May 31st Entry: Technical Difficulties

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2019-05-31

May 31st Entry: Technical Difficulties

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Due to technical difficulties with both my computer and Windows Movie Maker, the blog, Twitter and Instagram posts for the May 2019 batch of videos will have to be pushed to some point in early June.

I do not know why Movie Maker keeps giving me errors every time my video gets to a certain percentage. I also do not know why my computer has picked up this disgusting habit of turning itself of restarting itself, when I attempt to wake it up from its sleep. It looks like I'm going to have to get a new computer and video editor sooner or later. For now, I'll have to see how I can get things to work. If you have any suggestions and fixes for these problems, please share them.

April 30th Entry: Loving The Lake

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2019-04-30

April 30th Entry: Loving The Lake

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

There are nine videos in this batch of uploads, three of which are dedicated to the lake. ๐ŸŒŠ It has been quite a while, not terribly long though, since I've visited the lake. Filming the April 2019 lake videos has reminded me how lovely it is to be by Lake Ontario. To find out more about my time down there, read the appropriate areas of this blog post. Let's dive into the videos! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ“ธ⭐

While this video comes in at just under two hours, the original video was over that! ๐Ÿคฏ But unfortunately, the audio was badly out of sync with the video... ๐Ÿ˜ญ Well, most of it. Therefore, I had to remove it which also allowed me to speed it up easily. There would  be no point in watching Asphalt 9 without any sound at the original speed. Audio issues aside, the hunt for the hyper hybrid red colt was successful! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽ It really is a shame that Greedloft only gives it four cans, before you have to watch 7+ advertisements to refill it... ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Not cool. I've said it numerous times in videos, but not here, so I'll say it: either a) remove the fuel system. b) Double the number of fuel points the vehicles currently have. Example: 6/6 vehicles would become 12/12, 5/5 = 10/10 and you get the idea. That way, it would give players so much more freedom to enjoy their favourite cars, while Greedloft could still implement ads for those that managed to burn through all of it.

Crofter's Organic Strawberry Jam 235mlDruide Citronella Repellent Spray 250mLJoy of the Mountains Oil of Oregano 30mLGreen Cricket Body Lotion Lavender 500mLJason Soothing Aloe Vera Body Wash 887mLGlee Gum Triple Berry 16 Pieces, and Glee Gum Sugar-Free Lemon Lime 15 Pieces. Whew! ๐Ÿ˜… That was a lot of product names to copy and paste! Now, you can obviously see what I unboxed simply by looking at the photo below, or from the video's thumbnail. What you want to know is how good these products are. The strawberry jam is nothing special. Tastes great, mild and natural. Not like one of the other brands where you tell they've added extra sugar to it. I have not recently tested the citronella oil, so I cannot comment on it. In the past, I found it to be effective against mosquitoes, but do not know how well it holds up now. The oil of oregano is amazing! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ It's done a great job for helping to ward off colds. It's not bulletproof, but it sure does help a lot. The lavender lotion smells just like the essential oil, but is not overwhelming. That said, if you have sensitive skin, you should avoid it. The aloe vera body wash is refreshing and non-irritating. The glee gum just tastes like gum riddled with cane sugar. While cane sugar is nice, I expect gum to last and freshen your mouth. This gum does not do that. Well, at least not the flavours I chose. Overall, I'm satisfied with most of these goods I bought. I just wish they'd have those Nature's Path Granola Bars Berry Strawberry 5x35g in stock. ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeh, the usual madness. Don't worry, not every single episode is going to feature merchandise. In fact, you will be pleased, sad, or indifferent to hear that Episode #21 does not have products with their brand names smiling and waving at you. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well, the videos aren't sponsored, but you know what I mean when I say that. Anyways! Products aside, I finally bought a Selmer Series II Bass Saxophone - Silver Plated!!! ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ๐Ÿคฅ You know what that emoji means, right? Yeah, I think you do. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

This marks the first episode where I strayed away from the once-a-month recording of Asphalt 9. The Caribbean was just too special to ignore. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฅฅ๐Ÿฅญ Both of my parent, and much of my relatives came from it. Some are still living on some of the islands. Ah, I really do need to visit it again someday. For now, let us discuss this episode. As mentioned in the video, the tracks are pretty and all, but not very fun to drive on. They are very twisty, and painfully tough to master -- especially when they feature that rainforest section. ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜ต๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด The short ones without it are ok, though. The career races require you to use a convertible or topless car. The problem? Majority of them are locked away behind tokens...๐Ÿ™„ I tell you man, an Asphalt game without tokens would be great! ๐Ÿ˜ Too bad, it's not reality. ๐Ÿ’” Thankfully, tokens are not as tough as they were to get in Asphalt 8, but still. Did I tell you that this video has audio in sync? ๐Ÿ˜Ž Yeah, and so will the May 2019 Asphalt 9 videos.

