March 26th Entry: Impending Doom? My Fate Lies In Your Hands...

March 26th Entry: Impending Doom? My Fate Lies In Your Hands...

"Gosh darn it, GuuzakaTube! Another "Post of Doom" in less than three months?!" Yes, another one... That post in the hyperlink was about the whole new stupid YouTube policies that stopped AdSense advertisements from all YouTube channels with less than 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers as of February 20, 2018. So! What's the matter this time? A misunderstanding made by someone... ☠ A pretty serious one too... If there's ever been a time where I really wish I had a blog post finished within the week its videos were posted, now is definitely that time! I was torn inbetween whether or not, I should've actually cancelled this blog post today, but I've decided that I should just go ahead with it and tell you the story here. 😬 Well, I'm going to discuss last week's uploads first. Skip past all of the video titles and just head to the usual "What's Next & Other Ramblings"  to get straight to the story. ⚰ You know what's also really eerie? The fact that the first "Post of Doom" was uploaded exactly two months ago. Fast forward exactly two months from that day, and now here I am again posting about doom.

Ah, Ajax! It's been a while since I've been to you! I remember coming here last year to do several videos, but that was about it. Before the long outdoors absence, much of my outdoor videos have taken place in Clarington. As a result, I got bored of the eastern part of Durham and decided to do somewhere more western: Ajax! I considered other communities, but decided to go with this place. As you can see in the photos, it was a very sunny day, but be not deceived, for it was cold! ❄ I even commented on how I regretted not bringing a stylus to operate my smartphone's screen, but alas! It wasn't that cold and I managed film three locations around this area of Ajax. How did I like this school? It was great! It's a nice, large building that has a large field and trails near it, making it very interesting to explore and photograph.

The amount of references I made about this school's name being a knock off of Cadillac are numerous in this video. But seriously, is there a reason why they couldn't just go with Cadillac? Or would that be a copyright issue? 🤨 Considering that there are many places with "copyrighted" names around the place, I doubt it. I think that would only be an issue if you were using the name and logo with the intent of making money off it. Such is not the case here. I have actually just tried looking up the name now, and have been unsuccessful about the origin. It may just be a deliberate spin on the name Cadillac, or was just created out of sheer originality with nothing to do with that luxury marque. Ok, enough with the names and on with the adventure! Like the distant high school from it, this school too, has a lot field space and trails close it. Loved that! 🌳🌿🍃🌊 In fact, there was so much field space and winding paths, that it caused what was originally supposed to be the ending segment for this video, to turn into whole other video of its own: Chambers Drive Off-Trail Adventure. Read below to learn more about it.

How long has it been since I've visited a forest, ravine or off-road area of the sort? Too long to remember it seems. Boy, did it feel great to make an outdoor video that doesn't take place in a concrete jungle! 🌲😆🌳 That's not to say that I hate the urban videos. It's just that they do not give you that true adventurous feeling. This place's real name might actually be Miles Park, though I have a feeling that the unpaved trail winding towards Carruthers Creek, might just be a different unnamed area altogether. Who knows for sure. I suppose the Ajacians that zoned the park would know. Now because this time of the year is an awkward, temperamental transition from winter to spring in this region, the plants weren't green, there was no snow, and temperatures still haven't warmed up properly.  This combination would explain why the ravine looked the way it did in terms of aesthetics. And as you can tell from one of the photos above, there were indeed some unusual things in this place. What you don't see above, but in the video is that garbage area that gave the impression that somebody was camping out here. And then there was the fact that there was a couch in the creek. 🤯 Don't believe me?
See? This is far from the first time I've seen unusual things in areas like this. If you've been outdoors enough, chances are you've seen many weird things around a forest that shouldn't normally be there. Be careful what you film though. It's probably obvious why I'm saying this, so there's no need to repeat or add fire to that past event. 😐

One is good-looking, while the other is ugly. Still, I really want to win the Vanda, considering that I've poured so much time and resources into this "electric hypercar" as they put it. The tour is now in San Diego Harbour, but for some, they've already finished it and won the car. 😣 Lucky ducks! I find San Diego Harbour to be notoriously difficult because it's too damn easy to wreck yourself on something! In fact, I might actually consider this track to be the most wreckable track in the entire game! It's not that I don't know the way, it's just there are too many objects and things all over the place that make wrecking stupidly easy. Another thing that annoys me about these Championships is how they don't provide all the pro parts you need to fully pro the vehicle. Honestly, if they're going to make you have to max and pro to go further successfully, they should give you the parts without having to pay to advance faster! 😖 Freemium game problems.... I really hope that when Asphalt 9 gets a world wide release, that they get rid of this disgusting, infuriating freemium model. Doesn't Gameloft ever get tired of the complaints about the greedy token system or in-app purchases? Up to this point, they still have not made me give-in and never will. Now onto the Devel! 😈 This car was really the reason why I was largely inspired to make this video in the first place. It's not often that you see a ridiculously expensive token car become available for credits. When this finally happened, I went to grind as much credits as I could. I was having some serious fears and doubts that I would not make it in time, but surely, I did! 😅 I even mentioned in the video that with over ~5,220,000 credits, how I could have used it to max and pro the Vanda, as well as another premium car to help me with the Time Limited Events. But I didn't do that. I just wanted this Devel! It would have been better if it were the Aston Martin Vulcan, since it's non-elite and can driven over and over again without its stats decreasing, but whatever. The Devel Sixteen Prototype is the better-looking of the two anyway. Emphasis on prototype here, because I hate how the official 2018 car looks. The prototype's V-shaped headlights look like mean, stylish eyes, compared to the stupid-looking slit eyes on the official model. 🙄 I know, I know, I've remarked about this enough, but I just couldn't help myself here.

