Warning! Do Not Join Sovrn Commerce, Formerly VigLink!

Guuzaka                                                                                                          2019-12-11

Warning! Do Not Join Sovrn Commerce, Formerly VigLink!

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThis blog post may contain affiliate links. When you click and purchase something from within these links, I may earn a small percentage of that sale. ๐Ÿ’ฒ This is done at no extra expense to you. Guuzaka is not an official salesmen of these vendors. Therefore, any potential product problems and other technicalities must be dealt with through official staff of the online shop.

I, hereby certify that this entry does not contain any false, modified, or dubious information, excepting the removal of confidential information such as my e-mail address. Everything being posted here is 100% true and transparent.

With that out of the way, watch the video in case you have not seen it yet, or simply want a refresher. Finished watching? Time for the screenshots as proof that I am not making things up.

I have no idea how legible this will appear on your device, but you get the idea. What I want to emphasize for this entry is the last part. This did not appear in the video because by the time the response came, I already finished creating the warning.

"We cannot disclose specifics as to why as it is part of our policy to keep certain information private to prevent further suspicious activity from occurring."

If for some reason the video itself did not convince you to avoid them, this line certainly will. The fact that they only release payments every 90-120 days probably turned some off before even hearing about this. Shocked? Disgusted? Appalled? Surprised? Not surprised? Jaws dropped on the floor? I understand your emotions, as that response is truly 100% bull dung. Was I asking for the keys to their headquarters? No. Was I asking them for the system administration password? No. Was I asking them for the CEO's bank account details? No. I could go on with questions that would have been truly inappropriate to ask for, but you get my point. All I had asked for is a proper, transparent reason why my account was disabled, and why I could not even get the slightest bit of a chance to fix it.

If Sovrn Commerce cannot trust its creators enough to give them specifics, and a second chance without resorting to permanent bans, you should not trust this autocratic company either. Can you imagine what life would be like if this were the way things operated? Let us take a look at three short scenarios.

The Grocery Store

Narrator: People are shopping like usual at Alexander's grocery store. The next day, 20 minutes before opening, officers show up.

Officer: Sir, I am afraid this grocery store is going to have to be permanently shut down.

Alexander: What? Why?!

Officer: Too many shady people congregate around here.

Alexander: This would be the first time I am being notified of this! Please allow me and my team to improve security.

Officer- No, your store is closed and the decision is final.

The Musician & The Instructor

Narrator: Ava has spent a week working on a musical piece. The piece is now complete, and she is ready to show it to her Instructor.

Ava: The piece is finally complete! Let me know what you think of it! [Gives him the papers]

Instructor: Thank you, I will go over it, and tell you if it makes it or not.

Ava: Great!

Narrator: The next day.

Instructor: [Gives the papers back to Ava]

Ava: Huh?

Instructor: Your compositional style is not suitable for our performers. As such, you will not be allowed to write for us anymore.

Ava: What?! You haven't even told me what's wrong with it!

Instructor: It is no good. [Walks away]

The YouTuber

Narrator: Gideon has been working hard on a video discussing a variety of issues in today's society. Today is the day, where he is finally ready to post it!

Gideon: Boy oh boy! I wonder how this will be received! [Uploads video]

Narrator: 4 hours later. After doing other errands, Gideon decides to take a look at the stats of his video.

Gideon: Dang! 4 hours and 14,000 views?! This is craaaaaaaaazy!

Narrator: The next day. Gideon's video is demonetized. When he sees that his video is demonetized, he reports it as being wrongly demonetized.

YouTube: Certain subject matters are unsuitable for advertisers, especially when it involves, tragedy, sickness, guns, and so forth.

Gideon: What?! I never showcased graphics images of any of that! My video was done entirely from an educational standpoint! [Sends another response]

Narrator: YouTube does not respond, and leaves the video permanently demonetized.