23.7 gigabytes! ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฒ That's how big this video turned out to be. You see, it's reasons like this why many aren't flocking to other platforms. YouTube, despite all the pains, pangs, and treatment towards creators, allows you to upload video sizes all the way up  to 128GB at no cost to you, anytime, any day of the week, as much as you want. Till other platforms can match or best that, YouTube will forever reign as the video uploading king. Uploading and size aside, it felt amazing to not only play, but record this nostalgic game! ๐Ÿ˜„ Sure, it was awkward as first with the BlackBerry Passport keyboard controls, but it became better when I got them figured out.

Really wanted to do this commentary while walking around the headquarters, but alas! I did not do that, because there was a whole heap of people in the area that made me nervous. Funnily, this video also happened to be filmed during a holiday weekend, too. ๐Ÿ˜ Wait, that itself explains why there were so many people: it's because this place is also home to a wildlife area and campgrounds further east. Anyways! Let's talk about General Motors! ๐Ÿ’ญ I have not been closely following the news with what's happening in the United States. For Canada, we know that the Oshawa plant is going. What will happen next? It is still uncertain. I may have heard a word about it being turned into a commercial area. If true, it will take time, perhaps years, to get the area cleaned up and turned into something else.

I've said it in the video itself and the video description, but I think the best thing Canada can do is put its own automotive brand into the facility and headquarters. Sure, that's going to take some time, but it will be damn well worth it! ๐Ÿ˜ค It will show the world that Canada no longer only manufacturers foreign nameplates, but that it is also strong, creative and innovative. ๐Ÿš™๐Ÿ Let's go, Canada! ๐Ÿ You can do it! ✅ I believe in you! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

It's amazing how a 2013 smartphone like the Nokia Lumia 1520, can still take such fine videos. It wasn't the warmest day, but it was so refreshing to walk through the trails, listen to the animals, then come down to the coastline to film the waves and nearby surroundings. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŽฅ One advantage the cold weather has is the absence of mosquitoes, but that won't last too long... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I welcome the warm weather, but I do not welcome the mosquitoes, ticks and other biters...๐Ÿ˜ถ So, um, yeah, if you plan to do videos and photoshoots in outdoor areas, remember to bring protection such as the citronella I discussed above. Lyme disease or West Nile Virus are both terrible things...๐Ÿค’

Though it may have looked cool to see the BlackBerry Passport in the Nokia Lumia 1520 and iPhone 6s Plus' videos, watching and editing this was no fun. ๐Ÿ˜ด Next time, I will hold it and pan it around to make it not only more interesting for myself, but for viewers. Unless you were just "listening" to the waves, then sure. Watching? You're going to fall asleep -- wait, maybe that's another thing this video could be good for! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

A gorgeous video, but had to remove the sound...๐Ÿ˜’ Next!

So yes, if you're a gamer or outdoors person, you will be pleased with the April 2019 uploads. I do have plans to do more Lake videos, so if you enjoyed those above, you will want to stay tuned for May 2019. ๐ŸŒŠ Enjoyed the fact this month brought two Asphalt 9 videos? You will again, be pleased to know that May 2019 will also bring two as well. ๐ŸŽฎ This will not be the case for every month, but just confirming this for May. As mentioned above, Casual Instrumental Noise Session Episode #21 has been filmed, and it will feature something from nature. ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ Nothing to get excited about, but it will be a refreshing departure from the merchandise you've seen for the past several episodes. ๐Ÿ˜… Well, I guess that's all I have to say. Have a safe weekend. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒŠ

March 31st Entry: Spring Gaming

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2019-03-31

March 31st Entry: Spring Gaming

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Though the gaming videos featured in the batch of uploads I'm about discuss were filmed before "Spring day" I still feel that it's a fairly accurate title. 3 gaming videos, and one talk video about a game. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Yes, that's right: a talk video. FINALLY! ๐Ÿฅณ Though they take some work to put together, the end results are highly satisfying. So now let us dive into each of these videos! ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿต๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿฅ€☘๐ŸŒฑ Because there's a garden in the spring ocean. That's why. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ Anyways, disregard that remark and read along! ๐Ÿ˜†