Episode # 4 of the madness! So what goes down in this episode? Nothing extraordinary, really. I do attempt to play Autumn (3rd Movement) and Hava Nagila again, but this time I'm actually successful! Well, mostly. It's much better than the failed attempts I've done in the previous episodes. Truth be told, Episode #3 has zero views up to the point of this typing, so nobody would've known or cared. I suspect that this one might get zero views as well, maybe 1-3 at most. Therefore, not much people are going to notice or care. Even if they did, big deal.¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I purposefully put these videos on the Internet not to show off skills or garner the attention of thousands, but just for fun and the sake of getting better on recordings.

Not even going to beat around the bush, so let's just get straight to it. ⚖

EDIT: It looks like the person that made their original comments, has now removed them. However, the fact that they've already put the information out there will put me at risk. Therefore, I will leave the information below as is.

"Have contacted Durham Catholic School Board and Durham Regional Police about you trespassing on private property & filming elementary and high schools.  What you are doing is creepy and parents are being made aware of it and of your description to watch out for you.  There is a law about trespassing on school property since it is private"

"Same message I replied with on the video:

Honestly not sure if this is really a legitimate comment, a desperate defamation attempt or even trolling. However, I will not take this accusation lightly, so here's what you should be aware of:

1. Notice the lack of staff and students? That's because these buildings are filmed when they're closed. I'm aware of peoples' privacy rights, and want to respect that.

2. These videos are not done for the sake of being creepy or intrusive at all. Anybody watching these videos would know that, which brings up the next point

3. People actually enjoy these videos! If you've taken the time to actually look at the comment sections of these videos, you'd see that a lot of people tell me how these videos bring back memories, how they missed their old schools, and some even tell me things about their schools that I didn't know. Some people even wonder why I don't go indoors, and I tell them that I cannot do that, because that would truly be illegal and invasive.

4. I've seen people come onto these properties to play, walk their dogs, or do even worse like linger, smoke casually or vandalize. The act of me simply wanting to capture casual, vlog-like videos, pales in comparison to the worse I've seen people do during my short visits to these properties.

5. I'm very well aware of the presence of security cameras, which would also just further prove that nobody, including the buildings themselves, are in any danger. This is why nobody cared over the years , because there was no need for concern.

If you have seriously contacted officials about this, you've actually done more harm than good, by spreading false information, fear, uncertainty and doubt . You should have gotten more details before judging and trying to defame someone, and making them look as though they're some high-profile paedophile, voyeurist, property destroyer or something."

I have no idea how far they've gone with this, but I knew that I couldn't take it lightly. This is a very sad example of "shoot first ask questions later". I was going to do a commentary video on this today, in order to try and stop the spread of this harmful misinformation video about me. But I figured I'd do this post today, and try to get the video up tomorrow.

Edit: Since the comments have been retracted, I'll hold off for now and continue to monitor the situation.

While schools are in fact private property, people come onto them all the time to walk their dogs across the fields, play with the basketball hoops and so forth. For the most part, the schools do not actually care about brief walks or photo sessions. Why this just had to happen out of the blue, is just bewildering. I can understand them being concerned about safety and all, but this was a large stretch. As I've mentioned in my own response above, nobody cared, rather they enjoyed the videos, because they took the time to watch, ask and explore the channel to know that nobody has ever been in danger from them over the years. Here is how you can help me, so listen up carefully!

📌If you do happen to see me, or ever had people that were curious about my activity, let them know that absolutely no harm and privacy invasion is being done! Let them know that he's just doing a casual walk around and vlog on the school.

📌 Comment on the Cadarackque Public School video, and let it be known that you enjoy the school videos, and never felt endangered from my presence
The comment has been retracted, but I still encourage you support these types of videos and keep fear levels down. If you see a cameraman that is audibly making commentary and avoiding getting close to people, you do not need to be worried, if it's me. That said, I can't speak for other "cameramen", but to my knowledge I believe that I'm the only one that's making these types of videos in this part of Ontario.

📌 Get a sufficient amount of details before making judgement! This point cannot be stressed enough! When uncertain of something, ask! Do not carelessly assume the worse, because you know what? This might affect you, too.

The last thing you want to have happen is for people in Durham Region to start getting worried whenever a camera is rolling near a building, park or area where people gather. I know this might seem like an exaggeration, but it can very well happen, depending how far this goes. This can be especially bad for aspiring YouTubers coming out of the Durham Region, who also like to shoot outdoor videos. Folks, this matter is indeed serious. Throughout my history of making videos on YouTube, you'll know that I've never asked for this type of help. I really enjoy seeing these places, and majority of you do too. If you'd like to see a future of more school videos on the channel to give you memories, joy, laughter or just for the sake of seeing what a certain school's exterior looks like, help. 🙏🏾 While I understand that there has been a few, rare circumstances of people invading the schools or harming the students, that will never be the case on GuuzakaTube! My track record and history backs that up 100%. 💯✅

My fate lies in your hands...
