and how the videos came out. And guess what? I CAN FINALLY EXPORT VIDEOS PRODUCED ON MY IPHONE 6S PLUS, WITHOUT THAT OBNOXIOUS SOUND DISTORTION!!! ✨๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒ  YIIIIIIIIIPEEEEEEEEE! HA HAAAAAAAAAA! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ Yes, I had to both capitalize and bold this statement, because it is truly incredible! As it turns out, the problem really did have to with Windows Movie Maker's inability to export the video's as mono MOV files. No so with Shotcut. You get options galore. Welcome back to outdoor videos, iPhone 6s Plus. ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒŠ☀ Speaking of that, this leads to the next thing I'd like to discuss: What's next?

5 outdoor videos, one of which was done on the iPhone 6s Plus, a commentary video voiced over outdoor footage, Asphalt 9, Casual Instrumental Noise Session Episode #22, and an unboxing video. ๐Ÿ˜ You are excited. Don't lie. ๐Ÿคฅ I can just feel your hidden excitement through your screens! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ So! How was the move from Shotcut to Windows Movie Maker? Honestly, it is a big step up. I still use Windows Movie Maker for the Call-to-Action slides, due to it's more granular controls over setting precise duration for images. Maybe there is a way to do it with ease in Shotcut, but I'm not sure how it's done. Despite what I said about Vegas Pro earlier, I still have it on my radar. I'll need a new computer to use it though. If Shotcut can easily eat up 7-9GB of my computer's 12GB of RAM, I can only imagine that Vegas Pro would annihilate my computer. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

December 4th Entry: The Novemberian Crowd

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2018-12-04

December 4th Entry: The Novemberian Crowd

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Who is this Novemberian crowd that I speak of? ๐Ÿคจ Come on, could it be any more obvious? It is none other than the 13 videos that were uploaded between November 29-30. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Yeah, I did not think that I was going to end up uploading that much videos either. I overfilmed and ended up with more than anticipated. ๐Ÿคช Alright, so let us dive into them now! ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŽ„

I have been here before. Exactly two years and 5 days ago, from the time it was filmed from the second visit. Confused? The first visit was originally filmed October 22, 2016. The second trip was filmed October 27, 2018. But of course, while I was filming the second time, I had no idea when exactly I did the first, until now. LOL. Has anything significant changed here since then? No. What is different is that I explored some forest trail at one of the parts. I also discovered another area that gave me access to the beautiful Lynde Creek. It was that same spot that led to my inspiration for the nature videos I filmed on the BlackBerry Q10, Nokia Lumia 1520 and iPhone 6s Plus. Read their headings below to learn more about them.

It's safe to say that it's been a good while since I've recorded a video entirely on the BlackBerry Q10. Ever since I acquired the Nokia Lumia 1520, the BlackBerry Q10 has largely just been a backup camera. And then when I acquired an iPhone 6s Plus earlier this year, it made the BlackBerry Q10 even more of a rarely used video camera. I have used the BlackBerry Q10 quite a bit for Instagram photos though. But even then, not nearly as much as I used to. The reasons for this are obvious: lack of optical image stabilization, no 4K video recording, and the tiny screen is just no fun to use. ☹ But nevertheless, I felt compelled to use it during my time in front of the Lynde Creek. How did it fare? Honestly, it is truly garbage in comparison to the glorious 4K of the Nokia Lumia 1520 and iPhone 6s Plus. The only area it did beat one of them, is in the audio department. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ More on that in the entry written for the iPhone 6s Plus. If you've already seen the pinned comment on the video, then you'll already know why. ๐Ÿ˜ถ I wonder how this video would look if it were filmed with a BlackBerry Passport?๐Ÿค”