Lights out + Fidget spinners + vocals = the 19th episode of the musical madness. ⚡๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ”ฅ Though that only lasted for a few minutes of the episode, it is certainly bound to have you intrigued, weirded out or indifferent? ๐Ÿ˜ Various emotions, needless to say. Noticed the lack of tinny, scratchy audio distortions in this one? That's because I did not film this episode with the iPhone 6s Plus. ๐Ÿ˜† Mind you, am I not trying to say that the iPhone 6s Plus has horrid video quality. I have already mentioned why I have that problem in numerous entries, so rather than bore you about what's causing it for me, I encourage you to read December 4th Entry: The Novemberian Crowd and scroll to "Lynde Creek Autumn 2018 iPhone 6s Plus 4K" Even better, comment on that video if you have a solution. I guess I don't have much else to say about the episode, other than for you to watch it! ๐Ÿงจ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต Glowing fidget spinners are oh-so-much-fun to work with! ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh, Antonio Vivaldi! ๐ŸŽป How sweet and fine your music is! ๐ŸŽต As sweet as it is, putting together the soundtrack was not. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Back in July 2017 when I uploaded "Asphalt 8 With Video Game Soundtracks" that video was 43 minutes. It seems as though I must have forgotten that putting together a soundtrack is not as quick as it seems. ๐Ÿ˜ถ It's not painstakingly long either, but definitely not as easy as simply throwing a bunch of song together and calling it a day. This video is just shy of two hours, so definitely wasn't a quick task! ๐Ÿ˜… As you can tell from their rare presence on my channel, these types of videos aren't a norm on GuuzakaTube. For the video back in 2017, I intentionally wanted to put music on it, for the fun of it. Such was not the case with this video. I only did it because I could not commentate on it at the time. Contrary to what I said in the call-to-action, the out of sync audio had nothing to do with why I did not include narration. Anyways! If you love the viola d'amoreAntonio Vivaldi, Asphalt 9, one of the three, or all of the mentioned, then you will enjoy this video. It's certainly unique from the usual Asphalt 9 videos on YouTube that typically feature pop, dance or electronic music.

iHerb Unboxing March 2019

So, is iHerb just another one of those random Health Food Websites, or are they actually good? ๐Ÿคจ My experience with them has been good, thus far. Mind you, I have only bought from them once to date, but it was a good, fast experience. I placed an order on Monday, and had the parcel come all the way from California to Ontario by Friday that same week. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Now before some of you say, "I've had goods from further places arrive sooner than that" Let me tell you that I did not use any sort of "express shipping" when I made the order. Perhaps it helped that I did place the order in the morning/early afternoon? Either way, they are clearly experienced with shipping to Canada.

So my goods! How are they holding up so far? The Weleda Face Balm is as good as the reviews said it was, so that's great. ๐Ÿ˜Ž The Epic Dental Gum taste great. Between the Orange-Mango and Fresh Fruit flavours, I personally prefer the Fresh Fruit. As one of the reviewers noted, the flavour runs out very quickly. ๐Ÿ˜ Like, really quickly. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพ Thankfully, they do have 50 in a pack. The package is a plastic cylinder at 7.6cm x 5.1cm x 5.1cm,  and weighs 0.09 kg. It cost $7.21 CAD at the time I wrote this post. Random nitpick: I do not like how the gum does not melt on your tongue, after keeping it there for a while. A bit of a strange thing to point out, but just saying. The original Juicy Fruit for instance, does melt.

TunnelX: Direct Screen Recorded Gameplay

Before uploading this video, the last BlackBerry 10 gaming video I uploaded was on March 08, 2018! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฏ That's right, more than 1 year ago...๐Ÿ˜ถ Well, this month presents you with not one, but two BlackBerry 10 gaming videos. They may be of the same game, but with different setups. If you've watched my BlackBerry 10 gaming videos (hopefully not the ATA branded ones! ๐Ÿ˜ณ) you will notice that they have both external and internal sounds. Well, truth is, I had to capture the in-game audio with an external microphone. It was not too much of a big deal, because at least it allowed me to pair the captured audio with footage recorded internally from the BlackBerry Q10. For some reason with my BlackBerry Passport, I don't know why the internal audio stops playing whenever a screen recording application starts running in the background. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I don't know if it's a problem with all BlackBerry Passports, just mine, or a perhaps a problem that is relevant to all BlackBerries running OS 10.3.3? ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Who knows... Do you? ๐Ÿคจ It's great that the screen recorder saves the entire video and captures external audio, but narrations alone are not sufficient. Unless, of course, the game has no audio then that's a different story. Majority of games do. Audio issues aside, it was great to record and play TunnelX again! ๐Ÿฅณ

The alternate setup. Certainly not anything new. I have done this before, with some of my iPhone 6s Plus gaming videos during the times when the internal audio was abysmal. As I've noted numerous times, the advantage of this setup is the powerful audio. It is not as desirable as watching screen recorded gameplay. Maybe for some people, they like watching your hands actually playing the game? ๐Ÿค” Who knows. To each their own. Most will agree that internally recorded videos are superior. All in all, I think this video turned out alright.

