2016 Boxing Day Uploads

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                                              12.26.16

2016 Boxing Day Uploads

Wow, Christmas day has passed quite quickly it seems! But it was a good, busy day. No LG V20's or Tesla Model X's under the Christmas tree for me, but thankfully, I didn't expect to see such things, nor did I get my hopes up high, so it's all good. Now as you can see, I've got 9 videos to talk about for this entry! That's right; 9! But why?! What gives? Why so many videos this time? Well, you'll just have to read on to find the answer to those questions. For this entry I'm discussing Altona Forest Winter Visit, Asphalt 8: Shelby Cavern Misery!, Flappy Cock: The Haphazard Flying Rooster!, Dodge Challenger GT All Wheel Drive [Reading & Commentary], Alfa Romeo Stelvio [Reading and Commentary], Sleeping In Ikea Phenomena [Commentary & Reaction], Neon Blitz: Get The Lights Up Quickly Yo!, O'neill Collegiate Vocational Institute & Simcoe Wandering and Saint Gregory's Catholic Church & Valleyview Gardens. WOW! That's 3 outdoor videos, 3 gaming videos and commentary videos! Hey wait, I've now just realized that I've just done a trio of videos for each category that represents the main types of content you find on my channel. Pretty cool, but also very laborious and time consuming! Thankfully and sensibly, these videos obviously weren't all done in a day, as you can tell from the video descriptions from each. Instead, they were filmed between December 17, 2016December 25, 2016. Yep, I did some filming on Christmas day, because I really felt like it, but that does not mean that I sacrificed family time for YouTube time! Not at all! I was only out for about 60-90 minutes, because I really felt like going out, and while I was out, I felt like filming some subjects. That's all, now let's dive into it!

It's been a while since I visited a forest while there was snow on the ground, so this time around I decided to go Altona to film some scenic, wintery beauty of nature. I was a bit concerned and annoyed about the fact that it was precipitating wet snow that day, thinking that it would interfere with filming, but thankfully it didn't. Unfortunately, something else did – the cold! First time it shut off, but the video was saved because it showed the “turning off device” message. Then it rebooted with no warning after filming the 3rd segment, which meant that the MP4 file was present in the phone, but corrupted and unable to read… It was after that, that I became seriously frustrated, very unmotivated and scared to film again with this thing, because I just don't know when it will randomly do this! There are options for fixing corrupted MP4 files, but they tend to be very weird, fraudulent, not work at all, or are prohibitively expensive. “What am I going to do about this?” This was the question that kept popping up in regards to the ever frustrating situation with my phone's painful instability. Should I just forget about outdoor shoots and focus on commentary and games? Didn't want to do that, so for now I just take the risk and now what to expect. After getting over it later that week, I decided to crank it out with the videos to make up for the “slow down” even though I didn't have to, but just felt like it. That is the reason behind the record breaking amount of videos in the batch of uploads: to show that I'm not going to let some stupid, garbage, ancient, poorly updated-neglected-by-company phone ruin my desire to create videos. Especially outdoor videos. It'll only be a matter of time before I finally get a secondary device so I'll no longer have to deal with the anxiety of this garbage, 200-year old BlackBerry Q10. I remember ranting about this sometime back, and reminding people that BlackBerry 10 devices aren't garbage, and the importance of keeping them up to date and servicing them. However, if you do plan to get a BlackBerry 10 device, do yourself a favour and buy a BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition brand new! It's the sturdiest, biggest, baddest and most powerful of the BlackBerry 10 bunch. If you do decide to buy used, make damn sure that the seller provides a very honest, transparent history about the device and any potential problems! The same advice can be applied to just about any phone, really. Anyways! So it's unfortunate that I didn't make it to the other end of Altona, but it was nonetheless a satisfying place to visit. The woman taking pictures, the families and their dogs says a lot about it.

So in this episode, I was in French Guiana, The Great Wall, Iceland Reverse and Barcelona. As you can tell from the title, the Iceland segment was the focus for this episode. Why? Because I drove hilariously bad while I was in the cave with the Ford Shelby GT500! Seriously, I don't know why I struggled like that, but thankfully, I didn't crash and made light of the situation by taking inspiration of it and putting it in the title. Initially, the French Guiana race was going to be a silent segment, because I hated my commentary and found it too awkward and lame, but ended up leaving it in for some reason and nixed the idea. Not sure why, but I guess it wasn't as bad as I initially thought. The Great Wall segment in season 8 was done more so for profitability than practice. What? Gotta keep it honest! Some of the races just don't pay too well, especially those outside of season 8, so I tried to keep that in mind in order to gain decent profit during this episode. The episode concludes with a segment in Barcelona, while racing with the McLaren P1. It was a good, fast race, but wish I made more successful barrel rolls.

