2016 Boxing
Day Uploads
Wow,
Christmas day has passed quite quickly it seems! But it was a good,
busy day. No LG V20's or Tesla Model X's under the Christmas tree for
me, but thankfully, I didn't expect to see such things, nor did I get
my hopes up high, so it's all good. Now as you can see, I've got 9
videos
to talk about for
this entry! That's right; 9! But why?! What gives? Why so many videos
this time? Well, you'll just have to read on to find
the answer to those questions.
For this entry I'm discussing Altona
Forest Winter Visit,
Asphalt
8: Shelby Cavern Misery!,
Flappy
Cock: The Haphazard Flying Rooster!,
Dodge
Challenger GT All Wheel Drive [Reading & Commentary],
Alfa
Romeo Stelvio [Reading and Commentary],
Sleeping
In Ikea Phenomena [Commentary & Reaction],
Neon
Blitz: Get The Lights Up Quickly Yo!,
O'neill
Collegiate Vocational Institute & Simcoe Wandering
and Saint
Gregory's Catholic Church & Valleyview Gardens.
WOW! That's 3 outdoor videos, 3 gaming videos and commentary videos!
Hey wait, I've now just realized that I've just done a trio of videos
for each category that represents the main
types of
content you
find on my channel.
Pretty cool, but also very laborious and time consuming! Thankfully
and sensibly, these videos obviously weren't all done in a day, as
you can tell from the video descriptions from each. Instead,
they
were filmed between December 17, 2016
– December
25, 2016. Yep, I did some filming on Christmas day, because I really
felt like it, but that does not mean that I sacrificed family time
for YouTube time! Not at all! I was only out for about 60-90 minutes,
because I really felt like going out, and while I was out, I felt
like filming
some subjects.
That's all, now let's dive into it!
It's
been a
while since I visited a forest
while there was snow on the ground, so this time around I decided to
go Altona to film some scenic, wintery
beauty of nature. I was a bit concerned and annoyed about the fact
that it was precipitating wet snow that day, thinking that it would
interfere with filming, but thankfully it didn't. Unfortunately,
something else did – the cold! First time it shut off, but the
video was saved because it showed the “turning off device”
message. Then
it rebooted with no warning after filming the 3rd
segment, which meant
that the MP4 file was present in the phone, but corrupted and unable
to read… It was after that, that I became seriously frustrated,
very unmotivated and scared to film again with this thing, because I
just don't know when it will randomly do this! There are options for
fixing corrupted MP4 files, but they tend to be very weird,
fraudulent, not work at all, or are prohibitively expensive. “What
am I going to do about this?” This
was the
question that kept popping up in regards to the ever frustrating
situation with my phone's painful instability. Should I just forget
about outdoor shoots and focus on commentary and games? Didn't want
to do that, so for now I just take the risk and now what to expect.
After getting over it later
that week, I decided to crank it out with the videos to make up for
the “slow down” even though I didn't
have to, but just felt like it. That
is the reason behind the record breaking amount of videos in the
batch of uploads: to show that I'm not going to let some stupid,
garbage, ancient, poorly updated-neglected-by-company phone ruin my
desire to create videos. Especially outdoor videos. It'll only be a
matter of time before I finally get a secondary device so I'll no
longer have to deal with the anxiety of this
garbage, 200-year old BlackBerry Q10. I remember ranting about this
sometime back,
and reminding people that BlackBerry 10 devices aren't garbage, and
the importance of keeping them
up to date and servicing them. However, if you do plan to get a
BlackBerry 10 device, do yourself a favour and buy a BlackBerry
Passport Silver Edition brand
new!
It's
the sturdiest, biggest, baddest and most powerful of the BlackBerry
10 bunch. If you do decide to buy used, make damn sure that the
seller provides a very honest, transparent history about the device
and any
potential problems!
The same advice can be applied to just about any phone, really.
Anyways! So it's unfortunate that I didn't make it to the other end
of Altona, but it was nonetheless a satisfying place to visit. The
woman taking pictures, the families and their dogs says a lot about
it.
So
in this episode, I was in French Guiana, The Great Wall, Iceland
Reverse and Barcelona. As you can tell from the title, the Iceland
segment was the focus for this episode. Why? Because I drove
hilariously bad while I was in the cave with the Ford Shelby GT500!
Seriously, I don't know why I struggled like that, but thankfully, I
didn't crash and made light of the situation by taking inspiration of
it and putting it in the title. Initially, the French Guiana race was
going to be a
silent segment, because I hated my commentary and found it too
awkward and lame, but ended up leaving it in for some reason and
nixed the idea. Not sure why, but I guess it wasn't as bad as I
initially thought. The Great Wall segment in season 8 was done more
so
for
profitability than practice. What? Gotta keep it honest! Some of the
races just don't pay too
well, especially those outside of season 8, so I tried to keep that
in mind in
order to gain decent profit during this episode.