Top 10 Cars I Want Added To Asphalt 9 Legends

Finally. A talk video with slides. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I have no idea if another one will come soon, but it was great to be able to get this one done. ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ Yes! ๐Ÿš—๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ•น So! What is the likelihood of Gameloft adding any of those cars in the video? Extremely slim if I must be honest. Most of the cars that people request are often high performance coupรฉs. And even then, Gameloft still goes ahead and adds the most random cars that nobody asked for, so yeah. ๐Ÿ˜ Not something to hold your hopes up high for. I originally intended to do two videos on the Asphalt series: The Top 10 video you see here, and a video about the atrocious changes of the Fast Lane Update in Asphalt 8. The latter did not happen, due to time constraints, so I decided mention some of it in the Asphalt 9 video. What you will not know, is the fact that the Fast Lane Update part was supposed to be longer. Here is what I was originally going to say after I mentioned the “Top 10 Cars I Want Added to Asphalt 8 Airborne”:

"As much of you will know, I quit that game back in 2018 when it became too horrible to play. Fast forward to 2019, and guess what? They have gone even lower than where I thought they go! Now I have to get this out of the way first, because if you have not seen the commentary videos that other YouTubers have done on Asphalt 8’s Fast Lane Update, it is atrocious. Yes, I said it, which seems counterintuitive to say in a “Top 10 Wishlist sort of video” but you know what? Let’s be real here: how can you feel good about the longterm future of Asphalt 9 Legends, based on their appalling treatment towards Asphalt 8 Airborne? Let’s just say that they should have terminated Asphalt 8 before the start of 2019, and allocate their resources towards making Asphalt 9 better. The game that they wanted us to play so badly. Mind you, Asphalt 9 is good so far, but purposefully making your predecessor as crappy as possible in order to coax people into upgrading, reminds of when Apple was slowing down their older iPhones to make people upgrade to the notches! Not cool Gameloft. Not cool at all!"

And here is what I ended up saying:

"My oh my! It has been forever since I have done a talk video with slides! Now if this title looks eerily familiar to a video you may have seen already, that’s because it should. That was “Top 10 Cars I Want Added to Asphalt 8 Airborne” which I have done all the way back in January 2018. And, um, yeah! Speaking of that game, it has now turned into a state of despair as of the January 2019 Fast Lane Update, but that’s a whole other subject on its own. Now let’s get down with this top 10 list!"

The highlighted part is the reason why I took it out. It is certainly not because I'm afraid of taking savage. Quite the opposite, actually. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ But because I felt that it was far too distracting from the video's topic. I felt that I would be better off going full-in on it, or just keeping it brief. So this begs the question: will I be releasing a commentary video on the Fast Lane Update? Nah. I don't think I see the point anymore. I have already touched on it twice within the Asphalt 9 video, and because I don't play Asphalt 8 anymore, I honestly can't be bothered with it. Oh, and now that I typed out what I was originally going to say, it makes it even more of a waste of time and resources to consider doing now. So what do you think? Should I have kept the original line in, or was I right in not detracting from the original subject of a Top 10 list? Comment and let me know. ๐Ÿ“

If you are a reptile owner or admirer, chances are you watched a lot of snake videos. If you have seen the latest controversy going on, it's the spider royal python potentially getting banned from certain venues. I believe this applied to expos in Europe, so I'm not sure where else it may have happened. Several YouTubers expressed their opinions stating they should be banned because of their neurological wobbling. Others, particularly the "more experienced" people disagree with the move for a ban. What do I, GuuzakaTube, think about it? I posted the following comment on NERD's video:

"So after watching this video, I still believe that something should be done. No, I do not think they should be banned, because when bred and cared for properly, they're largely functional. What I think is that breeders should work towards phasing them out. ๐Ÿ’ก Many different problem-free morphs and species of snakes exist out there, so why stick with a morph that can have mild to severe motor problems? Kevin himself even admitted that there's no way to tell how severe the offspring will come out, meaning that the morph is clearly dicey. He also admitted to breeding the "worse" wobbler he owns, after he just said that he believes in proper self-regulation. ๐Ÿคจ Not exactly a good example of self-regulation right there... He clearly does care and know a lot about snakes, but just saying. ๐Ÿ˜ Anyways! Spider business aside, I give him props for bringing in so many cool python morphs into the pet trade! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ⭐๐Ÿ"

Another thing I want to ramble about is the use of hole punch selfie cameras. ๐Ÿ™ˆ You have seen them most notably on the Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+. Goodness gracious, is it really that bad to have slim bezels like on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9? An all-glass display does not offer any useful functionality. ๐Ÿ˜ All it does is make the phone more fragile and prone to accidental touches. Are manufacturers going to stop this stupid race to the most bezelless display? Sadly, it does not look like it. ๐Ÿ˜‘ One can hope they will miraculously go back to removable batteries, headphone jacks and microSD cards. Many devices still offer headphone jacks and microSD cards, but for how much longer?