Boy! Finding this game wasn't easy! I don't know why the APK was pulled from most app stores, so I had to go digging for it! As a result, this nearly made me go for the more readily available Padak: Flappy Cock, but didn't want to “give in” so I resorted to finding the game I wanted. This should be common sense, but don't ever download games from shady sources, as you risk installing infected apps and nasty malware! Thankfully, that wasn't the case with this app according to BlackBerry Guardian, but still, be careful! So, was the hassle and effort worth it? Meh, not really. It is not a terribly exciting game at all, and it's kind of weird and laggy. Like I commented on the video, I probably would have been better off playing the more readily available and maintained, Padak Flappy Cock, as opposed to this particular Flappy Cock. So go with Padak Flappy Cock if you're looking for a Flappy Spin-off involving a “heroic” cock.

Yes. Yes. YES! It's about time we see an all-wheel drive American muscle car! Finally! Some people must be so revolted at the idea of such a vehicle, that doesn't even offer a V8 at the moment, but you know what? I welcome it. You know what I would welcome even more? An all-electric, all-wheel drive muscle car! I proudly declared that in the video and will proudly do so here, because I do not care! Muscle cars just aren't the rear-wheel drive only, big V8, gas guzzling, poor handling, affordable, straight-liner cars of the 1960s and 70s anymore, neither should we expect them to be. If they stay like that forever, they'll eventually lose out and fail to keep up with the competition. That's the reality here which is why they've changed quite a bit now, but still largely maintain the idea of a two-door, American, mostly V8, long hooded, aggressively styled car, but with enough modern touches to make them relevant. Now if Dodge made an all-wheel drive Hellcat Challenger they'll be on fire! Or better yet, if they bring the Viper back with all-wheel drive, then that will truly be some serious business! Who knows, maybe they'll even go ludicrous and make an all-electric, all-wheel drive Viper because the world is starting to realize how insane the acceleration is on electric cars! Wow! Lots of electric talk here, but it's becoming the future, so get ready for it!

Notice how FCA is making more SUVs from brands people believe would never do such a “disgusting” thing? It's because they're adapting and realizing that it has to be done to keep them afloat. The world, especially North Americans, LOVE SUVs! North Americans love SUVs and pickup trucks, so this is why auto makers are putting so much emphasis on these utilitarian cars. I happen to love SUVs and pickups myself, as you'll know from reading earlier entries or watching the immature dealership videos. As beautiful and impressive as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio may seem, I'd go for the Maserati Levante over it. Why? Well, if you just take a look at it, it'll pretty much explain it: more luxurious fascia, gangster, sporty, rough, cool and sinister. That's why – and ohhhhhh, that trident! Gotta love that Maserati trident! But you know what would be even more balls out shocking? A full-size, all-electric Ferrari SUV!!!!!!!!! Hooooo hoooooo hooooooo! That would have the world in a frenzy of overwhelmingly negative and positive emotions! According to the CEO, Sergio Marchionne, he jokingly says that you'd have to shoot him first to ever see an all-electric Ferrari, but you know what? That old Italian man is going to retire soon, so if another guy takes his place, he might just green light a radical Ferrari idea. You never know! It might not be as radical as what I said, but who knows! Could be less subtle or could be even “worse”!

Sleeping Ikea is a bad, dumb, dirty idea! Don't do it! It's not cool or funny! Don't you have work or school or something? I don't know why people have to do such unwelcome things, but alas! It's the world we live in! As I mentioned in the video, sleeping in Ikea creates a problem for safety, financial and sanitary reasons: for safety, you never know if someone could just leap out and harm the workers or shoppers. They could also shoot them if they're armed or cause destruction through other means. For financial, well, that's obvious isn't? Just pack your bags with small to moderate sized goods, and then leave anytime in the night! Also, let's not forget about the possibilities of taking cash from the registers and other areas. And for sanitation… oh boy… well, lots of things: peeing and pooing the beds and furniture, spitting, vomiting, ejaculating, menstruating, copulating and onwards! Just use your imagination here! At the end of the day, do everyone, including yourself, a favour by not sleeping in places where you are not welcome! Go sleep outside in the woods (camping) or something if you feel the need to sleep somewhere other than your home.