The episode concludes with a segment in Barcelona, while racing with
the McLaren P1. It was a good, fast race, but wish I made more
successful barrel rolls.
Boy!
Finding this game wasn't easy! I don't know why the APK was pulled
from most app stores, so I had to go digging for it! As a result,
this nearly made me go for the more readily available Padak: Flappy
Cock, but didn't want to “give in” so I resorted to finding the
game I wanted. This should be common sense, but don't ever download
games from shady sources, as you risk installing infected apps and
nasty malware! Thankfully, that wasn't the case with this app
according to BlackBerry Guardian, but still, be careful! So, was the
hassle and effort worth it? Meh, not really. It is not a terribly
exciting game at all, and it's kind of weird and laggy. Like I
commented on the video, I probably would have been better off playing
the more readily available and maintained, Padak Flappy Cock, as
opposed to this particular
Flappy Cock.
So go with Padak Flappy
Cock
if you're looking for a Flappy Spin-off involving a “heroic”
cock.
Yes.
Yes. YES! It's about time we see an all-wheel drive American muscle
car! Finally! Some people must be so revolted at the idea of such a
vehicle, that doesn't even offer a V8 at the moment, but you know
what? I welcome it. You know what I would welcome even more? An
all-electric, all-wheel drive muscle car! I proudly declared that in
the video and will proudly do so here, because I do not care! Muscle
cars just aren't the rear-wheel drive only, big V8, gas guzzling,
poor handling, affordable, straight-liner cars of the 1960s and 70s
anymore, neither should we expect them to be. If they stay like that
forever, they'll eventually lose out and fail to keep up with the
competition. That's the reality here which is why they've changed
quite a bit now, but still largely maintain the idea of a two-door,
American, mostly V8, long hooded, aggressively styled car, but with
enough modern touches to make them relevant. Now if Dodge made an
all-wheel drive Hellcat Challenger they'll be on fire! Or better yet,
if they bring the Viper back with all-wheel drive, then that will
truly be some serious business! Who knows, maybe they'll even go
ludicrous and make an all-electric, all-wheel drive Viper because the
world is starting to realize how insane the acceleration is on
electric cars! Wow! Lots of electric talk here, but it's becoming the
future, so get ready for it!
Notice
how FCA is making more SUVs from brands people believe would never do
such a “disgusting” thing? It's because they're adapting and
realizing that it has to be done to keep them afloat. The world,
especially North Americans, LOVE SUVs!
North Americans love SUVs and pickup trucks, so this is why auto
makers are putting so much emphasis on these utilitarian
cars. I happen to love SUVs and pickups myself, as you'll know from
reading earlier entries or watching the immature dealership videos.
As beautiful and impressive as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio may seem, I'd
go for the Maserati Levante over it. Why? Well, if you just take a
look at it, it'll pretty much explain it: more luxurious fascia,
gangster, sporty, rough, cool and sinister. That's why – and
ohhhhhh, that trident! Gotta love that Maserati trident! But you know
what would be even more balls out shocking? A full-size, all-electric
Ferrari SUV!!!!!!!!! Hooooo hoooooo hooooooo! That would have the
world in a
frenzy of overwhelmingly negative and
positive emotions! According to the CEO, Sergio Marchionne, he
jokingly says that you'd have to shoot him first to ever see an
all-electric Ferrari, but you know what? That old Italian man is
going to retire soon, so if another guy takes his place, he might
just green light a radical Ferrari idea. You never know! It might not
be as radical as what I said, but who knows! Could be less subtle or
could be even “worse”!
Sleeping
Ikea is a bad, dumb, dirty idea! Don't do it! It's not cool or funny!
Don't you have work or school or something? I don't know why people
have to do such unwelcome things, but alas! It's the world we live
in! As I mentioned in the video, sleeping in Ikea creates a problem
for safety, financial and sanitary reasons: for safety, you never
know if someone could just leap out and harm the workers or shoppers.
They could also shoot them if they're armed or cause destruction
through other means. For financial, well, that's obvious isn't? Just
pack your bags with small to moderate sized goods, and then leave
anytime in the night! Also, let's not forget about the possibilities
of taking cash from the registers and other areas. And for
sanitation… oh boy… well, lots of things: peeing and pooing the
beds and furniture, spitting, vomiting, ejaculating, menstruating,
copulating and onwards! Just use your imagination here! At the end
of the day, do everyone, including yourself, a favour by not sleeping
in places where you are not welcome! Go sleep outside in the woods
(camping) or something if you feel the need to sleep somewhere other
than your home.