Smartphones and wobbling pythons asides, you can expect to see gaming videos next month, a noise session, and I'm not sure about what else. Maybe a creek video or unboxing? ๐ŸŒŠ Time will tell.

February 24th Entry: The Five

GuuzakaTube                                                                                                  2019-02-24

February 24th Entry: The Five

๐Ÿ”ตThis blog post may contain affiliate links

Welcome to the second blog post of 2019! ๐Ÿฅฎ Not only is it interesting that there happens to be five videos I'm about to discuss here, but that we're also hearing a lot about 5G. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, LG V40 5G, and several others.

Before I proceed to discussing the videos, let me say something in regards to these "foldable phones": I think the foldable phones look incredibly tacky and stupid. ๐Ÿ˜’ There, I said it. They cost way too much for such half-baked, ugly, unnecessary technology. You see, if they would just make them like a Nintendo 3DS XL, with two separate screens that can be folded completely in half, that would have beem soooo much better! But no, they insist on going with something that can be one flat screen at one moment, and then fold completely like a book or Nintendo 3DS XL in another moment. ๐Ÿคจ Good luck with that...๐Ÿฅด These companies would be FAR better of spending the money on software support! Just because you have millions to waste, that does not mean that you should. Alright, now to the latest videos! ๐ŸŒ

I have only managed to get one out of three Road Kings. ๐Ÿ˜’ Truth is, if I did not waste my tokens on that 2019 Lunar Year pack, the Mercedez-Benz pack, and then another 150 on single purchases, I would have been able to snag both the Apollo N and the Vencer Sarthe! ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿคฉ Too bad I did not think about that in advance. Thankfully, I can take my stupidity from then, to learn about how to spend my tokens in the future. This means that I now know better not to waste it on those "Buy 5 for 375 packs" nor should I ever "Buy 1 for 75".

For the next 7 days, I will have the choice between the Lamborghini Aventador SV Coupe or Multi-Featuring pack. Within the Multi-featuring pack, there is the chance to get 15 blueprints for the following: McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, Dodge Viper GTS, Aston Martin Vulcan, Nissan GT-R Nismo, or 3 of them, or 3-6 of other more common cards. I have no idea how good the odds are, but I believe that the odds for getting 15 of just one of those cars, yet alone multiples, is probably very slim. ๐Ÿ˜ I hope I'm wrong.

*Stops blogging for a moment to watch some YouTube videos of people opening Asphalt 9 packs*

Ok, I guess it's better to focus on car-specific packs, because both have horrible odds! Hold on, let me use a stronger word: ABYSMAL! ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ’€☠๐Ÿ‘น Therefore, you might as well focus on a pack that is guaranteed to give you a specific car's blueprints, than to try your luck with a fruitcake pack. ๐Ÿ˜ต One more thing I'd like to mention: this video is the first on my channel to cross the 60 minute mark. ๐Ÿงจ✨๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿฅณ

For some people, that would be considered a horrible thing, because you know, short attention span. For others, you'd be like "Finally!" While this particular video isn't too good because of the audio, the others will hopefully be much better. Like it or not, more 60+ videos are coming to the channel! No, not every Asphalt 9 video will be 60+ minutes, but don't be shocked when you see one at such lengths.

A video where I unpack, count and test SIM ejections pins I bought from eBay. I can say I'm pleased that the seller did not shorthand me with the quantity, nor did I find the SIM ejection pins to be weak or brittle. ๐Ÿ˜Ž You might say, "Seriously man? How much do you expect from pins that are simply used to open your smartphone's SIM tray?" While I obviously don't expect them to be some amazing, flexible, stainless steel wonders, I do expect them to more than just cheap pieces of metal. After all, you do not want pins that will break too easily, or worse, break off into your smartphone's SIM hole! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Yes, you can simply turn your phone onto its side, or use a magnet to get it out, but still. If you can prevent it, why not prevent it? ๐Ÿคจ

It's been a while since you've seen me film some toys, eh? ๐Ÿคก Well, the hyperlink in the title above will not only take you to such a video, but a video with the resolution specified in the title itself. Would have been sweet to see how they'd look in 2160p@60FPS, but neither the Nokia Lumia 1520, BlackBerry Passport or iPhone 6s Plus can shoot in such at that frame rate in 2160p. Wait, the BlackBerry Passport can't even do 4K, hence why I rarely make videos with it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ There's also the issue with my computer not being able to handle it, with its stock graphics card.