For real though, if you don't trace the lines quickly in this flashy, colorful, neon-lit game, you will easily lose! Neon Blitz is a timer game where you must complete and trace the figures of various LED subjects from cats, owls, cups, etc. in order to get them to light up and allow you to move on. You can use and unlock various powerups and earn lots of stars and points by completing a design. Yes, and like I say on the video, if you don't have long, elegant, skinny fingers, I highly recommend that you play this game with a stylus or you will have a very bad time! This game also happens to be available on Android, so luckily for Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Stylus 2 users, they have a stylus conveniently fitted into their phones. This game was probably free on Android (and likely loaded with ads! LOL!), but costs $0.99 CAD in the BlackBerry World. $1 isn't a big deal, and was worth it in my opinion, as it was well built, very colourful and runs buttery smooth. The only thing I didn't like was when the “Get 25 Stars” screen appears. It seemingly didn't allow me to go back, which I found very frustrating, so I had to exit the app whenever that showed up. I had to do this twice during my 15 minute session with this game. Either way, the graphics, colours and gameplay still make this game awesome!

Oh, O'neill! What a characteristic place you were to visit and film! Your castle-like tips, the arches, old charm look, you had it all! It was highly satisfying to walk around and film this place, but what wasn't satisfying was editing time! I hated the audio, so I completed took it out and just fitted it with lovely Christmas music since it is December after all, so why not? Enjoy it! It was a cold, but very sunny day, so that did not stop me from filming. What did give me doubts however, was the fact that my phone has issues with random reboots! If you read the entry above for Altona Forest, I won't bother whining about it again here. THANKFULLY, that did not happen while I was filming this Oshawan high school! I did pray about that, so maybe God answered my prayer? LOL! Now by the time I was finished with this place, but I did not feel like putting the camera down just yet, so I briefly ventured south of the school on Simcoe Street and soon concluded the video there. But wait… there was another tempting looking site nearby – Saint Gregory's Church! You saw the video on the channel, so you know what entry is next!

This church and O'neill were in close proximity of each other, and because I did not feel like putting down the camera for long, I saw this beautiful place and filmed it! Two things I must mention before going on: first, the video fortunately turned out a little blurry from frost and condensation… even with a little wiping, it still failed. It worked over at O'neill, but not sure why it did that for this place? Sucked, but it didn't stop me from filming! The 2nd thing is, like O'neill I hated the audio in this video! In fact, I hated it so much that I muted it altogether when I came around to doing another edit of this video! That's right; I was initially going to upload a version of this video with EXTREMELY poor, choppy, gappy audio and call it “Cringey Video of St. Gregory's Catholic Church & Valleyview Gardens!” No. Just no! Thankfully, the high standards side of me kicked in and told me to either a: scrap the video altogether, or b: redo the video and either mute it or replace it with good music! Well, as you can tell from the presence of the video on YouTube and the existence of this entry, I went for option B. I worked hard to get that video, and took a risk with my crappy phone that didn't give out on me during that segment, so there's no way I was going to just scrap it altogether unless I really had to. Now on with the video! Despite that grand appearance, it didn't take too long to complete a walkaround of Saint Gregory's, so I proceeded to walking down a road called Adelaide. Soon, I saw a sign for a park called Valleyview Gardens and went on to filming that place. It was a nice place to visit, and concluded the video shortly after wandering onto some road out of it. Watch the video to see what wacky thing I did during the trip.

The Lost Video
Whoa, GuuzakaTube! I thought you said that there was only going to be nine things you'd talk about here, not 10!” You must be wondering. Well, there would've been a 10th entry, but unfortunately, the phone finally decided have a fit after filming a GM dealership for a few minutes. And worse, it was the shut off without the warning, so that meant a guaranteed corrupted file…. Lovely! Well, I did get to film O'neill, Saint Gregory's and Valleyviews, all of which were great places to stop by in explore, and in Oshawa so I can't complain too much. I even made sure not to get my hopes up too high, because it would've been too good to be true, to have the doodoo phone successfully film three outdoor videos in a day. Sad, but it's reality. Besides, I've already done a Pickeringian (LOL!) General Motors dealership before, but thought it would've been nice to get an Oshawan one as well. Anyway, happy Boxing Week and don't kill or hurt anyone over materialistic goods!