What You Probably Think At This Point
  • "Wow, sorry you have been through all of this!" ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
  • "Yikes! I am definitely going to stay 10,000 kilometres away from this network!" ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  • "Thank you for publishing this. This has been very insightful" ๐Ÿค“
  • "I get what you are saying, but think this is overkill" ๐Ÿ˜
  • "Seriously man? Man up!" ๐Ÿ˜‘
  • "Oh my gosh! Get over it!" ๐Ÿ™„
  • "Damn son, you salty!" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  • "Must you be so over the top all the time?" ๐Ÿฅฑ
To those of you that appreciate this, thank you. To those of you on the negative side, let me make this clear: this post is not a "salty whine and moan" rant. It is very serious. I intended to have the screenshots in the video, but did not get around to that. With this blog post, not only do you get to see the screenshots as proof, but the additional response, plus further, deeper explanations, life examples, and more. Warning, exposure videos, blog posts, Tweets and what not, are absolutely nothing new.

The problem is that there are too many people that do exposed social media posts for the sake of views, and focus more on the sensational aspect of it, rather than accuracy and transparency. Those of you that are not new to my channel, or if you have at least seen the trailer, you will know that clickbaiting and lies are not part of my image. If you took the time to read all of this, thank you.

Amazon Associates Confession

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2019-09-09

Amazon Associates Confession

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links. Additional notice: The javascript is being wonky and automatically linking nearly mention of "Amazon" in this blog post. This is problematic because if I wanted to mention "Amazon" as in the rainforest, I would not want to send people to the online shopping site with the same name. Please excuse this until there is a fix. 2019-09-11 Update: It has been fixed.

Not even going to beat around the bush. I joined twice and failed. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅถ For those of you that do not know what I'm talking about, read this:

"If your affiliate links have not referred qualified sales after 180 days, your application and access to Associates Central will be withdrawn."

More specifically, Amazon requires you to make three qualified sales within 180 days, before they can review and officially accept you into their program. Otherwise, you just have to start over again. Yep, that means re-entering all the application details, banking information and so forth. It's not the most time consuming thing in the world, but still annoying. ๐Ÿ•’ The bigger issue is that if you've placed those links on say a blog post, a Tweet or something, the links posted under that Associate account become expired. ๐Ÿ’€ That's right. Expired. So if someone clicks and purchases something from your dead link, you get nothing. ๐Ÿ˜ถ You can of course remove the dead link and replace it with your newly applied account's links. BUT, what happens you have posted those links on many social media postings? It's not feasible to go way back and replace them, so you're often left to leave them alone. Replacing them on things like recently uploaded videos isn't too bad in comparison. You get the idea.

Today, September 09, 2019, I have decided to give it a go again for the third time, but with a different plan: I'm actually letting you know that I need your help to make those sales. Unlike the past where I'd just place them in the video descriptions or occasionally Tweets, Instagram, Tumblr or Blogger posts, and hope people would just click without knowing what's going on. Honesty is key. So! With this said, here are the locales of my Amazon Associate pages below.

Canada ๐Ÿ
United Kingdom ๐Ÿต
Spain ๐ŸŽธ
France ๐Ÿฅ–
Italy ๐ŸŽป
Japan ๐ŸŒธ

Questions
I know some of you will have questions, so I will answer the ones I already expect.

Question #1: Is it three sales per locale, or across all countries?
Answer: Three for each locale.

Question #2: Is there a particular locale that's a priority to you?
Answer: I would like to be accepted into all locales, but Canada, the United States and United Kingdom are the most important ones to me. The reason for this is because of the use and ease of them being English by default. Because I am Canadian, much of my YouTube audience is naturally Canadian. As for my Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, I'm not entire sure where the bulk of my audience is coming from. I suspect Canada and United States.

Question #3: Why Amazon? Don't you have VigLink?
Answer: The biggest issue with VigLink is that they only pay you every 90 days (or 60 days for those that opt for express), so long as you generate $10 USD or more. Also, even though they are an aggregate network, some key websites like Amazon and eBay do not affiliate through them. Amazon, as we know, is clearly a major online shopping giant. This is why it makes sense to get into their affiliate program, if you have YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, or other social media accounts. Having a diverse source of income is very important in today's age.