The Razer Phone 2 is the only member from the 2018 16:9 flagship trio that can do 2160p@60FPs. ☹ Ditto for the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium and Red Hydrogen One. And while the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium will almost certainly see a successor for 2019, I don't know if the same can be said for the latter two, especially the Razer Phone 2. Even if they all see successors, will they be 16:9? ๐Ÿค” Or will I just have to bite it and get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10? We'll see... Probably might not even end up getting any of these devices for all I know. Will I get more fidget spinners? Not sure at the moment. ๐Ÿคก
And this is why you invest in flagship phones: because they hold up well for years. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Despite being an "antiquated" 2014 smartphone, the BlackBerry Passport's camera is pretty nice. It's no Google Pixel 3, iPhone XS Max or Huawei P20 Pro, but it's clearly still plenty capable.

Uhhh, what was this episode about again? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ณ Yeah, I don't recall anything particularly spectacular about this one. There has definitely been much better episodes than this. Episodes that took place inside aluminum, episodes that had insane extended techniques, episodes that had seasonal music, and the list goes on. This one definitely falls short on the entertainment factor. The good news is that Episode #19 is thankfully different, and will definitely give you a laugh or have you be like "Da hell did I just watch?!" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ Oh, and it also has not been filmed with my iPhone 6s Plus, so the audio will be better. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

Have you seen it? "Seen what, GuuzakaTube?" You might ask. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ This Instagram post. ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿพ Many have seen, few have liked, and one has even commented. With it now being 2019, you would think that the couple of times I've addressed this, that it would stop. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ Truth is, those times where I did address it, it seems like the message has gotten lost within videos or blog posts where I dealt with the matter. ๐Ÿ™„ The solution? Make a blog post solely dedicated to the school videos with an FAQ once and for all! ⚠ Why I didn't do that since 2018, the year where much of the unwanted drama occurred, is beyond me. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพ‍♂️ Then again, there has been a number of times in the past where the proper solution for something was there, yet I did not take complete, proper advantage of it. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

2019 will not be a year of slackness and delay. Now, I don't want to make the entry for Waverly Public School a rant, so let us discuss the building itself, and leave the ultimate post and its details to its appropriate time. ๐Ÿ˜… Well, Waverly is not anything too special to be honest. Just your regular ol' suburban JK-8 school. Because the time I filmed it was somewhat close to sunset, it did make for some wonderful photography. Why I pronounced it as "Waverlay" instead of "Waverlee" a couple of times, is something that I wish I had not done, but oh well. ๐Ÿ˜ณ If I ever do film a place with a name just like that, I will hopefully say it correctly! ๐Ÿ˜…

And because it's not located at a tropical beach, I could not ride any waves. ๐ŸŒŠ Even then, I'm not into surfboarding. Never have been, and probably never will be. I'd rather film a walk along the coastline. Wait, I've done that multiple times already. Like this one for example. WHOA! So aside from Canada Day 2018, the last time I filmed a coastline video was October 07, 2017?! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜ญ Ouch! I need to do more of those for 2019! And like how I got my hands around 4K, we should be able to enjoy more details than ever before! Ohhhh, now I can't wait for it to get warmer to do this!!!  ๐ŸŒด☀๐ŸŒŠ

I want to get three gaming videos uploaded in the next batch. Not only does my channel happen to naturally have gaming as one of its major pillars, but it also happens to be a major pillar on YouTube, making it a win-win scenario. But you know what else is a major pillar of GuuzakaTube that has been missing in action for a while? Commentary videos.... ๐Ÿ˜ถ A few have been brainstormed, only to end up getting cancelled. ⚰ For March 2019, will there finally be a commentary or talk video of the sort? Its best not to say at this point. ๐Ÿคซ

So the only guarantees at this point are the games and Casual Instrumental Noise Session Episode #19. I've already made numerous ramblings throughout this entry, so I do not have anything more to say at this part. Wait, actually I do: LET ME MONEY RAIN UPON ME! ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ With this money, I shall get that Tesla Model X, Red Hydrogen OneSelmer Series II Bass Saxophone - Silver Plated, a 4K All-In-ONE PC and MOREEEEEE!  HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAA! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Alright, we're done. LOL. ๐Ÿ•’