Jesus Unable To Give Peace?

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                                             12.24.16
Jesus Unable To Give Peace?

Yeah, yeah! Not the Godliest guys to begin with per se, but there's no denying that their saxophone music sounds so good!

Anyways, so why am I writing this? What triggered me to write this entry upon this Christmas Eve of 2016? Well, firstly, I wanted to actually type about my thoughts about this shortly after I watched the video “Moon Hooch: Between The Notes (Episode 17)” about a 1-3 weeks ago, but I never got around to it because I've been scrambling all over the place with various things. Now that I'm finally here, and feel like I have some time to properly reflect and type my honest opinion and facts about what was mentioned, I will do it. I have even transcribed the words from the video at the points where Wenzl McGowen talks about peace! Hilarious? Overkill? Much appreciated? Who knows. Depends on who you are and how you perceive it. I kind of wanted to flex some audio transcribing capabilities of mine anyway, so why not? Just a fair disclaimer that there's a possibility that it may not be 100%, but at the same time, I believe that it is no less than 99% accurate. This was a good exercise!

Transcribed Audio Segment On Wenzl's Peace Response
[1:36 - 2:01]
Jesus with his heart throbbing. Line in front. Bless him; bless the God of all creation that does great deeds everywhere, who has exalted our days from the womb, and has acted towards us in his mercy. He may grant us cheer for our hearts, bring us peace… all our days.

[2:04 – 2:41]
The thing is... you know, I like peace, but I think peace is something you have to work for. It's not something somebody else can give you, like a god. You know, like peace comes by freeing yourself from all dysfunctional mind patterns. Behaviour patterns, anxieties, rejections… all of that, letting go of that, having no self-image, just absorbing what you perceive. That's peace. That's something you can work a whole lifetime for. I think that's kind of why we're here in the first place, you know? Like, to acquire peace.

Alright, so a fairly interesting, thoughtful response I must say, but when I heard it, I felt some strong agreements and disagreements from within about what he said. It was mostly agreeable, but the “unknown”, disagreeable parts were what triggered me to write this in the first place, because why not? It's been a while since – or wait! Have I even ever done a response like this on the blog? Don't think so! Anyways, so yes, I agree that peace is something that is created when we choose to do good. Starting from within with good thoughts, a good mindset, a good heart, thus leading to good actions. When you even look at the dictionary, a physical edition of Webster's New Explorer in this case, it's definitions are spot on with what he said: a state of calm and quiet; freedom from disturbing thoughts and emotions; a state of concord. Ok? Seemingly pretty darn obvious for most, yet there's not enough of it in this world…

So! What did I disagree with? The part where he thinks that Jesus is unable to give peace. Surely he can, but why isn't he giving us peace? You see, we had it in the first place, but have chosen to rebel. Why? Because we we're given choices. Surely, everything from the beginning could have just been set straight permanently and eternally to be peaceful and good, but then it would've lost the true meaning of love and freedom. As strange, weird, unfair or drastic as it may sound, it's reality. The force of evil comes from Satan, while the force of goodliness comes from God. Some, many will not accept that, but the reason how peace and the existence of good is even possible in the first place, even in such wicked times, is because God exists. God grants us, and makes it possible for peace to exist, but does not force us to behave or think a certain way; that's up for us to choose. This post can potentially turn into a very deep, complex entry, but I'll leave it at here for now, and just say that I'm glad I finally got around to doing this. It really made me think and ponder about peace, yet reminded me of why it exists in the first place, and the importance of remaining committed to following Christ. Happy Christmas Eve and God bless.

Fun fact: most hardcore or long-time followers of Moon Hooch may already now this, but apparently Wenzl McGowen is a Spaniard, by nationality at least. That explains his accent. I've been curious about it for quite some time, but just figured this out today. McGowen is an Irish/Scottish surname, which does not guarantee that his father is Celtic, but still interesting information anyway. If his mother is Spanish, then that does at least guarantee that he is actually part Spaniard. He looks it in my opinion, and his appearance even reminds me of a Spaniard guy I once knew in Grade 11.