I'm not going to bore you or waste your time with this one, so let's head straight to the burning question: are the Glider Gloves warm enough for a Canadian winter? Hell no! Well, unless your winters frequently stay above 8°C, then maybe. The only part of Canada where winters are that mild would be southern Vancouver island, and the southwestern coast of British Columbia. Even then, those areas rain a lot, and I don't think the Glider Gloves are waterproof. Also, let us not forget that even though most smartphones are water-resistant these days, not all of them are. Does this mean that the Glider Gloves are bad and useless? No, they're not, but do not use them extensively for temperatures below 5°C. I can tell you from experience that your hands will get uncomfortably cold in the fingers if you do. ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ

"⚠If you have watched the Lynde Creek version shot with the iPhone 6s Plus, you will notice that the audio is distorted. This is very likely because iPhone's produce MOV files in mono audio. With Windows Movie Maker, you are forced to export them as MP4 files in a stereo format, which I believe causes audio distortion. If you know what settings to use on Windows Movie Maker to prevent this from happening, please let me know. If Windows Movie Maker should not be used for MOV files, list any good, inexpensive movie editors available on Windows 10. The Nokia Lumia 1520 version of these videos came out fine.⚠"

That is the warning you will see in the descriptions of these videos. Thanks to these videos, it is now crystal clear that my videos I produced with the iPhone 6s Plus really did have audio distortion that was not present until when they were processed through Windows Movie Maker. ๐Ÿ˜’ Before, I thought that maybe it was just me, but nope! It is 100% proven now. It's rather unfortunate that it has to be like this, because aside from the audio, the videos are otherwise gorgeous. The solution for now? If you'd really rather watch the iPhone 6s Plus versions for whatever reason, you can watch the videos muted, or watch them without headphones with the volume turned low. Quite interesting that the humble, lowly BlackBerry Q10 is more compatible with Windows software than it is. One would think that Apple with its mass appeal products would make the phones capable of producing videos in MP4 and in stereo, but nope! Over the months spent with this smartphone, I can really see why so many Android users poke at Apple's iOS for being such a "prison of an OS"; because it really is. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Thank God I'm not the type of person that only "worships" one operating system! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ If the Razer Phone 2, Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium and Red Hydrogen weren't so expensive, I would have bought one of them by now. ๐Ÿ˜ข

With the exception of low light scenarios, the camera of the Nokia Lumia 1520 really doesn't disappoint. For a flagship that was released back in 2013, that is no longer being updated, the camera and performance remains stellar to this day. Now I know what you close observers are going to say, "Isn't this also the camera that you frequently complain about cutting off videos and not saving them?" Yes, you're right, it is. But do you know why it does that? Well, from asking around, I finally discovered that it was a glitch with the Microsoft camera app. Wow! ๐Ÿคฏ Surprising, eh? So what is the solution? Use another camera app! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I did not discover the problem and solution at the time of filming this. But thankfully, the app did decide to save the entire video. ๐Ÿ˜ช

I absolutely loved the way the photos and videos came out with the iPhone 6s Plus for this video. In fact, I loved them so much that I actually took one of the 3840 X 2160 photographs and made it my desktop background. ๐ŸŒž Even with the distorted audio problem, the sheer beauty of the moving clouds and colours are nothing to casually shake off.

"Why are people still using DSLR cameras?" That is the question I literally asked out loud as I was searching through my photos to upload this one. Seriously though. The flagships then were really good, and the flagships now are in a whole other league. Some smartphones can now even do 4K@60FPS! ๐Ÿคฉ Such devices did not come until later 2017, and a handful have arrived in 2018. The colours in this video do not look as vibrant and punchy as the iPhone 6s Plus, but they do also look more lifelike? Comment on that and let me know what you think.

