October 25th Entry: Halton Highlights

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-10-23

October 25th Entry: Halton Highlights

Remember that region that I was talking about from last time? The place I've never filmed a video in yet? It's called the Regional Municipality of Halton. It can be rather nerdy and weird to say the full name frequently, so you can thankfully just call it Halton Region, similarly to Durham Region. You already knew that, so I wasted your time just by typing these sentences! ๐Ÿคฃ Anyways! Halton is not the only place where I've filmed videos for this upload batch, so keep reading to learn more about my trips for the latest videos on the channel.

Do you remember Diagnosing The Racketing Sound Outdoors in Whitby & Oshawa? Yes, you likely do, because a few of you enjoyed both the Instagram picture linking to it,  and the direct video on the channel itself. In that video, it served two purposes: #1 Figure out which part of the phone was making that sound. #2 Find the coast along Thickson Road South. The latter wasn't accomplished, which resulted in me trekking through some winding trail that lead me out to some coastlines that bordered Whitby and Oshawa. ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜… Yeah, you can definitely say that event was both crazy and fun. After discovering that I seemingly couldn't find the coast from Waterfront Trail Open Space, I decided to wander down Thickson Road South towards Crystal Beach Boulevard. There, I asked a gentleman walking his dog how to find the coasts around here. After the conversation was finished, I learned that you had to access it from Brock Street South. Next weekend, I determinedly went there and found it! The beautiful Whitby coastlines along Whitby Lions Promenade and Rotary Sunrise Lake Parks. So nice! ๐ŸŒŠ It was so fun to capture all that scenery and explore these places that I've never been to before. And not to mention, this video was also free from that annoying galloping sound! YESSSSSSSSSSS! ๐Ÿ˜Ž However, it wasn't all fun and roses... After the 11:17 mark in the video, you can hear me making lots of complaints about how the original 2nd segment failed to save. This is why you randomly see me at the table in that area, when you originally would have been able to watch me walk there, see a playground, some building, a wedding and more! Yeah, now you know why I was complaining so much after that took place. ๐Ÿ˜– You probably couldn't hear my words too clearly because of the dominating waves, but if you came here to read and learn more about my videos like how I tell you to do in the call-to-action, you now know what that was about. All in all, despite the lost segment, it was still fun. What wasn't saved, was still seen with my eyes, and remains in my memory, which allowed me write about it here. ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒŠ

What's this?! Another video on my channel that's far less than 10 minutes long?! WOW! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ What a rarity to find on GuuzakaTube! Well, I'm sure y'all know well by now that most of these video aren't naturally 10 minutes long, rather it's the outros and ending clips that extend them to this duration. For a video that was only a raw 30 seconds, I felt that it would have been to silly to do that with it, and the other more recent one before it, so I did not do that. As for the video itself, I decided to do this simply because I felt like doing another video in Whitby, during that same day I went to Whitby Lions Promenade. It would have been so cool to catch this thing in 4K, but it's too bad that all that 4K footage ate up the Lumia's storage like mad. Thankfully, because I wasn't walking, the BlackBerry Q10 didn't actually do a bad job at filming it.

Ok, so the title of this blog is "Halton Highlights", but yet I'm only beginning to talk about a place from Halton now? What gives? Because the Whitbian places were filmed a day before the Miltonian places. That's why. So! Let's discuss them! I can see that Boyne and Jean Vanier have already gathered a very small amount of views, which means that they might end up being one of those school videos on my channel that will perform well. I can only imagine this to get even better once I post the links to them on social media, but anyways! We're not here to discuss views, but the adventure itself. How was it? Well, aside from having to walk around the high school twice, with a Lumia in one hand and a BlackBerry in the other out of fear for another loss, the exploration was great. Because Halton is a place I've never filmed in before, it made the adventures feel so much fresher. That's not to say the places I film in Toronto and Durham Region are stale, but because most of my videos happen to come from those two regions, a lot of the places are familiar to me. Still, there are many places I haven't been to in those regions, so there remains lots to be captured! If you're familiar with Jean Vanier's surroundings, you'll know that there's a shopping plaza across from it and another school further up the street: Boyne Public School!