December 08, 2016 Uploads

GuuzakaTube 12.07.16

December 08, 2016 Uploads

For quite some time now, I've been typing up my entries while my videos were in the process of being uploaded to YouTube. This time, I'm typing this entry a day earlier, or I should say partially... I've got six videos to talk about this week, and these are Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, Walking Down Lamb's Road, Caristrap Street Capture Fail, PewDiePie To Delete Channel at 50,000,000 Subscribers? [Commentary], Australian Day Prep Quiz and Asphalt 8: 100th Video On The Channel. 23 days left till a new year begins. Not sure what that has to do with my videos, but anyways! Let's discuss these videos.

So, as you can tell from the video, this video wasn't actually planned, but when I passed by this place and saw it looking “nice and empty”, I decided to go back to it and film it before doing Lambs Road. The last church that I filmed “recently” also took place in Bowmanville on Lambs Road, but I didn't realize how close in proximity these two churches were, and the fact that this 2nd recent church video ended up being shot in Bowmanville as well. Cool and coincidental! I didn't take very long to cover the perimeters of the church, but knowing me, I didn't want to end the video too soon, so I resorted to wandering around the area surrounding the church. Mainly its larger than expected parking lot and an area facing the cemetery. Speaking of that, I've made numerous comments about it in the video, stating about my uncertainty of going there, legalities, etc. To this day, I still haven't really looked into, but at best, I remember someone saying that there's no “hard rules” in regards to the matter and that you just have to use your common sense, or ask the supervisor of the area if you are very uncertain. Now I know y'all aren't stupid, but by common sense in this situation, it's avoiding areas that clearly say prohibited entry or no trespassing, refraining from vandalism and property damage, ray, ray, ray! It's too obvious so I'll stop here and move onto the next entry – actually no, I need to say a couple more things such as the appearance of a standing man in the grass! I don't know if my camera's ratio was large enough to get him in on the screen, but because I found it so unexpected and eerie, I steered away from the idea of trying to capture him. Not that I like to film people to begin with anyways! LOL! After finishing with Maranatha, I moved onto the next area I wanted to cover in Bowmanville: Lambs Road!

I don't think I mentioned it from the last time so I'll ask you now: did you know that the day I filmed the Bowmanville Adventist Church was actually supposed to be the day when I was supposed to film Lambs Road? Now you know! But wait, why is that so? Because a military macaw told me not go down there at that time – Kidding?! Anyways! So this title is really self-explanatory, as all I truly did was just film while walking down Lambs Road. What kind of interesting things did I see? Not much as you can tell from the video, though the strip south of Lambs at Baseline is kind of cool because of the houses and the remote loop at the end that terminates in front of a barrier to stop you from walking onto the 401 Highway of Heroes. The phone also shut off after filming for around 14 minutes, which was such a tick off, but I'm glad that it happened when I got to the end of the road, as opposed to it happening halfway or something. Still, I would've preferred for it to not happen at all, but alas! The old man doesn't want work in the cold for too long. What a piece of frustrating garbage! Sigh....... Despite that, I still proceeded to Caristrap, though judging from the title and video, you will very likely be able to predict how things went over there.

I was only able to film this place for about a minute and a half. The reason? You already know: it's because old man BlackBerry felt that he's been out in the cold for long enough, so he did not want to do anymore filming, or he'd give me a middle finger, threaten me with his “Turning off device” message and then fire his red laser! Wow! What a stubborn uncooperative old fart! Now I know I'm not the only one with this issue of having their phone shut off from the cold, as I've heard complaints from other people using iPhones saying that they do that sort of thing all the time, but why? I'm almost certain that I read somewhere on how these phones are supposed to remain operational in at least -10 °C! No? Or was that just my eyes fooling me with such a wishful, lusty number? But seriously though, they should honestly be able to remain functional in extreme temperatures, because not everyone lives in places with “normal” weather year round. I know that most of those “Active”, “Sports” or “Military” phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active or Kyocera DuraForce XD for example, claim that they can operate in extreme temperatures, but main stream phones should be able to, too! After all, mainstream phones are in the hands of more people, so smartphone makers need to get their act together with that, and stop making such stupidly thin, unibody, non-removable battery phones! Now I know my BlackBerry that I'm using doesn't fit those 3 descriptions that I just mentioned, but it's still pretty thin! A thicker body would've allowed for a bigger better and a little more weather resistance! Wow, crazy how this has gone from being about Caristrap to a rant about how phones should be more weatherproof. On a final note, the video files on BlackBerry 10 devices seem to save if the phone shuts off from the cold and displays the “Turning off device” message, but if it make a static-like click sound and abruptly proceeds to a black screen, then nothing is saved. Joy.