Question #4: Are there certain items that qualify? Like does it have to be expensive?
Answer: No, it doesn't have to be something extravagant like a KATARINA Diamond Tennis Line Bracelet in Gold. It can be something something as simple as a box of pencils. It just needs to be a legitimate purchase specifically through my links.

Question #5: If I live in Canada, but buy something from your Spain locale, would that count go towards Spain or Canada?
Answer: I honestly don't know. It's best you stick to the country you live in.

Question #6: Why those countries? Why are highly populous countries like China and Mexico missing from your affiliated locales?
Answer: This is something you would have to take up with Amazon. Canada United States of America United Kingdom Germany Spain France Italy Japan are all countries eligible for OneLink. This means that when you click on an Amazon hyperlink that uses the OneLink text, it should take you to the country where it detects you are from. The other countries do not affiliate or have this option.

Question #7: What if I don't like you, or any of your online acts?
Answer: Then you obviously do not have to help me get into any of the Amazon locales. It's best you leave in a civilized manner, and just stay away from me. It doesn't have to be anything difficult or dramatic. Remember, it's been said before and I'll say it again: GuuzakaTube is not a mass appeal brand. If you happen to like the content, great. If not, move along respectfully.

Question #8: What if I like you, but don't like Amazon or this whole affiliate marketing thing?
Answer: If you don't like Amazon, but do like online shopping, you can shop through my other affiliate links. If you're not into online shopping at all, then you can support my online works by leaving proper, good, or constructive comments. Not bottish, rude, scammy, spammy, self-advertising, snide, nasty, or defamatory ones.

Question #9: Are you sure your links are safe?
Answer: Yes, always make sure you sure from my official YouTube, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr pages.

Question #10: Why don't you just embrace Patreon or some other tipping platform?
Answer: Not for me.

Question #11: So why did you wait so long to confess this?
Answer: Because of pride. I did not want people to assume the wrong things, so I did not say anything. After failing two times with this, I realized that I had two options: #1 keep doing the same thing over again hoping for different results, only to get the same thing -- Insanity! #2 Just be honest and tell people what and why. The latter was the smarter way to go about this.

Improving My Affiliate Marketing Section

There are a few changes I've brought to the videos that were uploaded threes days ago. But there's a major one that I did not mention in the entry yesterday, and that's the "Merchandise/Affiliate marketing" section. Let me show you what all videos prior May 18, 2018 looked like in that area :

If I had to ask anyone to use emojis to describe that, they'd look like this: ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ. If I told them to describe it in words... oh boy... responses would be highly variable. So let's just state the obvious here: it looks very chaotic, tacky, spammy and desperate. Let's emphasize the latter two words one more time: Spammy and desperate. It's no wonder it's been such a bot magnet. ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’€ There's far too many links, that often don't have anything to do with the given videos, or only partially at times.

So this leads to a serious question you must be wondering: Why am I coming out with this? Why do you need to know this, when you never asked, noticed or cared in the first place? Well, whether you care about my content or not, there's a very important lesson to learn here, and that is affiliate marketing is supposed to be about useful, relevant content. If the video is about travelling, then the affiliate links should be about products that have to do with travelling such as passport holders or travel adapters for example. What on Earth would Victoria's Secret or Norton have to do with an outdoors trail?! While it may sound very hilarious to imagine a women running down a trail in Victoria's Secret attire while doing a computer virus scan, it's not considered relevant to serious shoppers and certainly not to search engines.

This month I've brought a few quality changes to the channel. The improved thumbnail graphics and channel banner are the things that are the most noticeable. With the affiliate area being buried in the description, it likely isn't something most care or bother with, but I felt that it was something that needed to be re-worked for future videos. It would be painstaking to go and fix up the section for the older ~345 videos. But with this post, you now know that videos uploaded from the date mentioned above won't look like that anymore. Using Walking On The Trans-Canada Trail And Then Elizabeth Street as example, here is a fine example of the improvement:

An outdoors video with links to products that would actually be useful to people who plan to spend some time outdoors. While some of you might see this entire post as an eye roll, and state that this should have been common sense, trust me, affiliate marketing is a fiercely competitive field, where it can seem like the "Department Style" approach would be a good way to stand out and try in rank in some sales, but it isn't. View this post as just me being transparent with things and the changes I've made for the better.