Boing Public School. I know. That's not the name, but it sure does sound like it! ๐Ÿค“ Boyne is the 2nd place that I've filmed in Milton, after finishing Jean Vanier. How does it compare? Which of the two were more interesting? Well, Boyne had that unfinished neighbourhood really close to it that was super cool to do, which I'll talk about after this entry. But then Jean Vanier has a shopping plaza in front of it, as well as a sports building close it. Not sure who's better, but then again, comparing a high school to an elementary school is like comparing Gala Apples to Granny Smith? Similar, but will have a different flavour. Wait, what? What kind of comparison was that?! Alright, let's just go ahead and talk about the unfinished neighbourhood now, since I clearly don't have much to say about Boyne aside from poking fun at the name and how new it looked. ๐Ÿ˜…

This video was totally unplanned. Before I went to Milton that weekend, I had initially only planned to just do two things: film two places and celebrate Thanksgiving. It wasn't until when I was finished filming Boyne, and started going around to take the pictures for it, when I discovered this place. I tell you, sometimes there are things I never notice until when I go around for 2nd time to take pictures. Correction, oftentimes actually. So what is the purpose of this place? Well if you aren't familiar with Milton's growth situation already, this town in the fastest growing place in Canada. As a result, a lot of homes and schools have been springing up to accommodate the growth. No, for the elementary schools, they're facing a lot of overcrowding issues because they're not building them to be large enough, or maybe there's simply not enough elementary schools for the neighbourhoods of Milton. As I've also learned recently, Farmstead Drive is proposed to run from Britannia Road to Louis Saint Laurent Avenue, and that this neighbourhood is apart of the development for the Boyne area. Not sure if that's really the proper name for the neighbourhood or not, but it's within the "square" of Bronte, Saint Louis Laurent, Britannia and Regional Road #25. Now enough of that, and let's discuss the video itself. We can see a few other people wandering around in this place, likely here to do the same thing as I: check out the place. But of course, I was the only one filming and dual photographing (two phones snapping at once!๐Ÿ˜œ) after I was done with the video. Issues about the sound and whether the resolution was high enough or not, were already addressed in the video, so I'm not going to bore anyone about that. While it was a bummer scrapping the original audio, it was admittedly fun creating those songs.  Kind of random, but a lot of these schools, especially in Durham are "JK–8 public schools" but I often refer to them as "elementary schools" because in Clarington, Toronto and several others, that's usually what they call schools for younger students. Is that really correct though? Or should I start calling them what they really are? ๐Ÿค” Growing up, I've been familiar with the grades JK-6 for elementary schools, 7-8 for middles schools, and 9-12 for high schools. Some regions and schools clearly blur the lines between the grades.

And now for a gaming video. This Subway Surfers recording makes it the 3rd gameplay video of this game on my channel. Watch the 1st here, and the 2nd here, if you feel like it. Unlike the 2nd video, where the filming angle caused it to only be viewable from smartphones, you can watch this one from all devices comfortably. The only issue I have with this particular video are the colours; they don't look too good... It just looks weird... I suspect it was the use of HDR mode under poor room lighting, so I plan to do another recording in future with bright sunlight and no HDR. Ideally, it would have been great if the Windows Phone operating system had screen recording applications, but nope! It's the only major smartphone operating system without a single screen recording application, while all the others have several. Recording and colour complaints aside, I really should take the time to discuss this wild Mexican Halloween track! While I dislike Halloween because I think it's lame, I can admit that this track's vibrant theme and occasional creepy Mexican music, makes it a lot of fun to run on. And yeah, considering that the guard is replaced with Frankenstein and a skeleton dog, you're definitely going to want to run alright! ๐Ÿ˜จ