For
real though, if you don't trace the lines quickly in this flashy,
colorful, neon-lit game, you will easily lose! Neon Blitz is a timer
game where you must complete and
trace
the figures of various LED subjects from cats, owls, cups, etc. in
order to get them to light up and allow you to move on. You can use
and unlock various powerups and earn lots of stars and points by
completing a design. Yes, and like I say on the video, if you don't
have long, elegant, skinny fingers, I highly recommend that you play
this game with a stylus or you will have a very bad time! This game
also happens to be available on Android, so luckily for Samsung
Galaxy Note and LG Stylus 2 users, they have a stylus conveniently
fitted into their phones. This game was probably free on Android (and
likely loaded with ads! LOL!), but costs $0.99 CAD in the BlackBerry
World. $1 isn't a big deal, and was worth it in my opinion, as it
was well built, very colourful and runs buttery smooth. The only
thing I didn't like was when the “Get 25 Stars” screen appears.
It seemingly didn't allow me to go back, which I found very
frustrating, so I had to exit the app whenever that showed up. I had
to do this twice during my 15 minute session with this game. Either
way, the graphics, colours
and gameplay still make this game awesome!
Oh,
O'neill! What a characteristic place you were to visit and film! Your
castle-like tips, the arches, old charm look, you had it all! It was
highly satisfying to walk around and film this place, but what wasn't
satisfying was editing time! I hated the audio, so I completed took
it out and just fitted it with lovely Christmas music since it is
December after all, so why not? Enjoy it! It was a cold, but very
sunny day, so that did not stop me from filming. What did give me
doubts however, was the fact that my phone has issues with random
reboots! If you read the entry above for Altona Forest, I won't
bother whining about it again here. THANKFULLY, that did not happen
while I was filming this Oshawan high school! I did pray about that,
so maybe God answered my prayer? LOL! Now by the time I was finished
with this place, but
I did not feel like putting the camera down just yet, so I briefly
ventured south of the school on Simcoe Street and soon concluded the
video there. But wait… there was another tempting looking site
nearby – Saint Gregory's Church! You saw
the video on the channel, so you know what entry is next!
This
church and O'neill were in close proximity of each other, and because
I did not feel like putting down the camera for long, I saw this
beautiful place and filmed it! Two things I must mention before going
on: first, the video fortunately turned out a little blurry from
frost and condensation… even with a little wiping, it still failed.
It worked over at O'neill, but not sure why it did that for this
place? Sucked, but it didn't stop me from filming! The 2nd
thing is, like O'neill I hated the audio in this video! In fact, I
hated it so much
that I muted it altogether when I came around to doing another edit
of this video! That's right; I was initially going to upload a
version of this video with EXTREMELY poor, choppy, gappy audio and
call it “Cringey
Video of St. Gregory's Catholic Church & Valleyview Gardens!”
No. Just no! Thankfully, the high standards side of me kicked in and
told me to either a: scrap the video altogether, or b: redo the video
and either mute it or replace it with good music! Well, as you can
tell from the presence of the video on YouTube and the existence of
this entry, I went for option B. I worked hard to get that video, and
took a risk with my crappy phone that didn't give out on me during
that segment, so there's no way I was going to just scrap it
altogether unless I really had to. Now on with the video! Despite
that grand appearance, it didn't take too long to complete a
walkaround of Saint Gregory's, so I proceeded to walking down a road
called Adelaide. Soon, I saw a
sign for a park called Valleyview Gardens and went on to filming that
place. It was a nice place to visit, and concluded the video shortly
after wandering onto some road out of it. Watch the video to see what
wacky thing I did during the trip.
The
Lost Video
“Whoa,
GuuzakaTube! I thought you said that there was only going to be nine
things you'd talk about here, not 10!” You must be wondering.
Well, there would've been a 10th
entry, but unfortunately, the phone finally decided have a fit after
filming a
GM dealership for a few minutes. And worse, it was the shut off
without the warning, so that meant a guaranteed corrupted file….
Lovely! Well, I did get to film O'neill, Saint Gregory's and
Valleyviews, all of which were great places to stop by in explore,
and
in Oshawa so I can't complain too
much. I even made sure not to get my hopes up too
high, because it would've been too good to be true, to have the
doodoo phone successfully film three outdoor videos in a day. Sad,
but it's reality. Besides, I've already done
a Pickeringian (LOL!) General Motors dealership before, but thought
it would've been nice to get an Oshawan one as well. Anyway, happy
Boxing Week and don't kill or hurt anyone over materialistic goods!