Stylish, eh? No? Well, that would depend on who you ask. Canada Goose pom toques don't look extravagant by any means, nor do they need to. You know why? Because they do two things really well:

1. Cover your entire big head
2. Keep you warm in frigid temperatures.

While you can safely say that the price is too damn high for the Canada Goose Pom Toque, they're also actually worth it. How much do they cost? Depending on which "Season/Version" you're buying, Canada Goose Pom Toques can run you anywhere from $60 CAD to $150 CAD! ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ณ Buy hey, that's better than the $1000+ you spent on that iPhone XS Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 you're probably reading this blog post from! ๐Ÿ˜œ

I have had adequate time with these sunglasses, so I can safely say that they are really good. Better and clearer than a lot of the other "casual" sunglasses I've worn. Have I worn them while fishing, cycling or anything like that? No, because I'm not a sports person. But I have worn them on walks outdoors, and they offer excellent coverage while providing true-to-life clarity.

Yep, lots of outdoors and unboxings in this batch! So, what do I have to say about Valley Farm Public School? Interesting! Because this school is located on a farm down in the valley! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ…

Ok! We obviously know that none of that is true. It is just your average Pickeringian, suburban, regular ol' elementary school. While the school itself isn't terribly interesting, Major Oaks Park was pretty cool. Who am I kidding? I've visited that park numerous times in the summer, so I can say that I love it! ๐ŸŒž Especially that forested area. ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒณ

Such a lovely photograph, isn't it? Well, you'll see the full set tomorrow on my Instagram. While the photo is beautiful, the music produced within this episode is anything, but that! ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ’€ Well.....Well, that actually depends on who you are. Some might describe this episode as "eerily beautiful" while others would probably click away as soon as the harmonics drop. If you have not seen this wild-as-an-animal episode yet, then watch it! ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ‘พ๐ŸŽถ

For this heading, I'm not even going to bother with the obvious: I played Flappy Nyan in this video -- DUH! You can see that! Instead, I will focus on what you don't know. That is, the fact that the original video was supposed to be 18 minutes long (21 including the outro song)! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Yeah, really. So! What happened? Before I had the sense to ask a sensible community of experts for help, I resorted to my own shenanigans. I decided to hit the Microsoft home button whenever I wanted to terminate a video, to see if it would save all of it. This worked for a few test videos, but still cut off much of another test music video. ๐Ÿ™„ But despite that, I thought that it would have been a good idea to see what would happen with an 18 minute gaming video -- NOTHING! Like, literally nothing saved when I tried that.

๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿคฌ

So now you know why this video looks as though I had been recently playing it off camera; because I was. ๐Ÿ˜ Thankfully, the temperamental Microsoft camera decided to save everything entirely, the second time around when I pressed the normal button. So yeah, now you have the full scoop behind this video! ๐Ÿฑ๐ŸŒˆ

Ohhhhhh, boy! Flappy Adventure! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Unfortunately, this game is not as cool as the title would suggest. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is smooth, but it's not terribly interesting. It's also too difficult at level 5 or so, which hilariously caused me to rage quit! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ One thing I should mention is that this is my first video destined for YouTube, that was not filmed with my Nokia's Microsoft camera, but with an alternate application. Not a fan of the 4GB at a time limit, but it's INFINITELY better than the wild, unpredictable, horrible, stressful, messy, pooey Microsoft camera! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ LOL! Seriously though, if Microsoft wasn't in such a hurry to kill off its own children just to sleep in bed with Android and iOS, the apps would be so much better. ๐Ÿ˜

What's next? Christmas music, unboxings, likely gaming, commentary and possibly an outdoors video. So yeah, it's quite a bummer about the whole audio on iPhones thing. I'm also really glad to find a working 4K camera alternative for my Nokia Lumia 1520. It should be noted that until I can come up with a resolution for the audio thing, the Nokia Lumia 1520 will once again become my primary shooter. Well, let's be honest here shall we? I was already biased towards it anyways, so that may or may not come as a surprise. Perhaps you may have thought I preferred the iPhone 6s Plus for its applications and better software support. Yeah, you're right, I do love it for that. But I really do not like how "castrated" it is without applications. And if you don't own something like a Mac or another gadget with Apple software, you cannot "use it to its fullest potential". ๐Ÿ˜‘ Did you like this entry?