Enjoyed the entries for these places? I hope so. So what's next? Well, if you read the Subway Surfers part, you already know that I will do a recording of it soon. So, 2 gaming videos, a gaming/commentary video, and a nighttime outdoors video. Exciting? Not exciting? That depends on what you like. Now do you ever take the time to read the description in a video? It's safe to say that it seems like 98% of people do not! ๐Ÿ˜ฐ Can you count how many times you've seen people asking questions that were addressed in the description? Neither can I. ๐Ÿคฃ In my video descriptions, you find the following things: the video description of course, a link to this blog, My official Twitter account, my official Instagram account, my official Tumblr account, and my official Photobucket and DeviantArt accounts. Gee, I sure did use the word official a lot, but you know what? It's important to emphasize my authenticity here. Not that anybody's impersonating me at the moment, which would be just plain stupid, considering that my profiles are extremely low-traffic and would make them look beyond desperate and sickly. Not that targeting high-profile people is any better, but we all know what I'm getting at. "๐ŸŽฅ Originally filmed/recorded on XXX" has also been in my description for some time, but as of the 23rd this month, I've now included a "๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ“ฑfilmed on a XXX" and "๐ŸŽฎ Played on a  XXX" to my video description formats. Why am I mentioning this? So you can know what lives in my video descriptions and be more motivated to read. ๐Ÿ˜

ProShot and ProShot Classic

I shoot tons of videos and photos, so it was only a matter of time before I finally decided to give this highly rated application a shot. I purchased Proshot Classic for Windows Phone yesterday, but have not tested it outdoors yet. Instead, I've taken some indoor photos with some of the filters and effects. So far, I'm quite liking it. The problem? There's no video recording option, despite that clearly being listed on the site under all three of the sections for Android, iOS and Windows Phone! ๐Ÿ˜ฐ You would naturally think they're the ones at fault right? Turns out, I was the one at fault for clearly not reading! Proshot and ProShot Classic are two very similar, but different applications! Luckily, the developer has a Twitter and Instagram page, so I decided to message him on Twitter to see if he would respond. Guess what? He responded within 1 hour. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I was honestly thinking that he probably wouldn't respond until a day, two, or never later, but surely I was wrong! He explained to me that when ProShot Classic was under development, Microsoft did not allow third party apps to record video, so the feature wasn't included. ProShot for Windows 10 does include this feature however. So I followed the link, received Proshot on my desktop, and then was able to get it on my Nokia Lumia 1520. Sweet! I opened it up to see if the feature was there, and surely it was! However, while the video recording option is there, the 4K option and OIS are both greyed out. I'm thinking it's one of two things: #1 pay to unlock more features. But then again, considering that the application already initially costs money, why would you have to pay more money to unlock features? Surely, that would turn people off and cause it to have more negative reviews. #2 Maybe it's only available on newer Windows Phones like the Lumia 950 and HP Elite X3. Once again, I do not think this would make any sense, considering that the Lumia 1520 has the hardware and processor capabilities for recording in 4K with OIS. Ok, I'm honestly not too sure about the 4K and OIS together, but I know for sure that it has OIS on 1080p and lower guaranteed. I will look into the application further, and maybe send the developer another message about this. Video recording issues aside, I can tell you that I plan to field test this application in the future, so look out for them on my Instagram page and this blog.

October 18th Entry: Western Brooklin Schools

2017-10-17                                                                                                   GuuzakaTube

October 18th Entry: Western Brooklin Schools

Today's entry is about the schools I've filmed west of Baldwin Street in Brooklin, back in September. I'll also be discussing two dealership visits and that "strange" thing I've mentioned in the last entry. It's now time to dive below and learn about my experience with these places!๐ŸŒŠ⬇

During the weekend when I went to visit these places, which was September 23-24, it was very hot. Like about 32°C I believe. ๐Ÿœ☀ Yeah, you can just imagine how much water I lost from walking up and down the streets of Brooklin to film and photograph these places, but it was still good fun. While Meadowcrest itself was an average place to explore, it does happen to be very close to the Whitby Public Library - Brooklin Branch  and lot of other places east of it, due to it's proximity to downtown Brooklin. Probably would have been a good idea to capture some of these other places while I was walking to Meadowcrest, but I didn't start the camera until when I was almost at Montgomery Avenue & Vipond Road, where the billboard was. I know. How lame and boring of me to not capture Brooklin's small town scenery, but at least you can enjoy another thing that was close to this school - Renaissance Baptist Church! Read below if you're interested.