January 26th Entry: First Month of 2019

January 26th Entry: First Month of 2019

And here I am with the first blog post of 2019! ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽ‰ Or in the other words, the final year of this decade. If there's one thing I should mention that's going to be exciting for 2020, is all the all-electric vehicles we're going to see! Rivian and Bollinger are two exciting startups that come to mind. I have heard of others like Atlis and even Havelaar, but I do not think they will have products released for 2020. Havelaar in particular, has been silent since 2017. ๐Ÿ˜ถ Are they still even doing anything? ๐Ÿคจ

Anyways! Let us just proceed to discussing the latest videos! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Admit it, this video probably surprised you, didn't it? After quitting Asphalt 8 all the back in July 2018, you probably may have thought that I would be forever done with the Asphalt series entirely and completely. Well, after taking a good, long break, I've decided to come back to their newer Asphalt 9 series. This time with a much more mature, responsible mindset. From that day and onward, I've learned to never put so much time and effort into something not worth the sweat. ๐Ÿ•’๐Ÿ’ง So with that said, I play Asphalt 9 very casually and lightly, meaning that I will not become an elite anytime ever, nor will I even try to get anywhere near there.๐Ÿ˜‰

If you can remember back in 2018, a lot of people insisted that Asphalt 8 was far better, and that Asphalt 9 was all graphics and shine, and no actual fun. Or perhaps it was just the vocal minorities that gave me that impression? ๐Ÿคจ Either way, I honestly think that Asphalt 9 is a good game. In fact, better than Asphalt 8. Yes, I said that and here's why:

1) All cars are buildable with blueprints. At first, that seemed like a horrible idea, but seeing as though blueprints aren't hard to get a hold of, it's actually good

2) More events for tokens and credits. Seriously, tokens are far easier to get in this game! In Asphalt 8, they were such a damn nightmare! ๐Ÿฆ‚๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ธ Well, I don't know how token-demanding this game is yet, so we'll see if there's catch here. I have noticed that you can actually buy token with your credits! ๐Ÿคฉ Dang, they have really taken the community's backlash from Asphalt 8 seriously with this game. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

3) The graphics. This is something you cannot deny. In fact, many sources say that Asphalt 9 actually has the best graphics to date, for a mobile racing game. Now that is a serious accomplishment. ๐Ÿ†

4) Ads are far less intrusive. Nuff said.

5) Progression is easier. They've managed to do it in way that it does not make them game itself easy, but also not painful like Asphalt 8.

6) With the exception of certain vehicles like trains, it seems like traffic doesn't get you murdered.

Overall, I'm liking it better and I can see where they've listened to the community with the gripes they had with Asphalt 8. Now if only we could have manual acceleration, and 1080p@60FPS for all high-end devices, and not just the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Seriously, there are phones with gaming modes meant for this. Some phones are even centered around gaming. Razer Phone 2 and Asus ROG anyone?๐ŸŽฎ

I really do wish that stores still kept dual layer holster kickstand cases in stock for the BlackBerry Passport, but nope! ☹ The Seidio Surface was the closest thing I liked, so I went with two of them. Really wanted it in blue, but couldn't justify the price for it on Amazon. ๐Ÿ˜ต How am I liking them? They look nice, but I certainly wouldn't be clumsy with them. They don't look like they can take a serious fall or beating. And yes, their colours do not come off when they come in contact with alcohol or vinegar. ๐Ÿ˜†

You already know that the video is about me unboxing and installing these screen protectors, so I won't bore you about that. What you want to know is how well they hold up. I can tell you that the clear versions are indeed nearly invisible, and do not mess with your smartphone's digitizer. However, they have a big drawback -- they're fingerprint and smudge magnets! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ So even though the quality and clarity is amazing, you're going to need to wipe them occasionally in order to keep your screen clear. This is where their matte versions come in hand. I'll discuss my time with one further into this blog.

I originally had plans to make this "retirement" video more like a review of the BlackBerry Q10, but I decided to just make it a Multiple Platform Mobile Gaming Video instead. It has now been over three weeks since I retired the old Q10. Do I miss it? Not really, actually. Even though it had a number of hardware features that are grossly missing from today's smartphones, the itsybitsy screen and underpowered processor were getting long in the tooth. Did I mention how dull the screen is? Oh right, I said that numerous times in the video. ๐Ÿคฃ Seriously, now owning a Nokia Lumia 1520, iPhone 6s Plus and BlackBerry Passport, I honestly have to ask myself why I made myself go so long without buying proper flagship(s)? ๐Ÿค” Wait I know the answer to that question: ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ถ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Needless to say, since the day I bought the Nokia Lumia 1520, it taught me to never buy anything that isn't a high-end flagship ever again. ๐Ÿ˜Ž From all the videos and photographs I shot, the places I've been, and how it pioneered the channel during the ATA1201058 days, my BlackBerry Q10's fingerprints will not be forgotten. And speaking of photographs, there are numerous pictures I took before retiring the device. Therefore, if you see #ShotOnBlackBerryQ10 on Instagram occasionally and you read bothered to read this blog post, you'll know why and won't be confused as to whether or not I really retired it. ๐Ÿ“š