Pew! Pew! Pew! PWARSHT! What?! Yeah, I know, but we kind of saw this one coming, didn't we? How depressed, annoyed, angry and pent-up with bitter emotions he's been? Subscriber or not, you hear quite a bit about this man, because he holds the title to being the most subscribed on YouTube. How? I honestly don't know because I don't follow this guy, but even when I do watch a video of his on a rare occasion, he honestly just seems like most other highly subscribed comedians. The article says it largely due to the Bro Amy, what ever that's supposed to be, and I guess the rest of it has to do with his looks? Who knows. Lots of possibilities, but I'm not really here to discuss all of that. Admittedly, I still haven't checked sources to confirm whether or not he's still doing this, so if anyone reads this and wonders why it's written the way that it is, that's why. So how serious could he be about this? Well, he said he is dead serious in a video that he wanted to axe his PewDiePie channel at protest to the unfair changes in algorithms that supposedly lowered view counts, subscribers and cost per impressions, but is this really true? I've heard others complain about it on Twitter, but YouTube of course claims that they've done a thorough investigation, and that there are no truths to the complaints people have complained about. Well of course! As I say in the video, it's hard to believe whether it's actually true that they haven't done anything to hurt YouTubers income, but at the same time, I believe that it may also very well be the fact that these YouTubers probably just need to accept reality, which is the fact that people are likely just naturally unsubscribing from them. For these reasons, I've just made my conclusion about it likely being a blend of both: some changes to algorithms and natural view/subscriber loss. Another interesting note is how it's been said that he's also very tired of his PewDiePie persona and would like to start new. Rebranding himself maybe? Well, I've rebranded my channel for my own reasons as discussed in this video, so he has personal reasons behind his move as well. That's all I'm going to say about this Swedish man for now, and it'll be interesting to see if he actually does this at 50,000,000 or not. A lot of people will say “strong” things these days and not actually do anything. Look at the elections for instance: so many people swore that they were going to leave America if Trump won, and when he did, they realized that it was too much of hassle to leave their beloved country, so they just had to grudgingly accept it. Well, maybe some people did actually leave, so I should just specify and say that no celebrities have actually left to date, though I didn't check so I could be wrong. Who cares though! Whether they left or not doesn't interest me, because it's not like they're buying a house for me, nor would I want them to, lest they try to control me through – Ok! Just what am I going on about?! Done.

12.12.16 Edit: A little late, but the troll of course didn't end up deleting his channel. He deletes another random channel I (and probably many others) never heard about.

Fun Probably Obvious Fact: PewDiePie and I both started our channels in 2010. April 29 and January 4 respectively.

Ohhhh, good ol' land of Oz! Some day, I'd really like to explore you! I've been wanting to explore this great country (as well as many others) for quite some time now. The reason? Oh, I've got so many reasons, so let's just say that it has to do with the wildlife, variable, but warms landscapes, and all the awesome cities they have down there. Palm cockatoos, Leadbeater's cockatoos, Gang gang cockatoos, budgerigars, cockatiels, carpet pythons, black headed pythons, kangaroos, kookaburras, wombats, koalas, blue tongued skinks – WHOA! This entry is supposed to be about a quiz and here I am fantasizing about all the wildlife that lives down there! Wow! Anyways, so last week I have expressed about how I wanted to redo those terribly synced quizzes on Canada and the USA so badly, but I ultimately decided that I'd just do another quiz on another country: Australia! How well did I perform on this test? Poorly! LOL! There were too many questions asking about the dates of when certain events happened, and historical people, so that caused me to get a 4 out of 15!!! That's 27% out of 100%!!! Whew! Thank goodness that wasn't a school test, or that would've been an abysmal grade! Nonetheless, it was fun doing it and I'm proud to have a quiz video on the channel with properly synced audio to show that I'm capable of doing far better!