Did you know that I almost forgot to film this place? Nope, you wouldn't know until you read this entry! ๐Ÿ˜ The reason being is that I was too focused on walking to Saint Bridget. This place did not cross my mind until when I saw it, and remembered that it was on the list of places to explore that day. Now, as you can see from the video, or if you know the place already, it's a small building. So as a result, there wasn't a ton to film or photograph. Therefore, I can safely say that it's a boring place to walk around. ๐Ÿ˜ Mind you though, this is a place of worship, so the inside and the messages that they speak, would be the real areas of critique if I were to truly assess this place. Then again, I could say the same thing about the schools for their interiors and quality of teaching, so you know what? I'm sorry, there has been more interesting churches to walk around. But again, just because a place is boring to walk around, that does not actually make it a bad place itself.

So after travelling west on Vipond Road, north up Darius Harns Drive, I found Saint Bridget Catholic School. And yeah, I know this has nothing to do with the adventure itself, but it's really quite a bummer about removing the original audio. Oh well. Not going to ramble about that. Instead, let's talk about Brooklin's nice houses. No? Ok, let's talk about Saint Bridget. Saint Bridget is a Carnwith Park school located west of the park, while her secular counterpart, Chris Hadfield, sits east of it. So what's Saint Bridget like? Average I guess. I know, I've been saying that a lot for many of these schools lately, but it's just the truth. Many of them just haven't been as interesting as some of the other schools I've done in the past. That's not to say that they suck, though I've admitted that some of them were straight up boring to walk around, they're just not as fun. Well, Saint Bridget does have a nice front entrance and Carnwith Park, so that's a plus. Now, why did the camera's frame rates slow down significantly in the later part of the video? Well, I suspected that it's either the heat from filming in 4K for over 10 minutes, or the file size after that limit? I don't know. Wait, Windows Phone 10 doesn't have a limit on 4K video recording, so long as there's space? Don't quote me on that one because I'm not sure how true that is. I know that on my BlackBerry Q10, which obviously doesn't have 4K, I can only record 1080p for about 35 minutes before it fails. So I'm wondering if other phones have that 4GB file size limit too?  I think it has do with things like whether the smartphone's native system is NFTS, FAT32, 32-bit, 64-bit and other technical things like that.

So now that I am finished discussing his Roman Catholic sister, it's time to talk about Chris himself! How was he? Well, first thing's first, I wasn't pleased about resorting to using my shakes-like-an-earthquake BlackBerry Q10 camera to film this place. You'll know the reasons if you've watched the video, so I won't bore you about them here. Actually, you probably don't even need to watch the video to figure out why, but it would be nice for you to do so anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚ Watch it! ๐Ÿ˜ Now, Carnwith Park isn't a terribly interesting park, nor is Chris Hadfield the most interesting place, but those hills and some of the parts around the building weren't too bad. What's kind of odd is how you don't see the name written anywhere on the building. Or was it there and I missed? ๐Ÿ˜ณ If I actually showed myself recording that, and go on talk about how it didn't have it, this once again shows how - ok, I won't go there. ๐Ÿ˜… So why did I give this school such a synthy, "girly" intro and outro again?

Subaru SUUUBAROOOOOOOOOO! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿค— Yeah, I know. Those are the very words I wrote for the description of this video. Don't believe me? Click on the link in the title above to see for yourself. Oh yeah, and watch the video while you're at it, in case you haven't already. Interestingly, despite Subaru being a common, mass produced, everyday-ride type of brand, you don't see very many Subaru dealers around. Why? I don't know. Either they don't sell as much as their other Japanese counterparts, or maybe they just prefer to focus on fewer dealerships to concentrate in other areas? Who knows. Now for this dealership, I was honestly under the impression that it would be small to medium-sized, but behold! I ended up filming these things for over 10 minutes, and was able to get a lot of photos of various cars, due to it's unexpectedly large inventory. Excellent! I like it when these dealerships have lots of cars. It just makes it so much more interesting. And of course, it allows for more comedic edits. ๐ŸŽญ๐ŸŽ  So now that I got to see a bunch of these Subarus up close and in-person, I can say that some of them look really grumpy and ugly, while most of them just look average. Better than Toyotas, but nothing stellar. And it's that time where I tell you which model I'd like to see most electrified from a particular brand: the Subaru Outback. What are the odds we'll see an all-electric Subaru? I don't know. Subaru is one of those brands I don't have great interest in, so I actually had to quickly research "Electric Subaru" to learn about what Subaru will do in the electric game. Thankfully, it looks like they have plans to launch all-electric cars by 2020-2021, which is honestly kind of far, considering that's it's 2017 right now. Well, I guess 3 years isn't crazy far, but not that close either. It's just great to see that this medium-sized company plans to put out electric vehicles so soon, while others like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles don't. There may be some other slackers out there, but it's just that Fiat Chrysler is so easy to poke jabs at! ๐Ÿค—