Can you hear it? The distortion and screechy sounds? This is exactly why I have been hesitant to film videos with the iPhone 6s Plus, ever since the day I discovered it was doing that. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ I'll have to find a video editor compatible with MOV files, or see if there's a certain setting I'm supposed to use. Or maybe there's an application that allows you film in stereo and produce the video files as MP4s? Who knows.... ๐Ÿ™„ I hate how dependent iOS is on 3rd party applications.

Anyways! Even though I've had the microSD cards in my BlackBerry Passport and Nokia Lumia 1520 for weeks now, I have not done extensive filming or application loading with them yet. The biggest thing you probably want to know, is whether or not I achieved the 90 MB/S they're advertising. The answer? No, and neither did I expect to. The average speed I got was 69 MB/S, while rarely hitting 74 MB/S. This is honestly not too bad. While some people might consider being short of 21 MB/S a flaw, the most important thing to consider is consistency. I made sure to not only bold that, but also highlight it. A card can boast 2 GB/S, but what good is it if it only goes that fast 3% of the time? While most people probably won't be transferring gigabytes of files frequently, unless you're media heavy like myself, that would be considered a serious flaw.

Speaking of media heavy, I do wish I got the 400GB version, but that price tag tho... ๐Ÿ˜ฑ And then there's the fact that I have no idea if the Nokia Lumia 1520 would recognize it. The BlackBerry Passport would, but it's not a device I bought for extensive photography and videography.

I wanted to return this screen protector and exchange it for the original clear HD version. But then I decided to just use it for a little longer, and abandoned the idea of returning them. I still do much prefer the clear HD, and will only buy those from there and onward. I'll just keep the matte screen protectors I already bought as emergency backups. So my word of advice: if you aren't sure whether or not to get a matte screen protector or a clear one, go with the clear version. Unless, of course, you really hate glare and fingerprints that much.

The 17th Episode, but the first of 2019! ⭐ Unfortunately, during the time gap between #16 and #17, I have not been playing the tenor recorder very much. As a result, the obvious suffered: tone and playing skills. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Quite badly, too. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ Not to the point that I couldn't read sheet music and play all the notes on the tenor recorder though, so that's good. ๐Ÿ˜… The only way that'd happen anyway, is if I were to not play for like a year or something. Even then, I'd probably still be able to simple music, because it's not like recorders are unfretted string instruments or something. That's not to say that they're a cake walk that can be played with a lousy approach, but they are definitely easier to get started on, that's for sure.

As for this episode itself, nothing super special. Just played some songs and poked fun at the objects portrayed in the video.

What's Next & Other Ramblings

What's next? YOU are next! ๐Ÿคช๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ”ฅ Kidding. ๐Ÿ˜ถ Ok, so let's talk about my video resolutions. I believe from some point in 2016 up to either late 2017 or early 2018, my videos have been optimized for 1920 X 1080 screens. Now, they are optimized for 3840 X 2160 screens! ๐Ÿ˜Ž That's right, 4K. While they have been 4K since I figured out why they weren't being exported in that resolution from August 2018, I've done more tweaks to keep them that way throughout. Of course, the screen recorded videos from the iPhone 6s Plus or BlackBerry Passport are exceptions, since no device can currently record the screen at that resolution. Maybe the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium will change that? ๐Ÿค” Or can the current Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium already do that? ๐Ÿคจ

So about the commentary videos...๐Ÿ˜… I've been mentioning for some time that XXX batch may have one, but never ended up recording one. Why? They take more time to put together, and not being on YouTube's payroll doesn't exactly make you motivated to want to put too much time into videos. Don't get me wrong. I do love filming videos, and I do care about making the videos high quality, but don't like editing and putting them together. ๐Ÿ˜ "So why not hire an editor to do the dirty work for you?" No. If I hated it that much, I wouldn't even bother with it in the first place.๐Ÿ‘€

Man, with all the electric cars coming between now and the next 1-3 years, I seriously got to start pulling in some big cash for them! ⚡๐Ÿค‘⚡ For far too long, an all-electric truck has been such a fantasy, but the next decade is FINALLY changing that! ๐Ÿคฉ YES! Now trucks, commentary, and resolution aside, I'm not entirely sure what videos will be in store for February. Let's just hope that 2019 will be an awesome, exciting, healthy year. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