Boy oh boy! There is a ton I have to say for this final entry that deals with the 100th video, so prepare your eyes and mind for a long story. So yesterday (December 07, half of this blog has been typed today, 08) shortly after I finished editing and processing this video, it saved to the desktop and I took a break. It was the 6th and final video of the batch for this week, so I was glad to get it done. Unfortunately, by the time I came back upstairs my computer's screen was black and unresponsive, but I could hear the fans and components revving quite loud. I tried tapping the screen repeatedly, but it did not wake up. I tried tapping various keys on the keyboard, but still, no avail. I thought “Alright, probably one of those annoying forced updates from Microsoft?” So I left it alone for some time and went on a walk. When I came back, I checked on it and it was still doing the same exasperating foolishness. I then decided to do other things such as some housekeeping to pass some more time. After a shower, I came back to it, only to find that it was still completely unresponsive and making lots of noise. At this point, I was exceedingly annoyed with it, so I finally decided to just press the power button a few times, and then long press it to shut it off. I was little worried that I probably would've bricked it, but at the same time, I felt that I had to intervene, because there was absolutely no sign of responsiveness and I did not want it to overheat and damage internal components. When I turned it back on, it started up like normal. I thought “Great, it didn't give in” until when I got to the desktop. There was nothing to be seen except a single recycling bin! I thought “Oh shoot, this isn't looking good!” So I probed around to see what was wrong. I was able to pull up the menu and look at other files. It seemed like everything that wasn't on the desktop was fine, until when I touched the recycling bin and saw “XXXX user drive is corrupted and unreadable” I then froze in great fear and worry. Dear God, it was at that moment where I knew I messed up. A lot of things ran through my mind: “What did I do wrong?” “I shouldn't have done that!” “Why now?!” “Oh, God why?!” “Why didn't I back up my files, first day after I bought that Seagate Portable Drive?” I then just resorted to restarting my computer. Thankfully, everything missing from the desktop came backWHEW! That was a freakin' close call! I must've gotten really lucky or something, because that truly could've just been the end of it, but thank God it wasn't! The files were arranged messily on the desktop, but I didn't care that much, as I was just glad to see that everything was supposedly fine, with the exception of two files: Asphalt 8: 100th Video On The Channel and a folder where I kept a slew of sound files and images from my videos I was making this week. While I wasn't pleased about that, I was glad that those two were the only files that had gone corrupt. After probing around various areas of my computer to look for damage, I later backed up all of my files onto the Seagate USB 3.0 2TB Backup Plus Portable Drive and then shortly a USB for extra protection. The speed of both of these devices had me seriously amazed, especially the Seagate! Seriously, how did it manage to copy nearly 100GB of files? It wasn't even the “fast version” and it managed to do that while I was watching an HD YouTube video! Wow, what a speedy beast! I really hope it holds up well over the long term, because I love its performance, size and looks. Now due to the series of events that took place yesterday, I wasn't able to get this entry up on the 7th, because I had to still type up the stuff for the later videos, and worse, I had to put the 100th video together again, or so I thought! It turns out that the system file scan wasn't 100% useless! This morning when I booted the computer up, it did another scan and it fixed the folder with the sound files! YES! Would've been even better if it could've just fixed the video itself, but alas! Guess I can't have it all... Thankfully, because I didn't delete the raw original videos from my phone, all I had to do was transfer a copy again (actually did this as one of the first things upon booting), clipped the loads and unwanted bits, and perfectly re-synced the audio. Everything went well, until when I heard some screechy, horrific, sci-fi noises during the first 45 seconds of the Iceland race in Season 1 with the Tesla and Audi! Whoa, what could've borked here?! No idea, so I just silenced it out before rewatching the whole video and publishing it to my computer. My oh my! Yesterday and today has truly been a series of hectic, worrisome, down right annoying events, but I am now pleased to say that everything is in order and that the videos are now on the internet. Now I know this entry had nothing to do with the gameplay video itself, but you know what? Truth is, everyone can tell what the video is about by simply watching it. This place was truly intended to be more of a “behind the scenes” or an additional unmentioned details sort of thing. This not only makes it more interesting for me, but probably for anyone else who actually reads this, rather than to just simply reiterate what was already openly seen on the videos. Should probably try to do a better job at keeping it like that.