At last! That "weird" figure I've vaguely mentioned from the last entry! Here it is! A random little house made of cement, located somewhere on Dundas Street West. Darn it! I should've taken better note of my surroundings so I could give you a better idea of where it is. For now, I guess I can just say that I discovered while I was heading from the Subaru dealership, and going eastbound. I also recall taking a few pictures of Around The World Designers Fashion Boutique, so it's likely close to that shop. Does it have something to do with it, or is it possibly even something historical? I don't know, but since the raw footage of it was only 28 seconds, there's not much more I can really say. If you do plan to check it out, be respectful towards it. I know that should be common sense, but given it's random, "out of the way" location, you never know. Then again, with all the cars (and occasional cops) that pass by, it should be fine.

No beating around the bush, there's something I need to tell you: this Toyota dealership is not a place to casually visit. It has some scary warning and stop signs on the property to remind you of this. One of which could have potentially set off an alarm! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ☠☠๐Ÿ˜ฑ So there, that's why the video was unusually short. Did I know about this? Nope! I only discovered it after briefly filming the place, before leaving to avoid potential triggers. Seriously, out of all the dealerships I've filmed to date, I have never seen anything like that! I'm sure there are dozens of places like that, but this would be my first time actually seeing it. So because I've already discussed Toyota, what I think of the brand, which car I'd like to see electrified from them and such from September 29th Entry: The Upload Chaos, let's take the time to examine why a dealership that sells such average Joe, massed produced Toyotas, has such serious measures in place: Crime. Well, of course! Why else? Given it's awkward location on Dundas Street, there's nothing immediately right next to it, except grass, empty lots, and trees. Actually, there are some residential streets neighboring it to the east, and then there's the White Oaks apartment complex a little further, so hmmmm... Perhaps people in the past would often try to break into the cars, vandalize them, and only God knows what else. During the nighttime in a location like that, you can just imagine how people would have gotten creative to snag a Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, Prius, Corolla or whatever they may have been after. Now there's no guarantee that this actually happened, as this is only my speculation, but it's safe to assume that possible past crimes, and the semi-bushy location likely drove them to put these measures in place.

Did you know? That on the same day where I covered the schools east of Baldwin Street, that I had also intended to do Brooklin High School? Yes, that's right! If you've seen the Chris Hadfield Public School video, you'll know that I was "forced" to film it in 1080p with the BlackBerry Q10, whose camera shakes like earthquake. I had honestly wanted to do Chris Hadfield in 4K, but resorted to just using the Q10, because it was really close to Saint Bridget, and didn't want to pass up the opportunity, all because the Lumia 1520 ran out of storage at that time. Because Brooklin High School was a little further, I decided to scrap the idea. Not only have I already filmed it in the past, but I also didn't have much water left. ๐Ÿ˜ Yeah, and it was about 32°C too, so that wouldn't have went well. Will I return to Brooklin to do Chris and the High School in 4K? No. Why should I? Are they really that special? ๐Ÿ˜œ Certainly not! Anyways, so what's next? Two videos that take place in Whitby, 3 videos in a region I've never filmed videos before, and a gaming video. Wait, didn't I say that games and commentaries were off the pipeline for October in the

October 11th Entry? Why, yes I did, until when an update came for a particular game that I really wanted to film! Stay tuned to find out!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฎ

October 11th Entry: Lexus, Volvo and Land Rover

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                   2017-10-10