April 20th Entry: Lululemon Accessory Commentary ๐Ÿ‹

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2018-04-20

April 20th Entry: Lululemon Accessory Commentary ๐Ÿ‹

Allow me to make an honest confession before we proceed to commenting on some of LuLulemon's accessories: Up until some point in 2018 or maybe 2017, I wasn't aware that Lululemon actually sells more than just cult exercise ---- AHEM! Yoga clothes for women. ๐Ÿ˜ถ Seriously, that's all I thought of it until recently. ๐Ÿ˜… So! Today, I shall go take a look at 10 of their accessories for the sake of commentary and discussion: 5 for women and 5 for men. Now why am I discussing this in the 1st place? Because it's what I do sometimes. Oh, yes! I should also mention that they also have a thriving YouTube channel with 47,764 subscribers. So if you're really into this brand, you can check it out. Because it's my first time discovering it, I can't tell you what their videos are like. Now enough with the rambling and on with the accessories
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพAll images belong to Lululemon Athletica.

The Commission Hat looks horribly boring in the other colours, so this one is its best look in my opinion. Even then, it still looks underwhelming. I do prefer fitted hats, but they are no good for active workouts.

Now this is something that I'd actually wear! The Lightspeed Run Hat looks really cool in this colour, and you'd probably like it too. Despite being described as "Tiger camo" it looks more like stylized blue clouds to me.

The names of the colours for this headband are a little confusing, but whatever. Does it look good? I've honestly never exercised with headbands before, but I can say that this one looks alright. Perhaps the logo could be a little bigger?

These just look plain great! Love the colours, style, and overall looks of these shoes. The word "Phantom" has me thinking that it may have something to do with their capabilities of glowing in the dark? Not sure about this model, but from what I've seen the other one does. If chosen in green, that is.

A very nice-looking bottle this is. If you're going to plop $18.00 CAD on a 768ml water bottle from Lululemon, you might as well get the one that bears the logo loud and proud. Unless you really don't like big logos, then you may consider their other colours and patterns, but I certainly wouldn't. Now let's go look at some accessories for the ladies! ๐Ÿ‘‘

If you're the type of woman that likes your athletic caps breathable and simple, then you'll love this one.If it looks too bland for you (which it honestly does! ๐Ÿ˜œ), then consider the cap below.

Now this Baller Hat definitely has much more style, flavour and character than the other vanilla colour hats out there. And if you don't like this particular pattern, there are other nice patterns and colours for the Baller. Particularly, the Moroccan Blue.

Lululemon does a great job at offering a variety of stylish headbands for you ladies! The Spring Bloom Multi looks the best, but the Tonic Sea colour looks really nice too.

Glowing, running girls! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Creepy or cool? Well, they only light up in the dark, so you won't be glowing while you workout. Unless you workout in low-light, which probably isn't the safest thing to do. I know some people do run in the night, or at twilight or something, but eh. You could do stretches in the dark, but again, that's ➡๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆ‚๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ธ๐Ÿบ. Their green glow reminds me of the Reebok Kamikaze II Mid.

I was going to commentate on a water bottle, until I realized that the water bottles are the same for both men and women on the website. ๐Ÿคจ So instead, I decided to take a look at the bags for women, and tell you which one I think is one of the coolest for a woman to sport: duh! The one above! ๐Ÿคฃ The use of the blues and whites on this pouch just makes it look awesome. Kind of like stylized frost or even smoke, depending on how you see it. The City Adventurer Backpack is also worth a mention.

Wrap up
So this has been it for the ever-so-popular Lululemon! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‹ Hope you liked this post and found it useful. Which of the products I discussed did you like the most? The Least? I also hope you weren't reading it while high, since today is dumb 420 day after all. ๐Ÿ˜’➡๐Ÿคช๐Ÿšญ

That's It: First Brief Look

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  04-13-2018

That's It: First Brief Look

Boy, it's a cloudy, rainy day again in southern Ontario. During the earlier part of the day yesterday, there was a lot of loud thunderings in the sky. Not the case today. Anyways! For this entry, I'm here to take a look at a website called "That's it". I know, that's quite a generic name, and it's funny considering that it doesn't specialize in generic products at all. Quite the opposite actually. I'll take their official blurb from their About Us page and quote it below:

"That's it.® is a snack company dedicated to simple and easy ingredients made from real fruits, veggies, and dark chocolate.