October 11th Entry: Lexus, Volvo and Land Rover

Ok, it's time to discuss the three mainstream luxury brands you see in the title for this entry, as well as that other outdoor video. Let's dive into it!๐ŸŒŠ⬇

Ah, Toyota's luxury division. Some people might criticize Lexus vehicles as just being dressed up Toyotas, which is true from a mechanical point of view, but have you seen a bunch of fresh Lexuses in-person? They are sharp, mean, sporty-looking and have that confident luxurious vibe on their front fascias. They do not look like your run-of-the-mill Toyotas, but thankfully, most people know that. I haven't compared the interiors between the two brands, but it's safe to assume that Lexus obviously has the upper hand there. So now let's discuss my experience here: great! The dealership originally opened back in December 2016, but I don't film these types of videos during cold weather because it's a pain to do so. So! I waited till next year to come back to Achilles Road and explore the newer openings. Being new and all, it had a very fresh appearance, and was very neat and presentable. It's not an overly huge place, but there were enough Lexuses present to film and photograph a decent amount of content. Oh yeah, and that train track though... wasn't aware that the back of the dealers in this area were so close to a train track, but it's clearly there on the map, so that shouldn't have been a surprise. So Toyota, what's the likelihood of getting an all-electric, full-sized pickup truck? I predict less than 1%, but ya never know! ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿš—⚡ An all-electric Lexus LX 570 would be interesting too. Another thing to note is the presence of Endras Infiniti right next to it. All the newer dealerships in this area are "of Lakeridge" but the older ones Endras. Does anybody know why? I assume it very likely has to do with who owns them.

Volvo. Volvo is one of those brands that I don't have a ton of interest in, but I can say that they're very sophisticated-looking cars. Aside from knowing that they're Swedish, I'm not familiar with the names at all. I don't even know who truly owns them - looking it up brings results of Geely, Volvo Personvagnar Holding AB and Volvo Car AB? So half of the company is owned by Chinese Geely while they own the other half? Who knows. Maybe you do, but I don't. Now because this dealership was really small, there wasn't a ton to film and photograph, but I still managed to produce some content. In fact, it may very well be the smallest dealership on Achilles Road, because even the nearby Land Rover seemed larger than it. Small or not, the place is new, open and ready to serve you apparently. Now normally when I discuss which vehicle I'd like to see electrified from a particular car brand, it's normally a wishful dream, but apparently, Volvo is actually taking the electrification of it's cars seriously. So an all-electric Volvo XC90 probably won't take 10 years to wait for. While I also looked up clarification of the name, I also discovered that Polestar is the official Volvo Cars performance company and brand. Did you know that? Because I certainly didn't until now. Pretty neat. Oh yes! Let's also not forget that Volvo is often viewed as the safety brand, but how true is it? Tesla vehicles and certain others have proven to do amazing in car crashes, but do modern Volvos still hold up to that? A quick searching tells me that they apparently still do well in crashes. How well compared to others? Not sure, but I hear they do pretty darn well.

Land Rover and Jaguar! Even though it wasn't the biggest dealership around, it was the one that I was most excited to see that day, when I went to explore Lexus and Volvo. Why? Hello?! They're British luxury cars! Sure, they're no Rolls-Royce, Bentley, McLaren, or Aston Martin, but do you see how good they look? They look so feisty, confident, luxurious and ready for adventure! Unfortunately, they're also said to have very poor reliability, which is rather embarrassing for a brand that touts itself in being so classy and capable. By the way, I was talking about the Land Rovers right there, but I believe Jaguars were also said to have poor reliability as well. I do not know how true this is for 2018 Jaguars and Land Rovers, because some are saying that they've become much better, while others insist that they remain miserable and expensive to repair. The verdict? Do your own research! Now let's discuss my experience here: excellent! Though I would have much appreciated if it weren't so cloudy that morning, but whatever. I got to check out luxury British cars, so I won't complain too much. With this place also being very recently built, it also had that fresh, tidy appearance similar to that of Lexus of Lakeridge and Volvo Cars Lakeridge. "of Achilles" would have made much more sense for the title given that its on Achilles road, but they chose Lakeridge because? Who knows. Even "of Salem" would have made much more sense, but who cares. Despite what I'm saying about these names, I don't actually have a problem with the "of Lakeridge" in the name, but just find it a little odd considering that Lakeridge Road is further from it, while Salem road is connected to Achilles. Anyways! Enough of that and let's discuss the models I want to see fully electrified: Land Rover Range Rover L and the Jaguar F-pace - Wait! Jaguar already has plans to release an electric SUV: the Jaguar I-Pace! And in 2018 too, and not 2028, so we'll see it "soon"! I would have preferred to see a larger all-electric SUV from them, but the I-Pace is looking sharp, so I won't give them too much flak for it. Great work, Tata Motors. Makes you wonder why Toyota hasn't had an all-electric vehicle available in Canada by now, considering how big they are on the global scale, when groups like Tata Motors aren't as big. Fiat Chrysler? Oh dear... Give it 2050 for them! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿคฃ

In all honesty, I wasn't entirely sure what to name this video, because truth be told: less than two minutes of this 22-minute video involves examining the smartphone for a possible cause of the racketing sound. The rest of it is an adventure to find the coastlines off from Thickson Road South. So truthfully, it's a mix of a diagnosis, experiment and adventure, but largely an adventure.
Though it was obvious that it was the kickstand making that horribly annoying sound, why didn't I ever consider closing it, as soon as I heard it? Because I couldn't... That's right; it's impossible to hear the sound until when the video has been recorded and played back from a device. The reason behind this is because my ears are very away from it, so it comes off as being very subtle to non-existent. The Nokia Lumia 1520's four microphones literally sit only 6cm away from it! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Four microphones and only 6cm apart... no wonder the sound becomes so exaggerated upon playback! So because the issue was taken care of in the beginning of this video, the video is freed from the racketing issue. From here on, regardless of which smartphone it may be, I must be very wearing of parts with excessive motion when operating the video camera on a smartphone. It doesn't matter whether it's a kickstand, chain, rubber, anything! This galloping horse sound is too unpleasant to put up with. Out of the 11 videos I have "in the queue" that need to be edited, I'd rather not think about how many of them have been potentially plagued with this problem. The solution of removing the audio and overdubbing it is dirt simple, but can be very disappointing to lose the original audio sometimes. Alright, that's enough rambling about this, so I'll now proceed to typing the What's Next & Other Ramblings section. Aren't these photographs so fabulous?! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜œ

So what's next? Nothing special for this week aside from regular day-to-day things, and continuing with getting all the older videos with their blog posts up within the next week or two. Must get back on track! So I guess with that said, you'll be seeing a lot of outdoor videos pop up, but what about games and commentaries? To tell the truth, they might not be on the horizon for October. Rejoice? Cry? Well, don't worry because as nicely as the school videos perform for such a low-traffic channel, I realize that putting up too much of them without exploring other outdoor categories will get very boring to some. Videos like the one with the "diagnosis" will you give you your proper outdoor fix. As well as the comedically-edited dealership videos. Well, they're not "proper", but it's a different theme. Oh, and let's not forget that unexpected figure video coming soon!

Thanksgiving 2017 Entry

Thanksgiving 2017 Entry๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŽ

Wow! Is there any point about writing a Thanksgiving entry in the night, when everybody's probably already passed out from all the turkey, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, corn, apples, cranberry sauce, camels or whatever you all may have possibly ate? I don't know, but I wanted to get it done earlier, but couldn't because I was busy, so I'm doing it now. Well, there's not really much I have to admittedly say, so this entry will be very short. I had a good time with relatives, and of course spent some time outdoors as well. And you know what happened outdoors? Come on, it's obvious: I filmed some places in a region I've never filmed before! Yeah, exciting eh? Well, as I promised to myself from the September 29th Entry: The Upload Chaos, my focus will be on editing all the older videos I have sitting on my computer, and getting their posts up before dealing with newer videos. So you probably won't see the videos from this region, likely until two weeks from now. It's nothing overly exciting, but still something fresh and different from the usual Durham Region and Torontonian places I normally do.

Do you know where this is? Hint: both photos in this blog were taken in the same city.