We only use natural, non-GMO fruit and veggies sourced from organic-practicing farms. Our goal is to make eating healthy snacks easy and stress-free. No washing, cutting or peeling required. Plus, we don’t add any preservatives, colors, or try and trick you by adding sugars and renaming them high-fructose syrup. Our products have 5 or fewer ingredients that you can pronounce.

Whether you are headed to the gym or in between work meetings we have a snack for you that you can feel good about.

That's it.® products are non-GMO, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free. We are Paleo certified and Whole30 compliant."

So know you may have a better understanding of why they call themselves That's it: because when you read their simple ingredients, you'll probably be like, "Wow, that's it?" So the name is pretty clever if you ask me. It's refreshing to see a health and diet website that does revolve around all those junky powders, chemical-filled bars and "magical" weight less pills. Those types of products will never be discussed or looked at on my blog. I'm not into pill this, pill that, at all. Now time to take a look at 5 of their products and then comment on them. Oh, before I do that, let me be honest with you by telling you three things:

1. I have not used, or in this case, eaten any of their products up to this date

2. This post is not sponsored. Probably very obvious, as nothing has been sponsored on this blog to date, just in case you may have been under that impression when you see the "Contains affiliate links" at the bottom of each blog post that has been monetized with such links.

3. All images belong to That's it.® and are being used fairly for the purpose of discussion and commentary.

Apples, apricots and dark unsweentened chocolate? ๐Ÿ˜› Yes! I don't know about you, but apricots taste great in jam, great on their own, so I can just imagine how good they'd taste with apples and chocolate. At 52g, it does look like these packages are probably quite small. As disclosed above, I've never ordered them before, so I might dead wrong on that. They could be larger than what 52 grams may seem.

Between the Apple+Cherry versus the Apple+Strawberry combination, I just had to pick this one for my list. Why? Well, duh! It's because it sounds much tastier to me! ๐Ÿ˜† Strawberries are sweet and all, but cherries are even punchier.

So as you can see on the package itself, this is one of their Zest offerings, for self-explanatory reasons. Why eat a zesty bar? Because it can spice up your mood a little, and wake up your taste buds. "No duh! Everybody knows that, GuuzakaTube" And if you literally just said that after reading that sentence, then LOL! ๐Ÿคฃ This combination sounds really good, without being over the top with zestiness. Can you imagine if they used cayenne pepper alongside the ginger?  ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ”ฅ Yeah, I think my use of emojis there sums it up.

Have you noticed something yet? ๐ŸŽ Every product they have, save for the not-so-tasting-looking-vegetable bars, all have apple combined with something else. For those that don't know, it's probably to keep costs down. If this entire 35g package were to be made entirely of organic mangoes, it would probably cause it to cost a lot more, as opposed to mixing it partially with a cheaper fruit like an red iPhone 8 plus apple. A lot of companies do this, so That's It certainly isn't the only one that does this. In fact, almost every company does this. That said, pure offering of course exist, but as such, they command a higher price. Detail diving aside, apples and mangoes sound wonderfully good together. They taste great on their own, so why not mash them together and see how you like it?

Another Cherries+Apple recommendation? Why not? Surely, there are other products, but because I'm writing this, I'm only focusing on the things that would interest me, and potentially you, the most. Now unlike the other products I mentioned earlier, this one obviously does not have chocolate in it. So if, for whatever, you don't like dark unsweetned chocolate, then you'll naturally choose something like this over the chocolate-laden version.

Wrap up
So! This has been it for my entry on this healthy snacks website. It does not look like these guys have a YouTube channel, so I couldn't make any notes on that. If you found this entry helpful or have tried any of these products before, comment below and let me know. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ
